- I'm not sure why, but I found Titus 3:4-7 printed out on my desk, and ready for Grappling, so here's a bonus edition this week.
What a glorious text!
Grappling with the Text is a unique Bible Study that focuses on the words of the text. With a unique blend of humor, bad drawings, and theological insight, these studies draw us closer to the words of Scripture and the joy the Lord has for us there.

What concerned me for a few years was the verse "washing of regeneration and renewal of Holy Spirit. This I found concerning for I saw them as two seperate applications,
and some point to this as one must cooperate in this work of renewing to be saved. But I see clearly now it is one action done by the Holy Spirit. Thank God.this I settled now.Good stuff. I am not Lutheran but am busy reading book of concord. Especially Justified by grace section being an ex catholic. How comforting that Jesus saved us as you highlighted.
Hooray for a bonus Grappling! What a sentence. Thank you and keep 'em coming.
great visual text layout for better parsing and understanding. more bonuses, please!

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. It is December 25. It is Christmas Day. This passage from Paul's letter to Titus will most likely be read in churches holding services today. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
This is great! Thank you for sharing the word!
