You took me right back to my childhood. Every summer as a kid we went camping at the state park at Little Pine. I haven’t been there in over 10 years. This makes me want to make the trip there again for a weekend. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
The first American settlers didn't arrive in that area until 1782 so there probably weren't many graves in the Carsontown/Carsonville Cemetery (it's known as both) dating back to the 1700s. I couldn't find when the cemetery was established. There should be another cemetery for English Mills in on a small knoll in the center of the campground. It's called Old English Cemetery.
What a beautiful spot. That water really did sound so good. The peace and quiet was just amazing. Actually all the scenery was just awesome. Loved the cemetery, not old but still really nice. Thanks so much for taking me along. Please stay safe

There is a legend that says that the Native Americans that lived on/around the Pine Creek where afraid to venture too far north. The old growth forest was so deep and dark that they believed evil spirits dwelled within.

I have a b&w photo taken when I was 6 with my sister, Dad and a Family friend @Labor Day 1956 on the Dam . I believe right after it was built. Was told during Hurricane Agnes, 1972 the water rose so high it went over the spillway for a hour and a half. It is really beautiful in the fall when the foilage reflects in the lake. If you go on north you will go to English Center on rt 287.
Naomi what a beautiful name. She has sure taken us to many beautiful places! What a gorgeous spot to enjoy a snickers Cliff, just amazing. Peaceful little cemetary, loved the simple wood fencing. Taking my daughters tomorrow to a town in MO to see some family history. My Uncle Dutch's farm I used to visit, splash in the creek barefoot & run around the fields. Plus small cemetary with our ancestors. Important for them to know. Thanks so much just such a lovely beautiful area. 🥰

Aww man wish I would have know. Right across the river you can see a valley. It is the Williamsport water authority. They have great trails. The blue bird trail is a 2.5 mile hike with the Remington ruins estate. Giant foundation. Just had the kids there and got some monarch caterpillars and now they are in their chrysalis they are waiting patiently for the butterflies to come out
There were two more Carlsons buried there but you did not reD their names thus. The first Carlson was born almost 200 years ago. I believepele are very interested if you were to read the names of graves when you stroll through a cemetery. Idon't think it nors too.many of us unless you worry about some kids that may watch you. I doubt that. I think we are mostly adults and lives lived long ago in historic America is always interesting.....and it is a nice thing to do to pay them respect and ponder who they were...after all. They walked once were you walked today..... else it was again a very nice video and I appreciate when I can go on your beautiful nature walks with you .ThNk you !
Really beautiful places. We got a direct hit from hurricane Laura. Luckily, we had minimal damage to our house. Other people in the neighborhood incurred extensive damage
That's a very pretty park. So many of the mountains in PA seem to be just low plateaus. But that area looks like the familiar terrain I equate with Appalachian high country. It was nice to see some more impressive vertical relief in your video today.
All too familiar scenes for me as you were at my stomping grounds. In fact in the beginning of the video you filmed as you drove by my friend's house where I stay when I am up there 4 or 5 times a year. The crick and the lake are so low right now due to the drought that I didn't even get to go kayaking when I was up there over July 4th. There are some great fishing holes on the crick in the area of the eagle watch area accessible only by kayak. Also the eagles haven't been around much at the lake as the nest which is now deteriorating is directly across from the eagle watch area. There was much more activity last year as there were two eaglets born. Hopefully you stopped and filmed at Upper Pine Bottom State Park going up Rt 44 from Waterville. It is a very small state park but I love the creek that runs through it and along Rt. 44. - Randy

great little park and waterville is a cool area, big pine parking lot next, on to ole bull, (i could have filmed this last week for you!)
Would love to do some hiking in the east coast USA when the borders reopen. Looks like beautiful country there.

On occasion I do, but you can also use google maps to see where i am.
