It would be worth MUCH more, without chucky's head on the back. What a waste.
😂 So true. I haven't bought any with his dome on it.
I agree. I only get ones with the Queen on them. I hate looking at that punk Charles.
not buying .. just buy only the Britannia Silver 2024 Bullion coin .. since the face is the same, Why pay more !!.
I Buy American Only.

first thought that comes to mind with the royal mint is milk spots
@wildkatt77 They have Not solved the problem yet.
Rumor has it that they're using some new chemical applied to the coins to hinder "Milk spots, time will tell.

Mintshield.
@@wildkatt77 Yes, the Royal Canadian Mint uses Mintshield. The Royal Mint U.K. is a different operation.

I won't buy any coin with King Diddler's face on it.
It doesn't bother me - I have a Harbor Freight belt sander!
Thank you for showing us these Sal. I appreciate getting a sneak peak when the various mints send you products 👍
Anything is better than American eagle.
Gold Sovereigns featured as plot device in From Russia With Love.
Just today received 9pcs of 1oz Britannia Silver coins. This allowed us to fill up a tube and brings our erstwhile silver stack to 70 ounces. Not bad having started in January.
I'd prefer the Dragon, horse and St. George slurping a good ale using HRH as a coffee table.
The ale is fine for the Dragon and Horse - but for goodness' sakes man - at least offer St. George a single-malt Islay Scotch!
@stephenmacintosh9185 getting thirsty for a good IPA
I love the queen, but you couldn't pay me to buy anything with Charles on it!!!🙂↔️🤢🤮
I think the new King George and dragon coins look wonderful.
fantastic design for sure!!
Thanks for sharing it! The reverse is definitely a striking design! I love the pattern of St. George on all the Sovereign designs - but I will likely wait until I find this new coin on the secondary market - as I recently busted my modest PM budget with another Costco offering. Now I have all my attention concentrated on several Byzantine Solidii and a Hyperpyron in a local online auction. It sucks to have to work for every dollar!
I really like the Britannia, it's my 3rd favorite stacking coin... just be careful with milk spotting and make sure you have a good dehumidifier in your safe, that's what I learned I'm glad to see their switching things up and doing good stuff
Gorgeous coin, I agree Sal, the Royal sets the standard in coin design and execution.
WOW, that is NICE. I think the background are trees in a forest. Nice one Sal you are making me need one.
They should have made it a 2oz silver coin like the queens and Tudor beast along with a 10oz rather than a 1o and kilo.
Sweet addition to the royal mint by Judy Clark . Will add to the collection with this first of many
Some don't appreciate the collectability and history of coins.
How about one with Britania on one side and St George on the other ? Like the native and buffalo USA coin . Would more accepted with out the king i think by more people .
That would be awesome!!
@@SalivateMetal i know right , please pass it on . 😁
Love to see your coins and talking about the history and giving some background information about todays market👍🏼
I love Royal Mint products looking forward to buying them😊
I am pleased that the Royal Mint has sent you this coin. I have just ordered mine after seeing your video. Your 1925 Sovereign is interesting, Winston Churchill, then Chancellor reintroduced the Gold Standard to the UK on this date and your coin is therefore a coin with an historic date as well a good looking specimen.
Hi Sal, Thanks for the vlog! Those security features are very cool! I hope they figured out the milk spotting issue.
I am responding to your comment verbally on a live stream at this very moment!
Fun fact, there's a 'St. George the Victorious' silver coin that was minted in Russia begining in 2009 and last minted in 2022. Good looking coin that has George slaying the dragon on one side and the two headed eagle on the other.
Yah, but the dragon is tiny...like a lizard 😂
@@SkywalkerPMs But, no King Chuck on one side. 🤷😅
Regarding 7:28, on the Royal Mint gold sovereigns, there have been three different depictions of Saint George Slaying the Dragon. The first depiction was from 1817 Benedetto Pistricucci's neoclassical design of Saint George wearing a helmet, cape and caligae as he rides his stallion over the defeated dragon. The second depiction was from 2005 Timothy Noad's design of Saint George with helmet, shield & sword slashing at the dragon. The third depiction was from 2012 Paul Day's design of Saint George wearing medieval armor, riding his horse and plunging his lance through the jaws of the dragon. The name of Saint George's lance is "Ascalon". The name of Saint George's horse is "Bayard".
Thank you sir 🙏
Yess I want them Why cant the US mint something as good
They'll do a one-time only, limited mintage. And then, another run of the same coin in a few months. 😅
Love the older Sovereigns. That's where I started collecting gold coins, back in 1994

@SalivateMetal great gold coin porn...As I stare down the Barbados Trident...On my list. Gibraltar proof blue lions aquired...looking at it now. I'm just lucky to hold at the moment In 900 years it will look much nicer than me. Keep doing what you do, brother.

A princely sum. 😳

Funnily enough I saw that new design in gold on an Instagram post. What was strange was that it was a Russian channel.
They done a great job on the design & no doubt I'll be getting a few myself. Not too many silvers though, as they still haven't resolved the milking issue.
Glad I'm not the only one to stuff up my lines, as you called King Charles "King George" at 2:13.
If the Royal Mint had the RCMs Mint shield wash/rinse, the Britannia would be my favorite silver bullion coin. They definitely have one of the best security features....milk spots included 😂
@@silverpatriotLoveGodLoveMan great point!

Good morning, Sal!
Always a fan of the Royal Mint products thanks sal
Thank you sir
I remember this design was a birthdays edition or yearly edition, definitely picking one of these up
Sooooo jealous!!!! Can’t wait to get my hands on the new coins
Really cool coins Sal...
I like them and wouldn't mind owning a few! None of my britannia's or older maples have milk spots. Thanks Sal. 👍
Should be doing something nice about the US Mint I digress
They are really nice coins and the designs are very nice and the prices are probably very good
Thanks Sal...sovereigns are a great way to stack fractional gold...SLURP on Bro 😎
Great looking coin. You did a great job of displying the coins in video. Much better than the RM pre-release photographs.
Unfortunately they will probably milk spot terribly and the RM will do nothing claiming that these are 'just' bullion so pack sand.
I will definitely be a stacker in the future but not today...
Thank you so much
Very nice coins. Thanks for

Very informative Sal. Could they send me a couple too. LOL
The Royal Mint once again savagely mogging the US mint.
I wish the US mint would make a 75th Anniversary coin to commemorate the creation of NATO, I’m very disappointed they forgot
Thanks Sal, Ill have to get one of these. TeddyBess , Chuckys head is on the obverse not the reverse.
They will inevitably be littered with milkspots. The Royal Mint is NOT to be ranked above The RCM.
Odd as it is, none of my britannia's have milk spots, but neither do any of my older maples. The only milk spot I have is on a 2010 PCGS PR70 ASE.
What, the missing reed on the eagle is genius😂🤦♂️
No way the Britannia is the standard lol
I like the reverse for sure. It's almost worthwhile except for the obverse. I don't own a single coin with King Charles III on it, and i don't plan on it.
Which means i don't buy type 2 ASEs, or King Charles III coins.
BACKDATES are by bag. Yeahhhh... 😎
These look amazing for sure. I have one concern though, in that the Royal Mint shockingly cancelled the Queen’s Beasts series without “completing” the set, leaving many collectors quite upset. They have announced a series of coins for this, would they do the same again?
They never cancelled the queens beast series your thinking of the monarchs series
The queens beast series was completed in 2021
Yea you are right, I’m sorry about about that. Thank you for the correction. I knew it was something that they had cancelled.
With the market up today I have gotten the tax and premiums back now broke even.
Nicely done! At least for silver...But I think the Britannia is more iconic for standard gold bullion.
Will they still be making the ordinary sovereigns as well? ( As long as they are still available in large amounts, I just ask from curiosity...). But, ending the sovereign, would be a rather radical move in the UK, I assume..
Good info
I wouldn’t mind getting some free gold and silver too! 😮
I harbour grave concerns about the WEF King. Many fail to realise that the Dragon is none other than KCIII. His fate may well be more gruesome than that of KCI and KCII. The Royal Mint ought to adorn the obverse with serpents and dragons! I believe the UK, CANZUK nations, and the Commonwealth will soon need to embrace a different monarch, possibly a wholly different royal family, perhaps reverting to the rightful line of the Plantagenets. We must urgently contact Simon Hastings in Australia. I greatly admired his father, Michael Hastings; he was a remarkably down-to-earth gentleman. His entire family is admirable. 🇬🇧🇦🇺🇨🇦🇳🇿
A thought: It’s not actually a dragon. Dragons have got wings. ‘Dragons’ without wings are known as Wyrms. (pronounced worm). St. George and the Worm….. 😄
If the silver oz can stay cheaper than an Eagle. As the Britannia has. I'm in for a tube.
I don't like big girls on coins lol
I think you scratched the King’s face @8:22!
Very nice coin. I like the silver better myself. Wonder what they will cost here. Surely one of the major bullion companies will strike a deal. ??
Check out Hattons of London if you like the Royal Mint.
😂Sunbeams,, The Bear is still alive!
We need a newly designed Brittania.
George isn't a very pretty man on this coin. Jody drew an ugly Una as well, on what was otherwise a nicely conceived design, what's up with that? As for this image, apart from the boil above the shoulders, yes very dynamic, nicely done and I like how the patterning in the field, gives the feeling that the action is occurring in a forest.
That's really nice looking Mister SM
Royal Mint = Milk Spot Factory = Worth Melt and not a penny more... :)
Second best security feature after Spain. USA coins most counterfeited coins in the world and they refuse to add better security features (for an obvious reason). I’d rather trust a milk spotted coin over anything “produced in the USA”. When was the last time you saw fake Britannias? 🤣😂🤣
Is that a milk spot beginning to form near Charles’s head?
Says .999 you got jipped
Nice looking coin. But I would rather have an original one. 👍

Hi sal morning #112🎉
Is it just me, or is that dragon rather weird? Dragons are normally depicted with four legs and a pair of wings. This dragon only has rear legs and no wings. Standing upright it would look ridiculous. I won't be buying this coin.
