    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
David Banner (Nick Nolte) experiments on himself after seeing what his son became.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
Ang Lee directs the live-action feature film The Hulk, based on the Marvel comic book created by Stan Lee and illustrated by Jack Kirby. Emotionally stunted Dr. Bruce Banner (Eric Bana) is part of a research team at the University of California at Berkeley. Corporate hustler Glenn Talbot (Josh Lucas) takes notice of the lab and makes plans to take it over. Then Bruce accidentally gets hit by an experimental ray and grows into a huge beast, destroying the lab in the process. A creepy janitor who claims to be his real father, Dr. David Banner (Nick Nolte), starts to secretly use the experimental ray on himself. He creates some mutant dogs and sends them after Bruce's lab mate and ex-girlfriend Betty Ross (Jennifer Connelly). After Bruce saves her life in the form of the Hulk, she lets her distant father, General Ross (Sam Elliott), take him to an abandoned army base in the desert. However, Glenn Talbot takes over the operation and wants to patent the creature's superpowers for his own profit, so he holds Bruce unconscious in an isolation tank. When provoked, Bruce turns into the Hulk and makes a break for San Francisco, leading to a desert chase sequence involving military aircraft, tanks, and bombs. Only the sight of Betty can make him turn back to his human form. When he is eventually captured, Dr. David Banner shows up for a final confrontation with his son and his old adversary, General Ross.

@@stolenname94 Bruh what? CGI was amazing throughout the entire movie. Or was the CGI bad because Hulk's green skin was "too green". For a movie made in 2003, the CGI still holds up amazingly well even if sometimes you can tell it's dated. At times, it looks more real than the 2008 movie too. And for reference on where CGI was at in 2003, just a year before Spiderman was released. You can not tell me with a straight face that the scene where Peter runs across the rooftops doesn't look awful, especially when Peter actually looks at the camera during one jump. The fact they even got the Hulk to look as good as he did in this movie was a miracle

A very subtle yet well executed thing I love about this scene (other than the VFX, of course) is how after David throws the guy closer to him so he can kill him, he actually does it almost immediately afterward. No long pause, no bullshit monologue, he just kills him within a second as soon as he’s close enough to show how cold and ruthless he’s become which is incredibly realistic given that the guy didn’t even have time to unholster his gun once he was on the ground. The tone and things that happened in this scene disturbed me when I first saw it as a kid because of the almost horror feel it has and even now, it’s still quite unsettling. Overall, I do have a lot of mixed feelings about this film as most people seem to but there are some things in it that are genuinely well done, this scene in particular.

I totally agree. Ang Lee really tried to make a very entertaining comic book movie and I think his Incredible Hulk film gets over looked quite a bit. My favorite aspect of the movie is how he depicted the Hulk’s rage. The angrier the Hulk became the larger he grew. I love how his Hulk was a massive beast of a man. That’s something that’s been sorely and sadly lacking in the Marvel films when it comes to the Hulk.

The CGI of this movie is so well done I think because they had to spend so much more time making it with the older tech that they thought a lot more about the lighting, color, and physics than they do with movies now. Making CGI for a movie now is like playing a video game compared to back in the day, and so many parts of the movie are given the "fix it in post" treatment, whereas I believe these scenes were more methodically planned out to cater to the CGI. Amazingly well done.
