- Well this got out of hand quickly - I decided to get some 'quick' video for my Lancer Ralliart which I've decided to sell, and here we are. A half an hour of me driving the car and some wasted editing time later. Guess that's this week's video guys!

This video was pretty low effort, but being that it's a more cool/hip/popular topic for the young kids on CZcams, I figured I'd do better than what it has. Especially with my clickbait thumbnail. Kinda suprised 😂
I almost bought the raliart but couldn't figure out why it wasn't offered with a manual transmission. Ended up buying a manual GT model which has been a great car, just lacking power. But that's why I ended up getting an evo 5 as the fun car on the side 😁
Nice! Yeah, had they offered the Ralliart with a manual transmission, it would have sold much better and competed with the WRX as Mitsubishi intended it to. Instead, if fell into oblivion and nobody bought them.
I wanted to convert this one to manual, but quickly realized it was quite a bit more than I wanted to take on.
Why buy a Ferrari or a Lambo when you can basically have the same thing for a fraction of the cost! This car won’t last long at that price!
About 14 or 15 years ago, Top Gear raced an Evo 8 against a Lamborghini Murciellago and won from what I remember.
So you're basically correct, yes.
(See, what we are trying to do here is cue the Evo X haters, and a bunch of comments calling Retrograde the typical dipsht Ralliart owner who thinks their car is an Evo. Whatever means necessary to get more comments....).
Ive seen the ralliart beating the sti and wrx base model all ovver youtube but this is even faster now

In all seriousness you're correct - after owning this car, some of the numbers and times being put down by other Ralliart owners, as well as what they've taken down on the track is pretty nuts for what they cost comparatively.

@@UltraGraal I eventually sold the car after buying the RX8 I referred to in the video (crazy, I know). My plan was to get a tune on it at some point, after I figured out what else I wanted to put into the car. The PO claimed he had a Chag Tune on it, but may have been full of it. My plan was to go with a Rickerman tune, which is the way most of the Ralliart and Evo MR owners seem to go.
@retro_grade I just got my ralliart it has aem high flow intake, turbosmart recirc valve and a evo wing on it rn, I'm bout to get wheels , tein coilovers, and a borla catback this weekend, I plan to get a high flow catpipe and then maybe get a tune
@@UltraGraal Nice! If you haven't joined it yet, look up 'Ralliart Revoluation' on Facebook. Alot of owners who have had them a long time and a pretty good deal of knowledge and involvement on there, shops included even. These cars seem to be very particular with who tunes them and works on them, more than most makes and models. But, the good part is there's a huge base of knowedge out there and alot of experience from previous owners and shops who have been working on them since they were new.
Heck, even the tuning and data logging software is dirt cheap. (ECUTune, Evoscan, MMCodingWriter, TCU Mod V3).
Hopefully your SST is still in good shape and kicking along! Get the TCU mod that allows you to put it into S-Sport if that hasn't already been done. These cars prefer being driven in that mode once warmed up.

But Automatic is much faster! 0-60 times man! Who wants to have to bother using a clutch and changing gears, it's 2024 get with the program!
