Thanks, Kell! Fun fact: Jose Rizal's ancestors from his father's lineage are from Fujian, China. His mother also has Chinese background.
Kell visit pma school in Baguio
flying kell, additional info about Jose P. Rizal. first and foremost, he is our national hero. he took up ophthalmology because when he was still a student at UST he noticed that his mother's eye vision was getting blurred. wrote 2 books, in Spanish, Noli Me Tangere & El Filibusteresmo that sparked the Philippine revolution against the colonizer spain (during his time Spanish was widely spoken in the country, pretty much like English today). because of his 2 books he was sentence to death, at the age of 35 yrs old, by firing squad in Luneta park where his monument is now erected. on the day, december 30,1896, he was shot at Luneta or sometimes called Rizal park; he told his executioner that he preferred to be shot facing, not at his back as he was not a traitor.
almost all revolutionary hero faught for independence with sword or gun. jose rizal was different because he faught the colonizer with his pen. hence the pen was mightier than the sword. hehehe
Thanks for the flag yesterday🇵🇭🙏
There are few battles here and there, Cavite is known for brave people , and this where I came from. Miss home so much.. its raining in the UK rn for weeks now lol
That giant flag and flagpole is the Kilometer Zero from which the distances on all the roads in the country are measured (as displayed on all the kilometer posts along the major roads and highways.

According to Nick Joaquin, the Dutch (Dutch East Indies) actually tried to conquer The Philippines for around 50 years but failed to do so because of both Spanish and Filipino resistance.
Mateo Cariño is pronounced "ka-RIN-yo." Ñ is pronounced with the N combined with a Y after it. That comes from Spanish orthography (spelling pattern).
Aguinaldo is pronounced with a silent U but it converts the G into a hard G sound unlike the J sound (soft G).
Thanks Kell, happy independence too! Please vlog the world’s largest dancing colourful fountain at Okada, please check the scheds from 6pm and then an hourly shows till midnight

That fountain is colorful at night and dances along with the music.
Kell is so energetic ,and Aimie is so gorgeous .
Not sure bout the Filipino-Dutch connection there, but the Indonesian flag has a direct connection. When Indonesia was getting rid of the colonials, they tore the blue stripe off the Dutch flag and that’s how the Indonesian flag was created.
Mabuhay Ka! Thanks for sharing this celebration online...very special for us, Filipinos, not there in the Philippines!
Such sweet and nice pair, and Aime is so beautiful! Maraming salamat po Kell at Aime for celebrating our special Independence Day. Happy Philippine Independence Day! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! God bless
Thank you and welcome to the philippines
That Kung Fu-esque jump though at 6:03.
Jose Rizal is famous around the world also. You can search his monuments around the world. I can’t remember where in Spain but there’s a monument of him out there similar to Rizal Park.
Thank u for loving our country...Godbless❤️
14:24 Fun fact: The Dutch traded with us Filipinos back during the Spanish colonial era. They placed an honorary consul here named G. van Polanen Petel and authorized underground trade (the Spaniards also did the same with Indonesia). Tho it wasn't really a huge thing. In fact the Dutch actually wanted to claim Manila but they were defeated by the Spaniards, it was also the time where the Netherlands was still under Spanish rule

Yes you got the gist of the Phil Independence Day, sir. Enjoy 🎉
Go to ocean park
6:03 Best shot ever, bro.
3:49 ang galing. 👏 👏 👏
The monument which is guarded by military men is the exact spot where Rizal was executed
I don’t know how you can handle the heat and humidity Kell. I’d be dying of heat stroke or dehydration
Jose Rizal is our national hero. Some still believe that Andres Bonifacio should be our national hero because he potrayed what a hero should be like. Bonifacio fought the spaniards by leading the Katipuneros and triggered the nationalistic side of everyone and fought using sword while Rizal fought using his brilliance by means of writing against the spaniard's cruelty.
Ps: dunno if these were all facts
Thank you for celebrating Independence Day 😀

I really love the voice texture of Amy it's kinda voice of former pres. Gloria Arroyo
Kell,We filipinos love you both.
Hey, Kell. The Americans did not actually fight the Spanish in the Philippines to liberate the Filipinos. The Katipuneros, the local revolutionaries, defeated the Spaniards before declaring independence in 1898. Spain refused to admit defeat to the Filipinos, and it surrendered its colonies, including Guam and Puerto Rico, to the U.S. after losing the Spanish-American War in Central America via the Treaty of Paris. The Spanish were no longer in control of the Philippines when the Americans came to the country by the end of the 19th century. The arrival of Americans triggered the Filipino-American War in 1899.
thank you for celebrating independence day with us
