This is the funniest and most playful CNY commercial this year. Though hard selling, it just does the job perfectly.

Really fun video (that's also a commercial, but the best kind). Also, regarding the "drink tea" part at the end, it seems that while "cha" won out in most of China, apparently Hokkien "teh" is where English indirectly got the word "tea". Also, while the Japanese word for tea is also "cha", its word for "drink" is 飲む (nomu), which has the same Chinese character (in traditional form) as Cantonese and Hokkien.

It's because 飲茶 is how it would be written in Cantonese or Hokkien, whereas Standard Chinese is written as 喝茶。 Has nothing to do with traditional or simplified, it's because 喝 and 飲 are two different characters.
@@VicAndRoll I know those are two different characters. But at 5:26 of this video, the subtitle says 饮茶, not 飲茶, and it is the difference between those characters that I was referring to when I said "in traditional form", not between 飲茶 and 喝茶.
@@Rationalific those are the same characters, writing it in simplify doesn't change its meaning. Like writing in cursive doesn't change the meaning, it just changed how it looks.

I work in advertising and at different times of the year, we'll watch certain countries for their outstanding work. Eg superbowl in USA, UK Christmas supermarket commercials and from my there's the usual tearjerks from Petronas. But jbtv has become a refreshing contender.
