    Thank you so much Niladri sir for shedding light on Backlog Health, how to calculate backlog health & how to draft a detailed mail after completing backlog grooming on a real time basis. Thank you so much for sharing the incredible practical information which you have practiced in your organisation as a scrum master. Big Thanks.

    Sometimes sessions are very descriptive , I believe it is not required. This was i think could be small and very specific about Backlog management. If session is very big then , it is difficult to digest :)

    Hello Niladri, Your videos are really good and I watch almost all videos that you upload. A suggestion - You can make a Video on "Scenario based Scrum Master/Agile Coach Interview Questions" . The clarity you have on Agile and Scrum will surely come out in practical real life scenario questions. Thankyou

    Thanks for nice informations. Do we have to keep grooming session during sprints? If yes then do we keep separate estimations for this sessions or need to adjust during sprints hours. You took sprint 200 hrs but actual estimations for user stories are 150 hrs. So these 50 hrs can be used for grooming session?

    • @AgileDigest
      @AgileDigest  Před 6 lety

      Hi Matteo Pacenti, Grooming matrix is not very popular or used in industry. you can use it to to track the team is capable to groom number of story points per hour to calculate how many hours of grooming required to meet the Backlog health as 100%.

    Do we need to groom all the user stories in a single grooming session or have a grooming session before each sprint ? How does this work ?

    • @AgileDigest
      @AgileDigest  Před 6 lety

      Groom the number of stories you can within the planned meeting time 1 Hr , 2 Hour etc. Schedule grooming once a week or twice a week to have groomed story ready in Backlog, Don't wait for the next sprint planning.

    When should we do Product Backlog Grooming / Backlog Refinement ? Before sprintplaning for upcoing sprint or middle of the current sprint for next sprint preparation? In Scrum ceremony/event/artifacts there has Product Backlog Grooming / Backlog Refinement not mentioned clearly.

    • @AgileDigest

      Backlog grooming you can do any time. dont relate with your sprint. just focus on backlog health. so that when you will do sprint planning you will have ready stories

      Story point estimating should be done before sprint planning. The whole point of grooming is understand what the 'ask' is, get answers to questions from product owner, then size the story based on complexity.

      @@batalanina I still want to hear from the trainer/ speaker in this vedio. My answer is SP are given by the individual team member based on his own best judgement .. it is not an exact science... just a guestimate based on past experience..Very objective is to get it out from team together on the same page...

    • @AgileDigest
      @AgileDigest  Před 4 lety

      please watch couple of other video like sprint Planning and planning poker, I think that will clarify few doubts. Story Point estimation should be come from only team members, during refinement of that story. you can refine a user story during backlog refinement session or sprint Planning. I have mentioned why we should prefer to refine the story much before than sprint Planning

    how come 112/5 has come no explanation about it..kindly explain

    • @AgileDigest
      @AgileDigest  Před 5 lety

      That is grooming capability the team can do average. Total number of Story points groomed in 6 hours is 112 SP, so Per hour the team can groom approx 22.5. This number you can use to calculate approx time you need to reach to your 100% backlog health.

    • @AgileDigest
      @AgileDigest  Před 4 lety

      No, lets understand it in a different way. When we eat, dinner or lunch or breakfast we take the amount of food that we can eat in one go, but when we go dor grocery shopping we dont buy only how much we can eat in one go, instead we buy for few upcoming meals. Similarly when we groom we dont groom for one upcoming sprint, instead we groom for few upcoming sprint. You can refer backlog health are to understand why it is important.

    • @AgileDigest
      @AgileDigest  Před 5 lety +1

      Not sure what exactly you mean by manage, Its Team backlog, where team member can create product backlog item, Product Owner owns the Acceptance criteria primarily, and most of the time provide business functionality as user story description. Most cases the product Owner takes the responsibility to enhance user story there. The team collaboratively refine them. Product Owner prioritize them.
