We spent 1.5 lakh in 2018 to install solar panels on our rooftop, and since that in 6 years, through saving electricity bills, we have definitely made that investment back, idk exactly how much we have saved, but yes, it's profitable in the long run

Taking too much loan is not financially sustainable, as we will have to pay too much in the form of intrest. US have an advantage of strong dollar, softpower and superpower image, they takes loan at very low intrest rate which is not possible in our case as of now.
