- Today we take a look at the Goovis G3 Max. A HMD that features a 120hz refresh rate and two 2k screens that from the surface seems to be better than the Apple Vision Pro. We take a look at the advertising and see how good it is. How accurate the screen and how usable it is when flying drones.

i want one maybe 2 for watching movies on as you can watch in 3D yet cant seem to find the head sets any where.. wtf.
Does it support HDMI-in and power over USB-C from my iphone 15 pro like my XReal airs? Literally everyone asks this in every FAQ and they never answer, so I think it's a no. Since I got the vision pros and there is no way to disable the headtracking (motion blur on text issues), I have been looking for just a USB-C HMD like this but nobody can tell me if you can just plug the USB-C into your phone without their dongle thing.

To me it sounds a lot like the general flaws of VR as it currently stands along side being one made for phones not for VR gaming.

I have a quest 2 looking for something with a better screen resolution just to enjoy a big screen to watch movies. I was looking into this headset but honestly i think it really expensive for what it offer in my opinion.

Goovis' advertising deliberately focuses on the advantages of the G3, namely the direct connection of Blu-ray players and thus the viewing of e.g. 3D videos from a Blu-ray disc. To do this, the video processor in the glasses must support Full HD 3D frame packing. The G3 can do that. That's what she was made for.
Hi, nice to see honest review. I have bought this headset after great reviews on net. But it found this headset very unsatisfactory. With so many problems. Headset display is not clear enough, really bad refelections in lens. FOV dont seems 65*. Actually my Xreal Air looks better and crisp sharp then this. Which has 1920*1080 resolution per eye. And even much compact and lighter. In 3D mode display is only 2560x1440 where it should be 2x2560*1440 (ie 5120x1440). Xreal also in 3D mode has resolution of 3840x1080. So 3D image is worse than Xreal. Major issue is its supplied media player D4. With this media player Black looks grey, like its using LCD player. Later I found that If I replace supplied HDMI adapter with other 3rd party adapter then black level becomes OK. So at 3 times price of Air its worse quality than that. They are advertizing it has 6axis IMU. But dont have any means of using it.
