- I’ve always loved eating ferns (known as pako in the Philippines). Growing up in General Santos City, this type of plant is plentiful and I’m sure in a lot of other provinces in the country too. It grows on the mountain parts and riversides.

A word of caution though, not all ferns are edible. So if you are foraging ferns as food, make sure to check on resources online so you are aware of which ferns to eat and NOT to eat. I love your fern salad. I will try that variation definitely. I'm used to eating it with fresh thick coconut cream with lemons and onions and chillies. We usually add a can of tuna or fresh flaked fish. But your salad is definitely going to be on our next Sunday lunch menu.

Hi! Your fern salad is for sure tasty..but for video's sake "appearance" can you use a good or presentable hygeinic chopping board? There are lots good chopping board in the market..
That is in fact a very hygienic chopping board. Scrubbed and oiled for maintenance. Simply because it has some dark spots in the video doesn't mean it's not clean. You know how wood gets darker when there's moisture/water right? 🙂
