Veronica doesn’t deserve the inheritance because of how selfish and ungrateful she is. The fact that she said, “I cannot wait for the day where you finally disappear forever,” is enough for anyone to say she doesn’t deserve anything in life.

This is actually based on a true story. You know, my parents and I haven't always agreed on things. But I would never wish them dead.

I would give up everything except my experience that I gained if I can have my parents back. I didn’t realize what I had until they were taken from me. I wish I could beg them for forgiveness for everything I put them through, anytime I see privileged entitled brats getting everything they want from mommy and daddy, all I can think is: “what are you gonna do when your mommy and daddy aren’t there anymore to give you every little thing you want? You are a pathetic little child in a grown up’s body. I don’t wish for your parents to die, but I do wish for you to face the reality before the blow is more painful than mine was… (maybe depending on how rotten the person is, I want their blow to be worse… but for their parents to cut the off instead of passing away like mine did)

I commend the mother for not caving in. Her daughter is an adult, it’s time she take responsibility for her life, get a job and support herself. Her mother does not owe her anything.
How is disrespectful can you get . The way Veronica spoke to her Mother so uncall for and to she could wait for the day her was round anymore . That was total disgraceful to say to mom . *This judgement (though all the three are actors) brought forth an amazing fact that, sometimes judges must be sensitive to the situations, instead of following the laws literally, of course addressing the whole issue under what laws in general aim at telling.This is the right judgment, to teach the daughter a lesson*

I did live with my mom until I got married at 36, but I fought so hard to get an education and even a basic job to pay my share of the bills. I really was fighting at age 21 to earn money so I could help my mom and not lose our home. Mom didn't want me to move out, and the true reason I didn't was because neither of us wanted to be alone. On of the reasons I wouldn't even date until my 30's is because I didn't want to have anybody until she could be loved and not feel lonely anymore. We were a team and still are one. Now we are both happily and lovingly married. Neither of us are "rich", but we make ends meet and fought hard for all we've got. We only live two blocks from each other and see each other regularly. Don't worry, she's no Marie Barone from "Everybody Loves Raymond". If "that" woman was in my life, I'd be changing my name and moving to Australia! LOL
She is a healthy 27 year old woman, lives with her mother and contributes nothing to that household. The parents should have taught her much earlier in life about self-reliance and responsibility. She has absolutely no idea of how the real world works. If you are not willing to put forth the effort and work you will never achieve anything. Relying on your mother to provide for you at 27 years old is beyond ridiculous. Kudos to the judge for seeing right through her delusion.
Veronica needs to learn the value of hard work instead of expecting everything to be handed to her on a silver platter. I'm glad her mother put her foot down, Veronica was too spoiled, lazy and telling her own mother she couldn't wait for her to pass on was extremely rude.
There is no law requiring parents to keep their kids when they hit 21. They can legally hit kicked out by their parents.
The earliest they can make them move out is actually 18.
Adult sons and daughters may not be able to afford to live elsewhere. They come back to their folks, work and in some cases are caregivers.@@ChrisSportsfan

If I wanted to I'd take my parents to court and demand for me to be my own payee and be more responsible for myself because I'm 35 not 4 and I don't need her and him to stop treating me like a child because I want to pay for everything myself like a real adult without their help and at least get married and have a family that will accept me as a stepmother. I want to act like an adult not a child because I want to grow up and stop being treated like a weed and expand my wings and fly away from the toxic people and I deserve respect and a future to make my own decisions and learn how to make choices for myself and have a family that I can take care of as someone to love me

I was raised up by a single parent. There was hard times and good times. But we endure through everything. Me taking my mom to court was not a thing would do.
I would’ve loved to have seen how either the daughter fails miserably instantly after being forced out or struggling to find her own way hopefully with any luck

Losing a a job is tough because you have priority bills you need to take care of and food to provide and if anyone in the family also has health issues or passed away at the same time it’s hard. I feel bad for the daughter because she misses her dad and also the mom since she’s laid off.

Maybe the daughter might be happy at first if something were to happen to her mom. But later on she will most likely realize that she will have to live to regret it forever with a whole lot of remorse if her mom were to die the next day after she won the court jurisdiction against her daughter.

I noticed that nobody mentioned what was in the will on who gets what. Where I live in Canada, all inheritance usually goes to the living spouse unless stated otherwise in the will. If no living spouse, then the inheritance is divided as stated in the will.

Exactly but it should also be nipped in the bud long before they're adults because you need to teach them they can't have everything they want all the time and that if they want it that bad, they need to work for the money in order to get it. For example if they're really young then they can always just set up a lemonade stand and sell lemonade in order to earn that money or just mow people's lawns or shovel snow so that they can earn money to get it. But yes if they're older you should simply tell them to get a job so they can get it themselves.
