I had the opportunity to meet Jon in Tampa on the Big Generator tour. He was so very kind and such a gentleman. It’s a beautiful memory that I cherish. I remember Trevor and the band were feeling a bit sick from some bug they caught and they waved at us from this room they were all in before the performance. Jon still met with us and I remember feeling so grateful because he and the band didn’t meet with the press, local radio personalities or others gathered backstage before the show. He had this really cool tent set up he was using a dressing room. What a wonderful memory. Thank you Jon! I love your voice. ❤️
I've always loved Steve's music but this is the band which should have the "Yes" label! That guitar player nailed Steve's expert guitar playing, proving you can have the authentic Yes sound without Steve Howe but not without Jon Anderson!
Jon Anderson is YES. His backing bands have always been stellar, and this band is no exception. From the 1st time I heard YES (1969) til now, when you hear his voice . . . it's YES. Sorry, but his voice (and contributions) are irreplaceable.
I’ve made comments about Steve’s band on other posts and caught a lot of flak for it from those fans who really like them and feel that they represent what is truly YES and they’re most certainly entitled to their opinion. But one listen to this band and especially Jon even though it’s recorded on someone’s phone, leads me to feel that Jon and the Geeks should be the torchbearers for the name YES imho.
I think I've seen five of these videos at this point and the difference is night and day between this and that other cover band out there that has a name they don't deserve. I'd be much happier about it if they would call it Steve Howe presents the music of Yes. Given that there's more than one classic band out there performing with no original members and in some cases people that were never in the band until it was formed to do the tour I think we can look forward to knowing that someone is going to own this name eventually and put musicians out there whether they are worthy of carrying that banner or not. With that other band, well at least you get to see Steve Howe play guitar
Who filmed this? Stop! You ignored the guitar solo. I just wanted to see the guitar, but you kept filming Anderson. This reminds me of 1960’s concert footage when cameramen didn’t understand the music. Fail!
Jon has never sounded better! What a strong, strong band!
Excellent show! Very glad I went. Jon is in excellent form and the Band/Geeks are amazing!
what was the setlist of this show?
So much of my youth is in that song absolutely awesome
Sounds more "Yes" than Yes do.

If you poke around on CZcams you can find Jon talking about his tent. Apparently he used it on more than one tour

I've spent a lot of money on heavy sweaters since i found yes 25 yrs ago. Can't listen without wearing one

We could say Steve Howe and his band, Jon has got the spirit of Yes in his adn. Steve always rejected to do a final tour with Jon .
Wait till I upload starship trooper. Difficult song to play
I can’t wait!
owesome
Hi Joe, great quality! Do you have the whole show? I was there with my daughter. Major Yes fan for almost 50 years. Thank you.
Not the entire show, most
@@zielijo1Looking forward to seeing the rest.
Band of geeks?
