Blackbeard being a member of the "Buccaneer Race" could fit the theme of One Piece in regards to "Inherited Will". Oda designed everything about Blackbeard from personality, creed, beliefs, actions, and motivations to be a twisted mirror to Luffy. A Shadowy Final boss who "liberates" the world of order and peace in favor of chaos while Sun God Nika "liberates" the oppressed and despairing of the corrupt in favor of happiness and laughter. Luffy embodies "Inherited Will". Blackbeard may be the embodiment of "Inherited Grudges/Hatred" by inheriting the grievances of his race.
When Oda first revealed the Buccaneer race, I was fully expecting to be bombarded by "Blackbeard is a Buccaneer" theories and I've been really surprised at how few people are talking about it. I also wonder how much Blackbeard knows about Bonnie's lineage since they collided so soon after she arrived in the New World. I feel like Oda was setting something up with that initial meeting that will probably pay off soon since they're both playing a big role in the present story.

Honestly, especially considering him and Kuma are literally the same character design with different clothing and expressions 😅. Everyone was on this Whitebeard show thing and I think if you know about the real Bucaneer story, it’s gotta be Black beard and why he has 2 fruits.
I don't see it. Kuma is 21 ft atleast and WB is around 20ft while BB is so much smaller than them at 11 ft. And we saw BB as a kid, his size isn't abnormal at all. And everything we know about BB is nothing similar with Kuma.

I always thought that the different races, tribes, and other groups of people in the world of One Piece might have a significant connection in the 100-year Void. Interestingly, every arc after the time-skip introduced us to many races.
*Fish-Man Island - Merfolks, Fish-Men (Fighting Fish-Men are also included)
*Punk Hazard - *Well, this arc could just be a foreshadowing to races particularly the Lunarians and Giants*
*Dressrosa and Green Bit - Tontatta Tribe and the role of Donquixote Family 800-years ago.
*Zou - We were introduced to the Mink Tribe and Zunesha
*Whole Cake Island - A lot of races were shown and Big Mom's backstory hinted us yet again about the Giants
*Wano - Kozukis, Amatsuki Toki (Maiden Name. Also her last name was one of the 6-Families to inherit the position of Shogun), and Lunarians
*Egghead - Buccaneers and, the Nefertaris and Neronas... I suppose.
Oda should filled us in with some Giant lores once the Straw Hats got to Elbaf.
Isn't it crazy how the first mythical race we actually see other than humans that make our protagonists actually SHOOK were giants? Giants are definitely and have always been end game important.

I don't know how that ever became a theory. The same chapter we were introduced to buccaneers we also got it confirmed that Kuma is the absolute last one.

I have been thinking a lot about how Luffy died on the rooftop and then awakened his devil fruit, and how Kuma's body died when Saturn hit the self-destruct but that's also when he "awakened" and was able to move freely. Maybe thier special power is indeed willpower that can transcend death.
Also Roger telling Rayleigh "I'm not gonna die partner"
Roger's will is what has been carrying the entire story of One Piece. Roger's Will created the right environment for the inheritor of Joyboy's Will to rise and thrive. All these chain of events from the moment Roger died was his Will pushing forward this tale.
@@ReiseLukasexcept that Roger really seems to be acting under inherited will himself. He finds Laugh Tale and THEN sets out to start the great pirate era. He is interested in adventure before, sure. But his search for the end of the world is a personal search. It's not until he reaches that end of the world that he decides to push his will out into the world
There is a bit of metaphor in that: Roger, at the end of the world, decides to set off a great clamor for freedom against the tyranny.
That freedom isn't always a positive for the world, only that it resists being controlled. The "end of the world" is just a catalyst for change and not a true "end".
If that's the case, then perhaps Blackbeard can eat two Devil Fruits because his Buccaneer body lets him eat one extra Devil Fruit.

@@SmEiF- Well with smiley Ceaser pet we saw how when a fruit user died the fruit just spawns on any fruit close by which was further explained that the soul leaves the dead body and respawns in a fruit which is also how doffy got ace fruit. Soul and spirit/haki/willpower are the two subjects I wish Oda fleshed out more. SOUL POCUS

This what I been saying lately 😭. The pain tolerance, the yami having the double pain side effect, statements about Blackbeard having an abnormal body, seeing Blackbeard sustain and recover from damage someone like him should have no business tanking at first glance.
That would be surprising, but i dont think joy boy was the first buccaneer to reveal against the world government, i believe he was just an oversized human who fckd some giant warrior during G5 Giant transformation, and BOOM, buccaneers. Man he should had laughed a lot during that trip

Blackbeard being a Buccaneer makes a lot of sense when I’m thinking about it. He grew up alone, he had a lot of knowledge about devil fruits and has a lot of knowledge about the world government. I don’t think that there are another race. Big Mom confirmed it while she was talking to king. She said that she misses 3 races in her crew. Afterwards we got the Lunarians, the Buccaneers and the Giants and maybe the Onis.

pretty good video. what i enjoyed most about it next to the good theories is the fact that it didn't repeat itself one time. watch so many videos where they just keep repeating themself over and over again to hit the 10 minute mark if even and you just pull out a 21 min video like that. great work!
and i think you're on the right trail with the will thing. i think the buccaneers have the power to change the reality around them by willing it to be different (as seen with bonnie just increasing her arm size to punch saturn and maybe it's not kuma's will that made him come to bonnies aid but hers for her dad to come and protect her). the more of the buccaneers there are the stronger these changes manifest itself and the devil fruits possibly being concentrated droplets of that collective will from back then.
the next interesting thought is why seawater would rob devil fruit users from their powers. are the buccaneers known to be bad land bound swimmers that will just drown because of their heavy and dense bodies? so that deep rooted fear of the ocean was mixed into their wishes to have superhuman abilities?
But Bonnie doesn't share his blood....+ I believe the arm thing was explained as part of her DF

@@folonrng he refused to marry ginny because he was afraid that their child and rest of family would go through the same as his family did. Then ginny was kidnapped and returned with a baby. Not exactly sure about timeline but believe it was more then 9 months. I think it was years... So you can imagine what they did to her in holy land...

It seems obvious now that the great power Vegapunk was talking about is Willpower, it isn't Luffy becoming Nika that wakes up the Ancient Robot, it's the shear power created from his Willpower. Awakenings are connected to will power, Haki is Willpower and so could the buccaneers maybe be able to manifest there willpower in other ways, or tap into the energy created by willpower better then others. I also think there is a aspect of belief involved as well, partially due to what Saturn said to Bonnie and the obvious effect her outlook and beliefs have had on her powers but also not only have the world government obviously been suppressing information about Nika and Joyboy but also made a point to try and convince everyone that the Mythical Zoan Model Nika was in fact the Rubber fruit, so much that Luffy believed it and so it kinda was. This might also explain why he has soooooooo much trouble tapping into it's higher forms, we don't really see any other Zoans getting exhausted from there transformations and it kinda made sense with the other Gears but it shouldn't still be happening right, it's just a Zoan Transformation so why the drastic effect on Luffy, because the transformation isn't him using the fruits true power but is a manifestation of his will to become stronger. No one has told him that his Devil Fruit is the Nika Fruit as far as I know, I doubt he even knows he is a Zoan User at this point, which is why Saturn wants to keep Bonnie from Luffy, I think we will see another "power up" when he learns what she and and Giants know.

Blackbeard is also half Buccaneer, Buccaneers trait is they have especially large torsos, the same way some races have especially large arms or extra eyes. Kuma and Blackbeard have 3 sets of internal organs. so 3 hearts and 3 stomachs. so they can eat 3 devil fruits, and they both have 3 souls.

It probably wasnt well known because her parents were normal humans and is possible that the gene was dormant until she was born. That would explain why she was so big (being raised on elbaf for a while) and being so durable.

I think Blackbeards body is abnormal because he holds a brother or 2 inside of him. Oda doesn't put things in that have no meaning later, and super early on when Luffy and Blackbeard first met, both Luffy and Zoro agreed that Blackbeard was not one person.
dont forget in the last chapter Saturn refered to luffy as nika

Sorry to me it's immensily hinted at that WHITEBEARD was a Bucaneer. His body size was immense. His facial structure identical to Kuma. (even when he was a child)
His inconditional love for his adopted family as big as kuma had. and it was hinted that he also believed in Nika ("do you believe in god gurararara" izo and marco memories, before izo sacrified himself to help the strawhats).
I see zero Bucaneer blood in Blackbeard.. but maybe he also has the blood.. who knows.
There is a book from 1922 called "Blackbeard, Buccaneer"
