    I continue to have ‘hard shift’ issues on my 2015 900. I’ve tried the pressure release adjustment that you mentioned on another video. Only very slight improvement. You are the only person who has mentioned the HST shift link adjustment. I will proceed through your entire optimization protocol and see if I can solve the issue. Thanks!

    Awesome series! Seriously Kubota should pay you for selling RTVs for them.
    After going through your series and getting my RTV up to about 30mph with plenty of power to go up hills on our hunting club, 2 members have ordered one. They used to call me grandpa bc my machine lost so much speed & power so quickly. It was mostly stretched cables. It’s been “repaired” twice with no improvement. With some pliers and a few wrenches I was able to get all my original power back plus add more in about 45 minutes. Can’t thank you enough.

    Video solved my problem on X1140. RTV would not move forward or go in reverse. Discovered that the nut fell off the linage tie rod end. Many thanks!

      How about adding a tach? I would think that would be handy info to have, anytime the RTV's are running. Fuel injection line mounted tach? @@SearlesStation

    Great video series, Thanks! Wondering if you could guess at the issue I'm having with my 2018 X1140. New to me, has 720 hours, and seems in great condition. Only issue is: When I'm traveling down hills (even fairly shallow hills) as soon as the speed from gravity seems to overtake the hydrostatic effort, it loses power. The engine stays running strong, and I can even rev it up, but it's as though it's been shifted into neutral until the machine slows nearly to a stop. Then, it'll re-engage power. Happens very consistently. Spoke with a dealer that guessed the governor is engaging, but... from your video the governor you mentioned is just that set scew, so I don't see how that's the issue. Any idea?

    • @SearlesStation
      @SearlesStation  Před 2 měsíci

      I think there may be an issue with the hydraulic part of the transmission. It's an interesting issue because it really should build speed downhill with full throttle.
      There are some internal hydraulic valves, something may be stuck, broken, plugged in there.
      I wish I could drive it to see what's up.

    very informative videos. i just recently rebuilt my hydro trans. one of the pistons on the pump had worn through. got it all together now it tops out at about 7-8 mph. ive been told that the servo adjuster nuts need re-adjusting but they cant tell me how to adjust. is that something you could shed some light on?

    i have an older 1100 that we mainly blow snow with ( and it does a heck of a job at that). problem is the shift mechanism has never got better., is the new version any better.it seem to be a standard hydro static transmission by your video,

      czcams.com/video/q-C3KzQ6NwA/video.htmlsi=pmTGHKGA4xOeyeBe Check out this video. Make sure the linkage from your brake foot pedal is operating your relief valve.
      Also, I have a video of the inside of the vht and even with no gears inside the shift lever is difficult to move. Could be a design flaw

    I adjusted my linkage like you did here and now my rtv 1100 only goes 28 kph where before that it was going 38-40, could it be that the cable beside idler cable could posibly be streched?

    • @SearlesStation
      @SearlesStation  Před 4 měsíci

      You can adjust it with the wheels on the ground to just before they start moving. That's a bit more dangerous because it will move.
      It's surprising that it's that much different.

    I got a older model the 1140 and I’m having overheating issues cleaned the radiator flushed cooling system and refilled with 50/50 coolant thermostat and water pump is working good what could the problem be?

    • @SearlesStation
      @SearlesStation  Před 2 měsíci

      Most likely it's a cracked head or head gasket. You can pressure/compression test the cylinders to see if you can tell.

    • @xade7863
      @xade7863 Před 2 měsíci

      @@SearlesStationdon’t think that’s the issue and usually that’d be more rapid mine will only overheat if I am using it hard like driving it down the road in high and holding it for 15 minutes it’ll be near the red but if I sit at a stop sign for 2-5 minutes it’ll cool right down to straight up on the gauge but then in another 5-10 minutes it’s back hot. Had someone tell me to get a bigger radiator made to cool more water but if I fold up back 2 seats and leave a gap it won’t get over halfway on the gauge no matter how long I drive

    I just purchased a 2020 RTV-X1140 from an auction and im picking it up this week. The title read: "2020 KUBOTA RTV-X1140 UTV, VIN: A5KD2GDBCLG039343, METER READS 1,906 HOURS, KUBOTA DIESEL ENGINE, 4X4, HYDRAULIC DUMP BED, CREW CAB, CANOPY, WINDSHIELD (CRANKS & RUNS BUT WILL NOT TRAVEL UNDER ITS OWN POWER)"
    Someone recommended starting with changing all filters and fluids and checking the suction screen in the hydraulic tank to make sure it is clean. Make sure you use fluids from Kubota. Make sure your suction line is not kinked or is collapsing. I Just down loaded the WSM, but can you point me to where I will locate the Suction screen?

    Would low hydraulic oil cause it not to go forward and reverse? Is there a bleed valve for something after oil change?

    • @SearlesStation
      @SearlesStation  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Make sure it's full of fluid, jack up the rear end, start it up (in 2 wheel drive), put it in high and press the foot pedal and for a little bit. See if it starts turning the wheels with no load on the tires.
