I knew there was another reason I liked you! From a 30 year National Guard vet. Thank you and yours!
@StoneyRidgeFarmer I enjoy watching. I was raised running cattle, bailing hay, and all those awesome things us country folks enjoy. I am out in Northern NM where it's a dying way of living. You give me the that motivation to keep pushing and working to build a new farm. It's tough when it's not a handed down established farm and your starting from scratch but it's so fun isn't it? Great work!!!
We have an X1100C with a cab (gets cold here and we also use it for snow plowing). Great machine! We love ours. We bought it for all the same reasons you listed.
I love how the bed extends when you don’t need the seats, I used to sell The Mules they had the same feature loved em
The Kubota RTV also has a hydraulic hookup in the rear for running all kinds of farm implements. I haven't seen this on any other UTV's. Good job Stoney.
My grandfather was about to buy a Polaris. But he chose kubota. He did his research and went and got a used 2009 Kubota. He loves it. One day we were using it to clear the skating rink on the pond (bad idea) and my uncle drove it on by accident and sunk it! We took it out and it started. It’s been just fine other than the water freezing up the axles in the winter lol. Great machine. Handed the ruts, bumps, snow, and hills on our 70 acre property.
Wrap that Baby! Bota Power !
Thank you for your service for our big beautiful country we live in!
My favorite feature with the kubota RTV is the back seat/folding bed. That makes this machine very handy and versatile. Overall the Kubota looks good and should perform well on the farm.
I love your channel, I thought you carried your self like a veteran. I too am a vet and former law enforcement. You're doing everything I want to do in my place!
That Kubota utility vehicle is awesome, I hope you end up purchasing it! Kubota makes excellent equipment and is a great choice. Keep up the awesome videos Josh, woooo!
Drove a Kubota rtvx 1040 around on a 80 section mountainous land and it did phenomenal. Going up mountains in low and going slow can climb anything
I’ve got a diesel RTV. I have the extra hydraulics in the back. Love the machine. It lacks no power, does great on hills, always starts right up. It’s a little tank.
Wow thank you !!! I seen one on the showroom today and after watching this video I must have one ! Thanks bud for the great video
When you said you were 6'5", you had a new subscriber, I'm 6'4" and researching this vehicle. Thank you!
Great machine. Yes, vinyl wrap would be very cool.
It is already starting to be beautiful. Like the new sport utility vehicle nice. I see many hear good things about the Kubota good luck guys
Got one used the other day. Have aftermarket speaker stereo and it’s enclosed. Use it for work and hunting but it’s so fun to drive.
Sweet ride.
The dogs will love the long bed too.
Thank you Josh. This was great info. Happy Turkey day on the farm.
Awesome machine, I work for a Kubota dealer in England and they are really popular as well as the RTVX1110. Hope you get it 👍🏼 Kubota woooo!
Great video I live near Rocky Mount VA don’t let people put you down they are just jealous of the great farm you have established
Just picked up one of these bad boys for the farm
Loving it absolutely
After 5 months, are you still loving it? We have serious problems with the CVT and 4 wheel drive. Kubota will do nothing. It looks like nothing but glowing reports online but I posted numerous comments regarding these issues to warn would be buyers and most have been removed. I will never buy a Kubota product again.
i’m 20 now, i grew up driving the first gen when i was about 8-12 still one of the best lil tractors out on god
One of the best reviews i have ever seen. Good job . No excellent job !!!!!!!
Josh! That things wild! Diesal is a cool option too! Seems snappy! We got 18 acres of land on our homestead and this thing would be sweet through our woods to haul firewood! One day! Ill be making trails soon and hopefully ill make videos on it for my channel! Take care man!
Great video! I own an 1120 and I've been very happy with it. The only issue I have is it's a real pain to shift out of reverse if you stop on an incline, but you may have already discovered this. Also you may want to consider getting the ATV tread tires if you do end up purchasing it.
Almost bought the Kubota, but ended up with the Mule Pro FXT LE. Absolutely love it and have no regrets. Was going to go with the diesel Mule Pro DXT, but wanted a little more speed for trails and back roads.
The video turned out great, even without the drone. Enjoyed the trip today.
I've had 3 different APUs (generators) on my trucks which had little 2 cylinder Kubota engines in them. They are fantastic little engines. One had over 20,000 hours on it. The only thing I had to do to it was a water pump and rear main seal. Both were pretty simple fixes.
We have a 2004 Kubota RTV900 and the only problem we've had with it in people running it in high gear and it coming apart on the inside. We love ours
I really enjoyed this video. Of course I enjoy all of your videos!
We’ve had multiple Kubota RTVs on the farm and we’ve found that the amount of maintenance and oil/filter cost was just to much. Also, the top speed of 25 was to slow for the distance we travel. We switched to the Honda Pioneer 1000. Best all around machine for our farm. Kubota makes a nice machine though.
Yea if i where to buy one of these it would be ether the honda or the kubota we have a jd belt and its the biggest pile of crap ever!
We have both a Kubota rtv 900 and a Honda pioneer 500. The only problem we have is the transmission in the Kubota holds back all the power
@@benjaminbauer4883 kubota rtvs made where the tractors are build at same factory
Scott...How much was the yearly maintenance on a Kubota? Oil, hydrostat oil, air filters and all? A full service?
I just took delivery of mine this afternoon! Love It!
Diesel is the way to go. Torque for pulling and hauling is outstanding! Thanks for all the great reviews and info.
@oShane Kasper diesel fuel is the best SURVIVAL fuel long term storage, etc.
STAY AWAY FROM GAS TRANSPORTATION! Gas goes bad in only 8 months !
Great review of the machine. I am a technician for a kubota dealer in oklahoma, been there for almost 2 years and i went to a certification class on our 850 sidekicks. The one major thing we discussed and trained on fkr sidekicks is since they are built more for speed reaching 40mph you lose power when loaded. Now there is an adjustment that can done for that, say you want more pulling power when loaded and to climb hills better the hydrostat can be adjusted allowing you more torque and power but it will reduce your take off speed and vise versa more speed less power. This adjustment can also be done on your X1140 just take it to your dealer and ask to have it done i dont recommend customers doing it themselves as the adjustment is very touchy and you need a pressure gauge for the adjustments. Now one thing i cannot say for certain is that while the machine is still under warranty if they will allow that kind of adjustment to be made or not. It may void the warranty if any issue occurs after making such adjustment or it may depend on how lenient your dealer is. Hope this helps you or just gives you some more insight on how the hydrostatic drive works. Overall i stand by our equipment and a BIG portion of the quality of any machine in my opinion is how well its treated by customer and maintained. Keep up with your services and keep fresh clean fuel running through it and she will treat you well they are a workhorse and built to last. Keep up the good reviews and making great videos!
Spencer Haddock I’m in Oklahoma as well. Which dealership are you at? I am very interested in this machine.
These have been the most reliable side by side we have had at my work. They last us 4 years, the mule would only last about 2 years. I work on the railroad these units are used 24- 7, with little to no care on how they are driven or maintained. If I where in the market the Kubota would be the one I bought, although I would opt for the one with AC.
I rode around on an rtv 900 and it's so nice. The machine is super solid and the hydro drive is really torquey. It did great in the mud and I was able to get it out when I did finally get stuck in some really deep mud. It also had really strong engine braking because of the hydrostatic drive and I never had to use the brake pedal once. The one I rode in did great in everything except for top speed which doesn't really matter for the type of stuff I was doing in it and it was a pretty old one with over 5000 hours on it. The Diesel engine also started easily and ran great
That thing is sweet, if you wrap it do an orange camouflage wrap
yeah kubota's has orangecamouflage, green, bright orange and black colors
That’s one cool machine. We almost went with one of those here while back. We bought a Yamaha Side by side ranch edition. We really like it but I really like those Kabotas too. Anyway thanks for the video. Woooo👍👍👍❤️
my buddy has one of these and we beat the crap out of it every weekend. it takes it like a champ. only thing we've replaced was tires and a power steering pump
I have a 2017 RTV1100C on my 120 acre property up here in Upper Michigan and I love it. Checked out the Defender Can Am but hands down my Kubota wins out in every category except top end speed but that is not a consideration for me. You will love that RTV1140.
I have 4 of the 2 seaters and 2 of the 4 seaters. I totally agree with you, it is an AWSOME machine, wish they came out with an electric one.
This looks like a nice machine. We have a Polaris Ranger and we love it. Good luck
Hey Josh great review of the Kubota RTV, you mentioned the winch, mount it to a receiver tray, so you can use it on the back or the front...God Bless...Chief...{NYS/ADK}
I'm sure you're gonna get a lot of work out of that. Good video Josh!
Nice machine Josh thanks for video's buddy
Have to start from scratch to clear and build the soil is a huge and lengthy process. Hopefully it will only take 10 years. Great review
Nice review, thanks for the upload
Good work Josh... you make other channels wish they went into your level of detail.
Very nice tutorial of the Kubota.you are going to be really happy with the diesel brother... good choice.. i really love my Kubota equipment.
As far as a wrap... how about a military digital camo in Kubota orange with your stoney ridge logo on the center hood in black and on the rear quarter panels
Yeah I need one of these now!
That is cool and I thought I saw a PTO on the back of it. Dad just got a cub cadet UTV its nice but its not as good as that one. He went the other way because his is just a 2 seater with AC and heat a radio completely in closed. Doors and windows all around. It has a small winch on the front and the 4X4 will tar up a yard fast with the big mud tires. I wish he would have gone the same rout you did.
Nice, love Kubota equipment!
get it wrapped in camo. It is an option from Kubota. Great review
yeah kubota has orange, black, como, pink and red specially for fire departments wich kubotas donates there kubota rtvs to fire departments where they cant go through with big trucks wich kubota is a careing company plus there for earth, for life :)
Another great video josh keep up the good videos and keep the videos up to do with the jeep
I'm in central va so fairly similar weather in the winter those tires will hold you back in the sticky mud. Those sway bars are nice if you plan to drive it on the road but for off roading they will hold you back. We use 3 mule sx around our farm. They all have 2" lifts with extremely aggressive mud tires. we have never gotten them stuck that the diff lock couldn't solve. And they are cheap about half the price and have a lot of the same features as the kabota plus being able to fit in the bed of a truck if you have the 2 seater.
Great review Josh. Kubota ought to pay you for this video! Have ya'll test driven other UTVs?
Thanks for the video homeboy
Great job enjoyed that!!!
Great review!
I would love to see a long term review.
Make sure you have the Kubota dealer replace the suspension control arm bushings (yes, you WILL be replacing them) with the proto type brass control arm bushings when the time comes. Kubota is very quietly these fielding for customers who are wearing them out. I have had to replace my control arm bushings 2 years in a row. My dealer brought in the Kubota rep. who thought I might be abusing my RTV x1100c until he looked at it and saw that it looked like it just came off the show room floor. We use our Kubota RTV almost exclusively for beekeeping approx. 100 hives and DO NOT abuse it. The factory rep then told me about Kubota knowing about this problem and having a few 100 prototype brass bushings made. I suspect hauling significant but within design limit weight (which a farm vehicle DOES) is causing the control arm bushings to prematurely wear out. STILL, I LOVE my Kubota! It has been a fantastic machine and am considering purchasing an RTV x1140 next. Oh yeah, almost forgot, go for the Kubota approved 2 inch lift and 28 inch tall tires. I did and love it. No more dragging the rear hitch crossing creeks and much better ground clearance without having to have issues stepping into the cab. Much appreciate the review! 👍
Oh you can fold the back seats and extend the bed that is nice I thought it was kind dumb with the basket but that means it can be a cool side by side with 4 seats or it can be a really nice utv
I have a 2011 Polaris Ranger diesel on our mountain property. It has served us well but we are looking to replace replace it. Thanks for the review.
I'm impressed, I've had a Kubota tractor for almost 20 years... sold on Kubota... the only thing I dislike is the 25 miles an hour... if it only had another higher range I could even live with 40 mph...
The only complaint from most is the speed. The high range is not that of a galloping horse up a hill for sure....But for what we're using it for...it's perfect. I'd say the only time I every got the gator over 15-20 mph on the farm would be in extreme emergency or when we were on the black top headed to get gas at the gas station...now that waste of time is over
Hey Josh good video I really enjoyed this one and underneath your seat that tray that they have there well what I would do is I would put ice in there keep my cool beverages in there so start putting water inside your ice trays and freeze it and that way you'll have it ready to put in there if you want
Excellent Review!!!!!
That looks really cool
Josh love the channel This machine is way better than my Polaris ranger the other companies need to step up there game
Buy that beast and getter wrapped!!!! It’s time the JD has done its due!!! And great vid as usual!!
I have the 1140 CPX and it is a workhorse. It certainly isn't a hot rod but it goes fast enough for me. It has nearly 900 hours on it and never had a problem with it that wasn't my fault. The U joints in the rear went out on mine but it's because I didn't know there were grease fittings on them. I'm glad they went to CV joints on the X series. Someday I might get a new one but so far the one I have has been a great machine. I paid $14,000 for mine back in 2013.
Watched your video, checked out the Kubota dealer/deals and bought one. Make sure you claim credit from Kubota for the saleW
I just spent the last week at a friends place using his kubota rtv and I have to say its way nicer than my polaris however my polaris does everything I ask of it and I only paid $1000 for it and the only maintenance/repairs Ive done was buy rear tires because it had turf tire when I bought it. It is in despret need of storage compartments it only has 1 cup holder and thats it.
Nice vid josh!
Very nice machine!
That's a good price! I just got to get the wife on-board
Great content.
the Kubota rtv looks competent !!
I know 2 brothers that own them. One has cab with doors, air conditioning, heat. Other brother has open cab. Another channel I watch he had a Kubota but he kept getting stuck on his farm, so he bought a Polaris with cab and GPS with all the good stuff.
Josh, great video! First video I saw of your’s was when you were doing a tour of the John Deere. From what I recall you were not in love with it then either. Quick question, do you recommend letting dogs out at night to keep the predators away or lock them up for safety? Thanks man. Keep the content coming. Great job.
My bet is that it is already sitting in the garage. Great review.
Sweet machine!
Kubota makes top notch equipment.
Nice review
thanks for the video
I have owned one for 2 years and it is a great machine. This thing will last 25 years.
Great vid review👍it be great machine for farm, not only diesel but share same oil as tractor. I am reviewing our farm equipment replacing our quad bike with UTV I wonder PTO is available on this model? Stoney Ridge Farmer wrap would awesome👍I reckon toolbox needed for farm work out in field👍
Very nice, should last for many years if you maintain it, and I know you will.
I like it!🤔🤔Now you need a Kubota mini-ex. The two go well together.👍🏻👍🏻
Twenty some years ago I worked part-time for a small family owned construction company digging pools, ditches, and house foundations. I don't remember what type of Kubota tractor they owned, it had rubber tracks a backhoe and a small scrape blade on it. I put that tractor through some tough stuff and it never failed. I don't know much if anything about the UTV's but if it's built like their other equipment it will stand the test of time on your farm.
I was surprised when I heard the price, that thing is built for work, super cool.
Haha i love how you say Kuboter. Please make a song "Taters 'n' Kuboters"!
Nice machine you have there . Any thoughts on doing a review on that cheap chain saw that you showed us one time .
That is sweet!
Nice Unit !!! after that promotion Kubota ought to give you that UTV free of charge well done enjoy.
Yeah really, I know I'm probably gonna buy this model b/c of this video!
I really like the Kubota I have a BX2670 subcompact tractor probably the same setup as that X1140. runs great bought new two years ago no problems. Also on another note $16900 twenty seven years ago you could have bought two Geo metro convertibles and had enough money left for takeout. :-)
You being 6’5 and sitting comfortably is a big selling point.
