How did THE NAZI LEADER THINK? | The man who was DIFFERENT from the OTHERS

  • Adolf Hitler is one of the most enigmatic and studied figures in history. Not only was he responsible for the most brutal crimes ever committed, but he knew how to conquer the minds and wills of hundreds of thousands of people. The intrigue is how a failed artist managed to transform himself into an expert speaker and a fierce leader. Since his youth, his family and friends noticed that he was different, but... What does that really mean? Was he a genius of superior intelligence? Or an egomaniacal psychopath with a messianic complex.

      There are probably hundreds of books and articles trying to explain the Germans' attraction to Hitler. The truth is that no one can fully explain it. I taught this subject in college courses and never found an adequate explanation. I also lived fifteen years in Germany during the Cold War and I still can't explain why Germans would fall so heartily for a monster. Best thing is to read widely, watch CZcams, and try to form a composite opinion from a variety of sources. By the way, you're right about the America of today. We are in danger of falling prey to an ugly form of government, and we need to review Nazi history to analyze the tricks that government forces will use to seduce the American public. (I am NOT denouncing Trump when I say all this).

      He came into power around the time of the depression..That combined with the Versailles Treaty...He had ideas that the German people liked because he promised to bring Germany back to a thriving, world power..Along with being a very powerful speaker, I think just grabbed the curiosity of the people in a certain way.

    • @lyzofx
      @lyzofx Pƙed 21 dnem

      After the Germans were accused of being solely responsible for the First World War in the shameful Treaty of Versailles (although Austria had started it), they had to hand over 13% of their territories to the victors (all their colonies excluded!!) and thus 10% of their population, were not allowed to join the League of Nations without the consent of the victors, had to limit their armed forces to 100,000 men, were not allowed to own tanks, air force or navy, and the Rhineland (80% of German industry) was from now on occupied by France and yet the Germans had to pay all reparations for the First World War (132 billion gold marks). During the Weimar Republic (which was forced on the Germans, they actually liked their Kaiser and the monarchy) there was hyperinflation in 1923 due to the reparation payments and in 1929 the Great Depression. In addition, there was the constant threat of the communists. And all because they were stabbed in the back during the First World War and the Treaty of Versailles was signed (Militarily, the Germans were quite good in the First World War). They had promised themselves so much from their hard-earned German Empire but now it was nothing but a nice memory. Now there were 7 million unemployed, a terrible infrastructure and probably the most incompetent democratic government imaginable
      The Germans longed for strong leadership that would take responsibility and put everything back in order. Hitler offered this. He gave 7 million Germans work again, built motorways, revolutionized the financial system with Hjalmar Schacht and separated himself from the international financial industry, brought Germany back to the top economically, gave the Germans back national pride and all this in a long-awaited new German Reich. If Hitler had died in 1939, he would have gone down in history as a hero. But all these positive qualities would bring a lot of negative ones in the years that followed

I remember that he wasn't interested in becoming a politician in the first place, but politics chose him. When he became a leader, he just simply told the people what they wanted to hear since they were already antisemitic.
