I had a customer come in and the MAF had the same out of range code. It was reading 30g/s at idle so I ordered a new one but now I worry it's something deeper. There's been work on the intercooler pipe as well. There was a split pipe.

Had a MAF sensor fault and limp mode. Turned out to be water leaked into the air box and completely soaked the filter causing it to break up and contaminate the sensor. A known problem apparently with 2016 models onwards. Couldn’t believe it. I was very lucky it didn’t ingest into the engine and cause more damage.

That’s more common on the 2.0 ecoblue rear wheel drives

I've got a similar thing going on but it only happens in the morning....on my 45 minute commute to work, i can reset the code for mass airflow too high 5 times and it keeps going into limp mode. Finish work at 5pm, can drive as far as i like and it will not show a problem đŸ€Ż
Assuming its an atmospheric problem, really dont want to try a MAF sensor at 100 quid. I'm gona study the values some more having seen you go through it, much appreciated

      @@chestermartin2356 suggest shop around. I didn’t pay £100 for a replacement sensor.

@@AndyWilliamsUK I tried a sensor off another vehicle and it didn't resolve it anyway. A genuine part would be 100 quid, there's cheaper knocking around but it's a gamble with quality

Hi) Did you replace the green sensor on intercooler or ambient temperature sensor?

What App are you using here. Looks like Lynx Evo but with a red skin?

Get these boost sensors going on 5cyl diesel volvos all the time. Sometimes give a maf code that can be quite misleading!
Good check is atmospheric VS boost pressure at ignition and they should be the same.

Hi I have the same problem with custom in plag the IAT sensor and fault goes away but unfortunately it doesn’t self regenerate because of that fault across the contacts it measures 7.5 ohms I have replaced it with after market but still have the same problem your video was very helpful and I take it that your problem was cured after replacing iat was it original or after market

Hi. Did replacing the ambient air sensor fix this in the end? I have the same van with same codes which are still there after replacing the MAF sensor

Looking like that sensor. I find fault code descriptions confusing sometimes.

Great video interesting but also misleading with codes wonder if could put one of those senser voltage tools in place around 1.5 volts and see if temp changed and light stayed off

Hi. Did we get an answer as to what the fault is? I’m going through this now with my van.
