I want to like this millions. Though you got my 1. I feel like we lost the concept of chivalry due to the confusion of feminism as you so put it. Is true. I was never taught chivalry. It just came to me through instinct. Yet, was pushed away because the concept has been misunderstood. Just as put in this video. I want it to be a series. We need more videos about chivalry to help lesser generations better understand. A world without appreciation is a world of depreciation.

Thank you for this intelligent, acknowledging, interesting video. Respect and love each others men and women. Chivalry is not condenscenting and patronising toward woman, it depends on the intentions that a person has. It's just an instrument that one decides to use for good or evil. Don't be ignorant, use common sense. Chivalry is mans way to show his love, affection care, respect ect to his beloved woman. Only ignorant people use chivalry to be condenscenting and patronazing It's up to you to recognise if his intentions are good and pure or with ulterior motive.

Chivalry is gentleman's way to honour, respect, take care and cherish his beloved woman. Real man does these act out of love, respect and consideration toward his woman. He doesn't want to be condensenting or patronazing. These men who show chivalrous acts to be condenscenting and patronazing don't merit womens attention and time. Women choose men who have pure intentions. Chivalry is an instrument that can be stumentalized to do good or bad acts. Women and men don't get discouraged by malicious people who want to destroy acts of love and service.

When I prepare to enter a building I casually check any reflections or shadows to see if anyone is behind me. If the person approaching from behind is a woman, I turn around and walk away from the building until she has gone inside. Some women find it offensive when a man holds a door open and I don't want to deal with inadvertently being considered a creep. Of course I'm already a creep for having accidentally glanced at her as she approached the door. I would love to play the role of a "traditional" man, but women want to be independent. I would have loved to take care of a wife and help raise a family. I have the financial means to do so comfortably. Women never get to discover that I have money. I am merely average in height, features and build, therefore immediately falling short of the standards demanded by modern women. My only reasonable choice is to avoid them.

Not necessarily, as various scientific studies have indicated the overwhelming majority of women do indeed find chivalry to be "attractive".
Even self-proclaimed "Feminists" do, in spite of constantly lambasting chivalry as "Sexist".
Personally, I do not really care for chivalry myself, but most individuals I am aware of definitely appreciate it.

Women do express chivalry, but in the domain of their natural superiority: sex. The beauty and attractiveness of a woman is a powerful facilitator in a man's world. Women who are modest, chaste and lady-like are willingly denying themselves social advantage over men (and other women) in order to demonstrate their eligibility across all aspects of society.

Maybe just like you said, men are being chivalrous just to be polite. But I know for sure that "some" men use it to exert his superiority. For example my ex was (at least he thought he was) chivalrous person. When we started dating I just considered it a courtesy and accepted it even though I felt uncomfortable with it because I didn't really want to hurt his feelings. And when I finally told him that I appreciate his courtesy but I find it uncomfortable he yelled at me and said that what I said was "deeply emasculating".

Exactly! It’s so condescending, and creates an awful power imbalance. I hate the idea that a guy feels he’s entitled to my body because he’s paid for my drink. It all stems from the idea that women want money and men want sex, when we should be equals in both departments. It’s the only way to a healthy relationship.

Also, nowadays, women have many more rights compared to men. If a man was harassed by a woman, nobody would care. However is a woman is being harassed by a man the whole story is changed. Yes, men are more capable in some ways, doesn’t mean this is expected of them. Oh, and how about in court situations where women are much more likely to gain custody of their child and the dad is meant to pay thousands in child support without any chance or choice?? Seriously women who have these beliefs are the “idiots” as you explained earlier about men.
