You have to pull the cable out of the of the outer sleave and just cut the outer sleave with a side cutter instead of buying another tool.
My brass shift cable nut stripped and rounded off when using the special shift cable removal socket when I went to take it out. Now what the heck do i do!
Don't panic. Easy fix. Guess I need to post a new video!!
Hammering a slightly smaller socket over the nut was successful for me.
