    Verse 1:
    History Repeats Itself
    Over And Over Again & Again
    Why Should We Escape Ourselves
    We Are Who We Are In The End
    In The End
    Pre-Chorus:
    Over & Over Again x2
    Chorus:
    This Is Madness, Madness
    And You Know That
    This Is Madness, Madness
    And You Know That
    This is Never Changing, It's Always In This Way
    Consuming Madness, Madness
    Verse 2:
    Enemies Who Once Were Friends
    Round And Around Till We Know How It Ends
    I Can't Believe How Sickening
    All the Love Lost We Can't Even Pretend
    Pre-Chorus:
    Over & Over Again x2
    Chorus:
    This Is Madness, Madness
    And You Know That
    This Is Madness, Madness
    And You Know That
    This is Never Changing, It's Always In This Way
    Consuming Madness, Madness

    I've liked All That Remains for years, I even thought their last couple of albums were still good. At first, I didn't really care for this song, but the more I listened to it, the more it grew on me. I'm actually really digging it now.

    I just don't feel the passion they used to have. In the lyrics, in the riffs and the structure of the song. I love Phil and ATR, their music has had an impact on me, but I hope I can connect to this album like the other ones. Just personal opinion

As for the order of things i like every song, but bite my tounge is killer, fiat empirel tru kvlt metal... a reason for me to fight... nobody else is doing it better than these guys. I havent heard anything with the killer melodies of these guys. So why is everyone talking smack about it? What are you guys all listening to? Its pretty obvious these two albums set a bar nobody came close to. Bite my tounge says it all. People should stop talking shit about the only Gothenburg act alive and kicking. I guess whatever else the kids are listening to is better than this style to them? Its clear that people who dont like this dont like this type of music. Laughable really to judge this music if you dont like the style. Nobody ever made it better, period.

    People are missing the point of this song. Its called madness. They start the song with history repeats itself, (a paradigm of human nature) they emphasize this in the repeating vocals. Insanity is doing something the same way over and over again expecting different results.. genius lyricism. It's redundant purposefully to emphasize this point.

    Don't you love when you like a song by a band that you haven't really been interested in before, so you look it up on CZcams and the comments are full of people saying "THIS SONG SUCKS WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS BAND???? LIKE, RETWEET, REBLOG, REPOST, GOOGLE+, AND SUBSCRIBE IF YOU HATE CHANGE LIKE ME!!!!"
    This happened with Muse too, before Drones. The only song I liked from them, which got me into music to begin with, was on an album that APPARENTLY was unpopular (though I'm not sure if that's accurate), and then I heard a brand-new song from them that I liked and it turned out that album was being bashed too... I guess I have the most unique music taste in the world, no one else likes what I like!
    (Actually, the second song I liked from Muse was Madness... should people just stop making songs with that name so their albums can be popular again?)

  • @julianfelton3068
    @julianfelton3068 Před 7 lety +33

    I fucking love this song! Anyone who's disagreeing is simply just unappreciative or void of any melodic sensibilities. And possibly only following Metalcore for the screaming which is fine but not the only way that a song can be done vocally. As far the lyrics I think their pretty good not gonna say their earth shattering because every subject has been talked about before. Therefore not leaving much to be discussed that hasn't already. With that said this song is actually good if you can actually like it on it's merit. Comparing this to Fall Of Ideals or This Darkened Heart is beyond asinine because that's not progressing but instead stagnating in the same place with no real sense of growth. The real sellout and losing interest point would've been that nobody wants an entire discography of that on repeat.

    • @alondite215
      @alondite215 Před 7 lety +8

      Ever heard of Protest The Hero? Probably not. Rody's vocals and the band's melodic sensibilities as a whole shit all over everything this bad has done (even when they were good prior to like 2007), and they're still heavy, nuanced, thoughtful, adventurous, aggressive, varied and passionate. You don't have to make sacrifices.
      It's not growth when a band becomes less adventurous, less nuanced, less varied, less passionate, and more like everything else. That's degeneration.

    • @xb0xisbetter
      @xb0xisbetter Před 7 lety +3

      AlonditeMX, I can respect Protest The Hero, but I completely disagree that they're better than All That Remains in 2007 and prior. I upvoted you anyway because you're 100% on the mark that this is degeneration.
      Julian Felton, screaming doesn't matter to me, it doesn't to most people who like them in their prime, especially not compared to the INSTRUMENTALS. This sounds like garbage instrumentally compared to anything from This Darkened Heart or The Fall of Ideals. You could pick any random song from those albums, the worst ones on the albums, and they're better than this.

    • @julianfelton3068
      @julianfelton3068 Před 7 lety

      I hear what you're saying but now it's the same argument only toward the instrumental. Which I find has more groove and is easy to get into even for those who love to mosh. Just because it's not as heavier or technical like older songs doesn't make it garbage. It's obvious different in sound but still heavy to be on even the most melodic metal bands catalogue. As far as picking random songs from those albums goes back to my point of not committing repetition. I like Safe House which is reminiscent to the older sound but Madness opens up the possibilities of what the band can do. Remember their getting older and cant/won't want to do the same thing over. Also how is this degeneration when what you agreed with would've been the same result had they continue the same sound with no risk. See my point there?

    • @julianfelton3068
      @julianfelton3068 Před 7 lety

      I have heard of Protest The Hero but never listened to them. How is any of this considered Degeneration when in fact if they had continue to do the same sound from the past with no risk? It's less risky or playing it safe when you stay in the slayer mentality. But when you experiment whether for the good or bad that's taking a risk. And being able to have the heart and balls to do such a thing is what helps a band's growth. Nobody likes change I get it but it's like transitioning from childhood to adulthood. But unfortunately we have to grow in order to learn more about life and not remain children.

      It's degeneration because it's sacrificing musicality. They became less complex and less adventurous in favor of becoming more like dine-a-dozen pop rock/metal. There's nothing risky about adopting a commercial-friendly sound.
      True growth would have been in the opposite direction from where they've gone. To more varied riffs, more complex polyrhythmic drums lines, more vocal styles and tonal ranges, more unusual song structures and thoughtful lyrical themes. They're doing to opposite of literally all of that in order to be easier to listen to for the masses who can't understand anything more than the most basic of songwriting.
