Jason is the only guitarist that can write new ATR songs and make it feel like Oli is playing. Its trippy. But i love Jason in the band, and a lot of fellow ATR fans do as well.
He truly is the best that ATR could've ever chosen to take Oli's spot. And it's great to know Jason knew Oli before Oli passed. Oli was a huge fan of Jason's playing and vise versa.

I agree that is the best that ATR could've ever chosen, but his solos just arent it bro, theres no vocal imitations, no phrasing, just sweeping and picking fast scales over chords..

Man Jason is really stepping up. If you ever heard Jason’s own stuff, he sounds a lot different than this. I think Jason went out of his way to pay homage to Oli and us as fans really appreciate that.
Phil is also killing it. In this song especially you can hear a very unique, beautiful hook in his voice that he changes at the end. Bravo guys. New drummer rips.

Reminds me of A War You Cannot Win. The intro, the chorus, the guitar solo. Song is all together is heavy on the feels. Love it! 🙏🏻

Everything so far sounds like a mix of Fall of Ideals and Overcome. Those are my favorite albums by ATR so I'm liking them a lot!
Love your voice Phil , love the instrumental but I love when y’all blend harsh and the softer vocals. Not a big fan of ONLY soft vocals 🤷♂️
They lost someone integral to their band, a close friend, someone they'd call a brother.
You don't go through trauma holding just anger.
So if all you're expecting is every song to have a blend of heavy and soft or just soft, you don't get how fucking grief works.
it's only one song of many others. they had launching 2 other heavy songs, man. All That Remains always launch songs like this one, and always are great songs!

The side of you that spends hours painting, to try and get popular off your passion (you can say you don't care, but you post so.. you DEFINITELY care) and that hasn't happened.
So a band that IS passionate about music getting popular for their music is an issue if it doesn't sound exactly like you think it should sound?
A little psychoanalysis, maybe, but here's a fact:
This band experienced TREMENDOUS grief. The type of grief that has outright ended other bands. As an artist, you'd think you'd understand that anger isn't the only emotion a person might feel. Unless of course that emotion is manufactured for the sake of gaining sympathy or popularity..

You wouldn't want to publicly out yourself now.
@nolankuffner3573 not enough hooks, bro. By all means write slow songs but make the hooks big. Make the melodies big, make sure the guitars and drum fills are memorable.

Opening melody is killer, but then it all kinda dies.
I know everyone else is saying it too but damn I miss Oli and how his guitarmanship affected my life and how many memorable riffs and solos he wrote that just stick in my brain… BUT I will say Jason, who I was already a fan of and knew he was good, is doing a fucking hell of a job with these new tracks I’m hearing and it’s bringing out Phil’s energy in a way that I am loving!!!
It's definitely the weakest of the singles. Very radio friendly. I'm hoping this is the only song like it on the new album.
