'Are You Real?' is undeniably another of the stand-out numbers on Tomi Malm’s brand new album 'Coming Home'. The fabulously mellow and bewitching track, co-writen by Tomi and Jackie Kavan, instantly reminds the listener of a cross between Steely Dan and Pages, featuring stunning vocals handled by Norway's national treasure Ole Børud. The rhythm section features John 'JR' Robinson on drums, Neil Stubenhaus on bass, Tim Pierce on guitar and Tomi weighing in on keyboards. Honorable mention also to the stellar horn parts delivered by the smoking The Fat City Horns on this arrangement. A jazzy masterpiece that is definitely one of the highlights of this extraordinary album.
