This one is so often overlooked. It’s funny how you picked up on the genre changes because they’re so subtle. Most reactors describe this one as “staying in its lane,” but it really does jump around to different genres and Melodie’s. Like you said, it’s a compilation, but each piece flows so well into the next that they’ve tricked us into thinking they stayed in one lane. It’s all cohesive and it all makes sense. This is top-tier composition to me. Also, been meaning to say two things: 1. Just give up and make hitting the microphone part of your schtick. It’s weaved into your identity now, so better to work with it than against it. 😂 And 2. In all seriousness, thank you so much for the hours of enjoyment you’ve given us. This may not have been part of the plan, but sometimes the unexpected comes together in a way a plan maybe wouldn’t have. Never know. But for real, the microphone is now a character on your show. Less so when it ended and immediately went into Vore, but you can’t win ‘em all 😅 Def interested in your take on Vore. I hated it at first but it’s really grown on me. Also that song absolutely fucks live-the Vesselettes (the choir that performs with them) sound heavenly and it ends up working really well. Also, I could NEVER be a reactor on CZcams because I’m too impatient to listen to an album bit by bit. That sounds like torture. Aqua regia, or “royal water.” An acid that is noteworthy for it’s ability to dissolve gold. I think this song is interesting when connecting to the lyrics from the first song on the album: “I’ll turn my walls to gold to bring you home again.” This album is chock full of callbacks to earlier in the album, and to earlier songs on other albums. I think this callback could potentially mean “I’ll dissolve my defenses and put myself in a vulnerable position if we could only be close again.”
