I’m going into year 11 this year, high school is a lot different to what it was made it out to be. Just be urself, don’t change to what other people expect you to be, get good study habits now you’ll thank me later when you have to do AST or HSC (depending on which state) and have fun seriously cherish these years, I’ve still got two left but I already miss my first four years of high school

Nice video! Im actually interested in becoming a high school teacher myself. Do you know if there’s demand for computing/software teachers in NSW? I’ve heard that there’s demand for TAS but not specifically software, and since computing/software is an elective, I’m not too sure about the demand. Do you know anything about that?
Hey there, like you, I'm aware of the demand for TAS teachers but not specifically software. The more codes you can get, the better your chances of employment.
This video has helped me a lot in showing how a teacher's life would be!!!Btw, I am about to start my uni life in Australia and I intend to study Primary Teaching-English at Macquarie! May I ask you, that, as an international student, is it harder for us to get a teaching job here than the locals? Like I heard that it's kinda competitive so I'm a bit afraid and hesitant! I can't imagine that it would be harder. We have a teacher shortage at the moment. It's not a career for the faint of heart though so I wish you all the best 🙏

I don't know much about psychology teaching. But people usually say do primary if you love the kids and high school if you love the subject 😊
Hi, I'm thinking about majoring in secondary education in Australia to become a high school teacher. But I’m curious about what things are difficult and give burnout to teachers. Also, what kind of work do you have to do at home outside of school as a high school teacher?
Poor behaviour of students, Lack of support from senior staff and parents, frequent and often unnecessary meetings, ever growing administration, marking and reporting, lack of time to actually plan and get organised, dangerous behaviour in the playground that makes you scared to go on duty, increasing welfare needs of students which adds to the emotional burden, bullying from other staff. I could go on...

There is a demand for casual teachers for sure. Economics and accounting is very niche and it would be harder to get a permanent job. Maths and science have been in demand for a while now.

@@upasanasharma4152 you work day to day and can be put on anyone's classes in any subject. Casual teachers don't have a permanent job. Some weeks you could get 5 days of work, other weeks only 1. It's easy to get day to day casual teaching work, but another harder to get permanency.

Get a study routine- a little daily goes a long way. Start on assessments early and do multiple edits. Friends are important, but many of the friends you have in high school, you won't talk to five years after. So hang out with your friends and have fun, but don't get caught up in the drama. Don't let people change who you are! Teenagers are very impressionable and want to be liked but that doesn't mean you need to change what you like, how you look or what you believe to be liked! 😊❤🌞📗
Im going into year 11 this year, im guessing ur going into year 8 now? But I defs agree. Hey there! I've only ever taught secondary, so I can't really give advice on this. Secondary is great if you have a specific subject passion. I love talking about books 📚

@@riviera8383 I don't want to sugar-coated it, burnout is real and there is going to be a massive amount of people walking away from the job in the next couple of years...

Hello mam...this is Rohit i am from India..my question is how can I become a teacher in Australia (adelaide/Perth)? My education is B.sc(bachelor of science)B.ed(bachelor of education).and now day i am preparing IELTS exam to get admission in Australian universities.. because i know once i finish master in Australia and then i will able to teach write now I have 2 option 1st master of teaching or 2nd master of education but after completing my master what will I have to do for becoming teacher please reply

Hey Rohit! I teach in NSW which is a different state to either Adelaide or Perth and is run by a different Department of Education. So I'm not exactly sure what their requirements are. Most people I know are completing a Masters of Education 😊

@@kalsariyarohit642 I can't speak for other states, but NSW is suffering a major teacher shortage at the moment. They desperately need maths and science teachers. Non-teaching would probably involve learning support and we need more of those also 😊👌

I've worked with quite a few Indian teachers 8n the NT. Australian schools are *very* different to Indian schools. If you come to teach in Australia get yourself an experienced mentor from day one and work on your classtoom and behaviour management. At the risk of being politically incorrect, every Indian teacher I have worked with has struggled in that area I've had teachers from India tell me multiple times that Aussie kids do not respect learning or their teachers like the kids in India do.

The question which I want to ask is that, I have completed all my education privately. I didn't regularly joined any university or College but I have done a lot of work in terms of becoming a teacher. Now I working as a government teacher here in our country at elementary level. My qualification is Master in Islamic education and also have one year diploma of teaching with five years experience. Is it possible for me to become a teacher there?
