  • The CTR's suspension is fantastic right out of the box but had some setbacks in R mode. The dampening was too harsh and needed some upgrading. Going into this build I wanted the CTR to be a street setup and wanted to keep the comfort. RS-R Sports- i coilovers was definitely the right choice and set for the CTR build.

      It's a very easy install if someone shows you the tricks 😉

    Is removing the end link and the other side of the sway bar the “secret” to keeping the axel from slipping out? I’ve seen people run into the axel coming out and having to replace the seal but haven’t seen a video where the remove both of the items mentioned. Video Min. 4:39

    • @phothrottle
      @phothrottle  Před 6 dny

      Yes that is the way we didn't it and we had no issues. Of course you would use caution and always keep an eye in the seal. It's a petty straight forward install.

    Don't forget the spoon lower ball joints.

    • @phothrottle
      @phothrottle  Před 11 měsíci

      Not sure if a need those at this time. I heard the rigid collars makes a huge difference. The Spoon lower ball joints is a huge installation process.

    Hey man love the videos. Definitely giving you a follow. I plan on running the exact same tyres, but on a 18x9.5 +38 rim. Will be lowered with with spoon springs. Just wondering your thoughts on tyre run or not? I see you have said no rub with your setup. I know it’s only 2mm but that could be the difference. I’ve been told these ad09 run quite wide size for size too.

    Can we book victor for our FL5s ? Not serious but actually pretty serious.

    Did you guys have to get a four-wheel alignment after the installation? I've been convinced to go in this direction versus lowering springs. Thanks.

    • @phothrottle
      @phothrottle  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Michael they recommend wheel alignment after the installation. I took mine in and pretty much wasted my money. The alignment was within specs.

    Great video, are you thinking of running rear camber arms?

      Hey thanks Neil! Yes I will be adding some rear camber arms in the near future.

      @@phothrottle Also, any thoughts on lower ball joints vs. top camber plates for the front?

    • @phothrottle
      @phothrottle  Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@neilisnext it is a big job to replace the ball joints. I have done them on my other vehicles and the ride quality is diminished significantly. I really haven't decided yet if I am going to do it to the CTR.

      @@phothrottle couldn’t see in the vid. Did you get the adjustable plates for your front coils?

    • @phothrottle
      @phothrottle  Před 10 měsíci

      @@neilisnext the rsr best i doesn't come with the adjustable top camber plates but they do offer them it you need the extra camber.
      www.rs-r.ca/ they will be able to help you get them.

    Yet no proper corner weighting done 🤦🏻‍♂️ you hardly know which suspension part is which. These spring rates are too soft and front bottoms out
