I am Egyptian, but live in Saudia. I discovered out that everything tastes better in Egypt..! Egypt has a special secret, that no one knows..! Onions here in Saudia come from Egypt, but never taste the same. This land is adorable and blessed from God. I went to Dubai as well, and everything tastes differently in Egypt..! All my family says same thing.

ايوا عارفة ، بس انا بصححلك الاسم وبقولك اسمها حلويات مصرية لان لما تقولي شرقية بمعني انها حلويات من الشرق كله مش مختصة ببلد.! لكن الي انتي ذكرتيه دا كله والي موجود فى كل محلات مصر عموما هى حلويات مصرية صميمة وممكن نقول حلويات مصرية شرقية ، لكن نوضح انها حلويات مصرية قبل اي حاجة لان فى بلاد من الشرق بدون ذكر اسمائهم بينسبو كل حلويتنا ليهم ولتركيا وعاوزين يقنعونا انينا سارκين منهم الحلويات بتاعتنا.! وعاوزين يسجلوها دولياً بأسم بلادهم.. واحنا كدا بنساعدهم لما نقول شرقية

Actually eating Koshary with bread is quite common at poorer districts. It is a handy way for poor workers to eat their launch in a practical and speedy manner and it makes it easier to get full and lasts for a long time.
Whenever you are in a richer district, or at fancier koshary shops, you would never see that kind of habit.
Nah, this is not true. Eating koshary with bread is common only at Al fayoum it's like tradition there all shops in fayoum and almost all people eating koshary with bread and from fayoum it moved to all over the country usually ppl in fayoum buy the kossary in bread ready from restaurants not buying them separated and then mix it themselves
AZZAM from geza which is very near to fayoum so he has the habit of eating koshary with bread

You said "only" in Fayoum after which you said "moved all over Egypt".
Since it is "all over" Egypt then it is NOT only in Fayoum even if Fayoum is the source (I don't kniw about that).
And still, wherever you go you would never find such habit except at poorer areas. May be in Fayoum it is an exception.

I am specifically talking about koshary. Eating koshary with bread is not nominal anywhere in Egypt (except maybe in Fayoum as you mentioned).
