Too funny!!! My five-yr-old daughter yelled "Honda-da-bosha!" out of nowhere one day. When I asked what she said, she told me that she's speaking in "tums". My husband said that she must have been healing her stomach from indigestion. That goes to show that even she has heard many of those expressions! Thanks for the laugh!!
That's hilarious, but concerning if true. You're letting your kid get influenced like that? You're probably lying about it all but if not, you need to check your parenting
I swear this lady at my old church used to fake it to the most high! Yelling out Hes coming in a honda, Hyundai Hyundai!, She-ra....she-raaa!, Shababababa
@@originalmix2546 I possibly have, if that's actually a thing. When I would go to the Pentecostal church with my dearly departed Meemaw, her pastor would frequently speak in tongues, and it sounded absolutely gorgeous, like he was reciting love poetry or something. I'm a word nerd and I have a love of languages, particularly the way words sound, and this did not sound like the sylables repeated over and over again like most of what I had heard previously. I believe that bit in Scripture about the tongues of angels from I Corinthians 13 is taken out of context, but I think if God really does allow people to speak the language He speaks in Heaven, I find it highly unlikely that He would have them go, "Dadadada" over and over. He is the creator of the whole universe, and also all the languages. If you listen to other languages, you can hear how beautiful some of them sound. Seriously, go listen to people singing in Hebrew. Do you really think that the God who created that would just be repeating syllables over and over? I seriously don't think so.
I am new to it as of a couple weeks. As the Holy Spirit is training my mouth to follow His lead, I have a lot of repetition. When new consonants are added in, I go through a Sound-It-Say-It chant. I say the sound in staccato single syllables, then a triple, then a quintuple syllable word including the sound. If I miss out, the word is repeated until I get it right. It is really bizarre, but kind of fun. I can run my mouth and multitask like read or whatever.
People get so sensitive with the topic of "speaking in tongues" but lets not get sensitive and understand that God has a sense of humor as well...the bible says when people speak in tongues, there ought to be a translator. And yet I never see a translator for those who are speakig in tongues. This is why many new Christians get a misconception of the true holy spirit... In the upper room, when the followers of Christ spoke in tongues, IT WAS A TRUE LANGUAGE THAT COULD BE TRANSLATED FROM SOMEONE IN THE ROOM WHO ORIGINALLY SPOKE THAT LANGUAGE...THERE WAS NO SHANANANANA BOSHYA GOIN ON.., GOD FORGIVE ME...BUT I thought this was HILARIOUS...AND PEOPLE NEED TO BE PUT ON BLAST.
Exactly!!! Ive never heard a pastor break into japanese or portugese or some language it's always stuff none understands or a language that doesn't exist. And then when you ask they say "no, only God understands....so why are we here then?? Go talk to him in your own time! In my understanding when the disciples were given tongues it was so that they could travel and preach to people of other cultures.....but Im sleep though.....
This is hilarious! It kills me that a lot of churches do this! Tongues was a gift but they were known LANGUAGES! If I was in China and wanted to preach to non-English speaking people, the gift would allow me to speak Chinese! It blows me away people buy all this mumbling and babbling as real tongues!
Black churches and white churches have 'pet' tongues phrases. I've heard a lot of people in black churches end with the phrase "ho sa", while "shunda" seems to be white church fodder! Lol
Jesus is the interpreter. Tongues is a way to pray to God. Interceding on behalf of others. While there are many fake tongues, there are many real tongues.
When I was a kid, back in the day, this old dude, Brother Gault wanted to speak in tongues so badly. One night the Holy Ghost fell on him and he started to shout and speak, he did! Only he was speaking Spanish! Another brother understood Spanish and approached Brother Gault after service . Brother Gault explained that he had only wanted to speak in tongues like everyone else! Peer group pressure in church!
This was hilarious! The whole point of Speaking in tongues was to speak the biblical Word of God in other earthly human languages so that other countries can understand the gospel in their own native language.
A guy I used to work with told me he used to fake it all the time. He said all you do is say "keys to my Honda." This kind of behavior is an embarrassment, and makes the church look bad. When I was younger, my parents left a church, because some of the leaders in the church told my parents that they were not saved, because they couldn't speak in tongues. Scripture says otherwise.
New to Christianity here just 2 months ago. I was trying to understand what all this speaking in tongues stuff is and this video popped up. Lol!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you, now I know! The Christians in church who do this need to be careful with this stuff, gonna scare off any athiest that have a chance of finding God.
real tongues dont come from the mind, they come from the Spirit. if you have to think about what your saying its probably just from your mind. Romans 8:26
lots of people may be playing.. but there are some who are really uttering under the power... things of the spirit seem like foolishness to natural mind... Im just saying... lets not just make it all a joke...
The gift of tongues is not speaking gibberish, it is earthly languages, which the speaker does not understand, spoken by the power of Holy Ghost as a witness, not for the purpose of personal prayer. The Bible also says it should not be done without an interpreter present and should be done orderly, one at a time. When was the last time a that pattern was followed? And by the way this video does not qualify as interpretation of tongues.
Biblical Broadcasting I respect what you believe but I just wanted to throw 1 Corinthians 14 your way. You’re right about needing interpreters to pray in tongues but why would we need interpreters if there’s no such thing as “gibberish tongues”?? The Bible states that we need interpreters when there’s a service, so that the whole church as a body can learn from the prayers, rather than walking into a church full of people speaking gibberish. The verse states that God isn’t a God of confusion but of peace. It also says to not forbid tongues in the church but if there are no interpreters, keep it to yourself. Now you’re also right about the early language tongues but you must understand there’s different types of tongues.. the one you speak of and the “gibberish” one. Praise the Lamb!!
@@biblicalbroadcasting2639 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. I Corinthians 14:2 NKJV
I hate to rain on everyone's parade, but Spanish is not a "fake tongue." If a person who doesn't know Spanish all of a sudden speaks Spanish, and there is someone there who can translate it, then that is speaking in tongues. I wish people would stop thinking that Aramaic is the only "tongue" language.
God does not play when it comes to the holy spirit.. Matthew 12:31 So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven--except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven.
Wow. I just read through some of the comments on this video. I believe one person said or two that this young man has committed blasphemy against the holy spirit. Nonsense. He did not deny the work of the holy spirit nor did he call the work of the holy spirit evil. What he did do was point out, albeit in a slightly Crass way what SOME And I’m definitely not saying all, I repeat some Christians do. Lately, there has been this philosophy out there that if you don’t have tongues you are not saved. I say again nonsense. In fact today I was just reading one Corinthians that talks about prophecy and tongues that we are to desire Prophecy over tongues and that we are never ever to speak tongues in our churches without an interpreter. Too many of our churches today, allow a rampant speaking of tongues without an interpreter and this goes against God’s Word. But I don’t believe for a second that this young man intentionally made fun of the holy spirit, he made fun of people who either deliberately or unintentionally fake tongues. I think we should be more concerned with people who do such things, and again not because they are blaspheming the holy spirit, but because for some reason, they are feeling pressured into needing to know how to speak tongues. My spiritual gift is not tongues. You do not need to be able to speak in tongues to be saved. I pray in English, are used to try to speak in tongues but I have since been convicted, that my gift is not in tongues so I shouldn’t try to fake it or speak it if I cannot because that gift has not been given to me. The scriptures are clear that tongues are given “as the Holy Spirit gives utterance“. Please, be very careful when you say someone has committed the unforgivable sin. I absolutely get all this young man made this video, however, maybe next time do it a little bit more reverently. I just think he was trying to use a sense of humour which we know that Jesus had/has after nicknaming two of his disciples. Please, let’s not get tangled in legalismBut we also need to show the correct reverence towards the Lord. God bless xx
The point is that there are a whole lotta FAKEs in Church...This was too funny, to to funny!! According the the Word: "If anyone speaks in a tongue, two-or at the most three-should speak, one at a time, and someone MUST (emphasis added) interpret." (NIV)
Yes it's a disgrace. Tongues are real languages. That's why u need an interrupter, someone who understands the language, without an interpreter it's pointless.
In the next verse (1 Cor 14:28), it says: "But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God." (KJV) Take note: the church, in this context, implies speaking publicly while "to himself and to God" is that which happens when you have communion with God (one-to-one/personal prayer session). This buttresses 1 Cor 14:2 which says: "For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit." (NIV) In other words, it is not forbidden to speak in tongues without having an understanding of what you are saying. However, speaking in tongues in public without an interpretation (which is a gift on its own) could lead to arguments hence the admonition to avoid such. Thank you for sharing a valid point.
Olusegun Ogundeji so correct I don't know why people only feel it is language... Paul says don't speak in tongues in church because people will think u are insane and hence such arguments like this
Disclaimer * PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT BEING FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND SPEAKING IN TONGUES IS A GIFT FROM GOD AND IS NO LAUGHING MATTER. NOW... with that being said I almost fell on the floor... Y'all are too much and too funny... Thanks for the video and for religious people everywhere BLESS you please don't go protesting
Actually no it's not and just because it's written in an ancient book does not make it true. I could say herry potter is true because it's in a book. The next point is no reliable study has proven the supernatural. A reliable study would make it past peer reviewe and no one has to any of my knowledge or most people done that. In fact their are scientific organizations that are offering big cash prizes to anyone who can prove the supernatural under scientific controlled experiments and no one has passed any of the test. But it gets worse to know where supernatural would begin we would at bare minimum have to know all things that can happen naturally own it's own. But we are no whear near figuring out the natural universe so good luck figuring out what qualifies as supernatural. Because boy you got a lot of work to do.

You guys are Hilarious! Back in the day, we used to here different ones say.... " I tie my bow tie You tie my bow tie Retie my bow tie" Only say it faster! Have fun guys!😂😂😂😂
I am amused that so many people are offended when they mock "tongues," but they're fine when they mock the silly way preaches preach. Preaching the Word rightly is commanded in 2 Timothy 4:1-2 and 4:3-4 tells us why. Yet so many of these modern day preachers do more shouting, dancing, shucking, and jiving than going through the text to show us what God is saying about Himself and what we are required to do. But that's okay to mock, but when they mock the foolishness of fake "tongues" in the church, then all of a sudden they're blaspheming the Spirit? No, because "tongues' that are mocked in this video are just as fake as the "tongues" so many Christians think they're doing now. 1 Corinthians 14 is a whole chapter the Apostle Paul wrote (inspired by the Spirit) to correct that church's use of tongues. The very things that are corrected in that chapter are still done today. Just jibberish with no doctrine and no interpreter. And since tongues is a real language, jibberish doesn't count. The reason the Playmakers can mock so many things in the African-American churches is because they are things that are done in many of them that lacks reverence for God, His Word, and His church. Read 1 Peter 1:13-16 exhorts us to be holy (set apart) for God's purposes, not to make the house of God a place of foolishness that even the unbelievers can mock. Salvation in Jesus Christ is about life and death! It's no game! Read Revelation 20:11-14 because many people are heading there that don't know the Lord, and that includes many in the church.
Time out for being religious and over sensitive. I'm a set apart. striving. spirit filled believer. This video literally made me feel better about what iam up against right now. I am feeling tired n hopeless. And i just remembered how to laugh inspite of......
If all you can say is one phrase over and over again because it's something you memorized or assembled yourself by copying something someone else said, and you embellished it a bit, using your own imagination, and it's all you can say, so you say it over and over, then it's not tongues. However, if it flows and it's not you making up the utterance (what to say) but it's given to you to say as you speak, and it has it's own kind of sound like all languages do, rest assured, it's tongues. You should know what you are doing, and what is happening. If you couldn't do it before, but now you can, and it's supernatural, and you can do it at will any time you want, and it's what you asked God for, it's speaking in tongues.
Ray...And it's totally different from what was in the Bible. No one ever asked God for it in the Bible. In fact, nothing you just said is in the Bible.
I asked my dad why it was frowned upon to really talk about it and he said you had to "tread lightly" and I've never seen someone bring this up before, thank you for pointing it out
I remember once I went to a church, and literally the whole congregation kept repeating this one phrase over and over. One person would say it, and then another, and then another, like they were tossing a ball around.
The pharisees did that too, to Jesus they saw His power and miracles and started saying "they are by the power of the devil" but then Jesus turned to them and told them about blasphemy of the Holy Spirit... Be very careful when you make fun of God's spiritual powers and gifts of the Spirit, they are VERY active today as well as they were in the past when it first happened at Pentecost in Acts. id be very careful, even with this video.... as plenty are very sincere.... and theres 2 tongues(1 for evangelists(which allows you to talk to people in a foreign language) and 1 for prayer language) the one you are making fun of is from the Holy Spirit... careful..... the way you worded it, sounded like you were attacking the gifts of the spirit as a whole and not pointing out "fake" but rather mixing fake with real and making fun of them both.
Answer: Praying in the Spirit is mentioned three times in Scripture. First Corinthians 14:15 says, “So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.” Ephesians 6:18 says, “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Jude 20 says, “But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.” So, what exactly does it mean to pray in the Spirit? The Greek word translated “pray in” can have several different meanings. It can mean “by means of,” “with the help of,” “in the sphere of,” and “in connection to.” Praying in the Spirit does not refer to the words we are saying. Rather, it refers to how we are praying. Praying in the Spirit is praying according to the Spirit’s leading. It is praying for things the Spirit leads us to pray for. Romans 8:26 tells us, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” Some, based on 1 Corinthians 14:15, equate praying in the Spirit with praying in tongues. Discussing the gift of tongues, Paul mentions “pray with my spirit.” First Corinthians 14:14 states that when a person prays in tongues, he does not know what he is saying, since it is spoken in a language he does not know. Further, no one else can understand what is being said, unless there is an interpreter (1 Corinthians 14:27-28). In Ephesians 6:18, Paul instructs us to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.” How are we to pray with all kinds of prayers and requests and pray for the saints, if no one, including the person praying, understands what is being said? Therefore, praying in the Spirit should be understood as praying in the power of the Spirit, by the leading of the Spirit, and according to His will, not as praying in tongues. ----------------------------------What is praying in tongues? Is praying in tongues a prayer language between a believer and God?As a background, please read our article on the gift of speaking in tongues. There are four primary Scripture passages that are cited as evidence for praying in tongues: Romans 8:26; 1 Corinthians 14:4-17; Ephesians 6:18; and Jude verse 20. Ephesians 6:18 and Jude 20 mention "praying in the Spirit." However, tongues as a prayer language is not a likely interpretation of "praying in the Spirit." Romans 8:26 teaches us, "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." Two key points make it highly unlikely that Romans 8:26 is referring to tongues as a prayer language. First, Romans 8:26 states that it is the Spirit who "groans," not believers. Second, Romans 8:26 states that the "groans" of the Spirit "cannot be expressed." The very essence of speaking in tongues is uttering words. That leaves us with 1 Corinthians 14:4-17 and verse 14 especially: "For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful." First Corinthians 14:14 distinctly mentions "praying in tongues." What does this mean? First, studying the context is immensely valuable. First Corinthians chapter 14 is primarily a comparison/contrast of the gift of speaking in tongues and the gift of prophecy. Verses 2-5 make it clear that Paul views prophecy as a gift superior to tongues. At the same time, Paul exclaims the value of tongues and declares that he is glad that he speaks in tongues more than anyone (verse 18). Acts chapter 2 describes the first occurrence of the gift of tongues. On the day of Pentecost, the apostles spoke in tongues. Acts chapter 2 makes it clear that the apostles were speaking in a human language (Acts 2:6-8). The word translated "tongues" in both Acts chapter 2 and 1 Corinthians chapter 14 is glossa which means "language." It is the word from which we get our modern English word "glossary." Speaking in tongues was the ability to speak in a language the speaker does not know, in order to communicate the gospel to someone who does speak that language. In the multicultural area of Corinth, it seems that the gift of tongues was especially valuable and prominent. The Corinthians believers were able to better communicate the gospel and God's Word as a result of the gift of tongues. However, Paul made it abundantly clear that even in this usage of tongues, it was to be interpreted or "translated" (1 Corinthians 14:13, 27). A Corinthian believer would speak in tongues, proclaiming God's truth to someone who spoke that language, and then that believer, or another believer in the church, was to interpret what was spoken so that the entire assembly could understand what was said. What, then, is praying in tongues, and how is it different than speaking in tongues? First Corinthians 14:13-17 indicates that praying in tongues is also to be interpreted. As a result, it seems that praying in tongues was offering a prayer to God. This prayer would minister to someone who spoke that language, but would also need to be interpreted so that the entire body could be edified. This interpretation does not agree with those who view praying in tongues as a prayer language. This alternate understanding can be summarized as follows: praying in tongues is a personal prayer language between a believer and God (1 Corinthians 13:1) that a believer uses to edify himself (1 Corinthians 14:4). This interpretation is unbiblical for the following reasons: 1) How could praying in tongues be a private prayer language if it is to be interpreted (1 Corinthians 14:13-17)? 2) How could praying in tongues be for self-edification when Scripture says that the spiritual gifts are for the edification of the church, not the self (1 Corinthians 12:7). 3) How can praying in tongues be a private prayer language if the gift of tongues is a "sign to unbelievers" (1 Corinthians 14:22)? 4) The Bible makes it clear that not everyone possesses the gift of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:11, 28-30). How could tongues be a gift for self-edification if not every believer can possess it? Do we not all need to be edified? Some understand praying in tongues to be a "secret code language" that prevents Satan and his demons from understanding our prayers and thereby gaining an advantage over us. This interpretation is unbiblical for the following reasons: 1) The New Testament consistently describes tongues as a human language. It is unlikely that Satan and his demons are unable to understand human languages. 2) The Bible records countless believers praying in their own language, out loud, with no concern of Satan intercepting the prayer. Even if Satan and/or his demons hear and understand the prayers we pray, they have absolutely no power to prevent God from answering the prayers according to His will. We know that God hears our prayers, and that fact makes it irrelevant whether Satan and his demons hear and understand our prayers. What do we say, then, about the many Christians who have experienced praying in tongues and find it to be very personally edifying? First, we must base our faith and practice on Scripture, not experience. We must view our experiences in light of Scripture, not interpret Scripture in light of our experiences. Second, many of the cults and world religions also report occurrences of speaking in tongues/praying in tongues. Obviously the Holy Spirit is not gifting these unbelieving individuals. So, it seems that the demons are able to counterfeit the gift of speaking in tongues. This should cause us to compare even more carefully our experiences with Scripture. Third, studies have shown how speaking/praying in tongues can be a learned behavior. Through hearing and observing others speak in tongues, a person can learn the procedure, even subconsciously. This is the most likely explanation for the vast majority of instances of speaking/praying in tongues among Christians. Fourth, the feeling of "self-edification" is natural. The human body produces adrenaline and endorphins when it experiences something new, exciting, emotional, and/or disconnected from rational thought. Praying in tongues is most definitely an issue on which Christians can respectfully and lovingly agree to disagree. Praying in tongues is not what determines salvation. Praying in tongues is not what separates a mature Christian from an immature Christian. Whether or not there is such a thing as praying in tongues as a personal prayer language is not a fundamental of the Christian faith. So, while we believe the biblical interpretation of praying in tongues leads away from the idea of a private prayer language for personal edification, we also recognize that many who practice such are our brothers and sisters in Christ and are worthy of our love and respect.
I have copied and pasted this to study for myself later. I appreciate you being respectful in articulating your way of understanding what scripture says.

Nice...nice..I respect all you had to say

This is a funny way of bringing up a good point. Biggest thing for me is, if there are so many tongues speakin, where are the interpreters????
+Yoshi Kaggwa-Kasaato here is the joke, but you're right where there are tongues I have never witnessed an interpreter, which is sciptual.

Robocop, Los Angeles, Idris Elba, EBT?! Lol 😂 Sudoku and Edgar Allen Poe too. I swear I heard "EBT salami"
This was hilarious! The whole point of Speaking in tongues was to speak the biblical Word of God in other earthly human languages so that other countries can understand the gospel in their own native language.
So many people are ignorant to this !!!!!
I'm so done. I thought "he's-coming-in-a-hyundai" was enough when people tried it. You guys have me hollering.
Romans 8:26
obviously
It means speaking in a different language, not gibberish
I heard, "ohhhh, lana shalla skittle skittle wo yeh" one day. I was through. LOL
lots of people may be playing.. but there are some who are really uttering under the power... things of the spirit seem like foolishness to natural mind... Im just saying... lets not just make it all a joke...
amen. God is not amused!.making fun of Gods spirit is very dangerous!!!
Are demons not able to cause a person to speak tongues as well? I mean, they can mimic so many other things.

Idris Elba and Edgar Allan Poe. LMAO!!!
I went to a church and this guy admitted to speaking fake tongues lol. And he was a prophet! Lol he said "Somebody stole my Hyundai!" XD XD XD
The point is that there are a whole lotta FAKEs in Church...This was too funny, to to funny!! According the the Word: "If anyone speaks in a tongue, two-or at the most three-should speak, one at a time, and someone MUST (emphasis added) interpret." (NIV)
Sorry I forgot to quote the Chapter and Verse 1 Corinthians 14:27
That's the truth.
Yes it's a disgrace. Tongues are real languages. That's why u need an interrupter, someone who understands the language, without an interpreter it's pointless.
In the next verse (1 Cor 14:28), it says: "But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God." (KJV)
Take note: the church, in this context, implies speaking publicly while "to himself and to God" is that which happens when you have communion with God (one-to-one/personal prayer session).
This buttresses 1 Cor 14:2 which says: "For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit." (NIV)
In other words, it is not forbidden to speak in tongues without having an understanding of what you are saying.

Patricia shut up dude

Best video on tongues EVER!! I can't stop laughing.

I asked my dad why it was frowned upon to really talk about it and he said you had to "tread lightly" and I've never seen someone bring this up before, thank you for pointing it out

you guys are funniest
Speaking gibberish is not a gift of the Holy Spirit - speaking in different LANGUAGES is. Go read Acts chapter 2
We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.”
Some, based on 1 Corinthians 14:15, equate praying in the Spirit with praying in tongues.
Ephesians 6:18 and Jude 20 mention "praying in the Spirit." However, tongues as a prayer language is not a likely interpretation of "praying in the Spirit."
Romans 8:26 teaches us, "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
So, while we believe the biblical interpretation of praying in tongues leads away from the idea of a private prayer language for personal edification, we also recognize that many who practice such are our brothers and sisters in Christ and are worthy of our love and respect.
false doctrine
I have copied and pasted this to study for myself later. I appreciate you being respectful in articulating your way of understanding what scripture says.
