- In this DCS F-15E Strike Eagle video, we will talk about the aircraft PACS or programmable armement control system. This system provide and interface with all the aircraft weapons to the pilot. Part 3 will cover the rearmament window and how to program the system after a rearm.
More videos soon. - Hry
2023 the half year of the eagle :)
So many options, so much learning... so much fun!
Impressive level of detail. Keep up the good work
Always love a strike eagle tutorial
Great vid, thx, Can't wait for this Module
Weapons guy here! Happy to see PACS looks just like I remember it
Man I'm looking forward to this module more than any other ever. Even pre-ordered it first week! ... ... ...
Thanks for the info! Looking forward to using that information when I'll be able to fly and make mission in the editor with the F-15E Strike Eagle. I like how in the mission editor, it doesn't allow loadouts that would not work in real life (as in your example that 6 CBU-87s on the CFTs won't load with wing fuel tanks). I also like how entering the info in the cockpit after a rearm by the crewchief seems to work well with the logic of what I saw in your other PACS videos. It could just be me, but the logic of the F-15E seems more user-friendly than when rearming the A-10C II module on the ground. In any case, I can see that Razbam are working hard to deliver an accurate simulation for the F-15E.
The F15E is impressive, very impressive, well done, Razban
Woh!! Can't wait for Early Access release 🦅
Fantastic. Can't wait for Early Access release.
Imagine a flight of them rippling those 97's across the length and width of an airfield 😂
At this point, it shouldn’t be early access - it should be full release.
@@EbonySeraphim 😂all planes many years later are still "early access" if you ask me, but i dont disagree with you. Im expecting dcs to use new terms in the future such as "pre early access" or "beta participant" or "UAT" user acceptance testing etc.🙄😅😒
@@EbonySeraphim😅 Welcome to DCS world
@@EbonySeraphimit's early access because not all the planned release features are in. There are a number of systems still being developed, so it's not considered release level yet.
That's how all software development works.
I was just taking a tour of 88 -1690 when they came TDY up to Pease ANGB for the last few weeks.
The station numbers reflect that in the Mission Editor we look towards the aircraft front to tail (mirrored station numbering) so what you load shows on the wing you look at. Sitting in the aircraft and looking tail to front the station numbers should match real life and most important show correct on the PACS... But it's one of these things that took me forever to get in my head. 😂
Thanks NotSo!!...As Always!!! ;}
Thanks! I couldn't see the GBU-28 listed anywhere in the editor as you were playing about?
i noticed the 3 types of GBU10, which could be confusing especially if you didnt set up the mission, is the weapons, by exact variant, recorded in the kneeboard too, like the laser codes?
@6:20 Is there any way to make the UI warn you when you're about to make an invalid choice? Having it undo previous choices on you is going to frustrate some people.
You suggestion is very valid. Having to start redoing your weapon configuration after removal would be frsutrating. A pop-up window with a text warning of loosing weapons close by when you mouse over an incompatible weapon would serve better I think too.
It would be best if this info is in the weapons list so you can eg choose "bomb" then look down the list at what won't conflict, rather than having to repeatedly try things. Something like a faint red coloured background over the conflicting options.
I read the Baltic Dragon early access user manual ver. 2023-06-14. If it helps anyone there is further information on the laser codes on page 499 of that manual. Would like to try the AAR air-to-air refueling in this plane, as every plane is a slightly different experience. Will be interesting to try different loadouts and see what is possible in the F-15E Strike Eagle. Thank you for the updates and videos.
Where is it available?
i wouldn't expect the F15's AAR to be that different from the F16s. The logic behing it is pretty much the same.
I hope we'll get a F15C as well at some point. Not a big fun of dual seaters.
Hogit load has to be a setting now
sorry for asking but how can i get the gbu´s to guide when rearming.I don´t know if its just a bug or a fixable problem
14:45 If you can't change laser codes in the air, how do you work with a JTAC or other operator who is lasing a target for you with a different code?
Also, to what does the CBU time refer? For example, if 0.95 secs is selected, what does that mean exactly?
What is the use case for timed fuzes. Really low level cbu employment?
but how do you get the names of the bombs when you spawn in a hotstarted plane on a multiplayer server? for me it just says that pylon is loaded, but not what it is loadet with
I have a question about changing the laser code. Will we get the option to change the laser code while the jet is hot or does it have to be cold ?
It can be done hot as long as the parking brake is set. On page 499 of the user manual "This can be done only with engines OFF or with engines ON and parking brake set." but the plane is not released yet, so I don't know any more than that. Hope that helps!
Wasn't the cold start the last video before release?
thank's !!! extrême !!!!!
So since pilots can be killed in the seat in DCS, is it possible to lose just one of them? What happens if with the priority option if that happens?
Learnt stuff from previous vids but forgotten it now been do long... geez
Should not be long now, since you guys released the manual on your site.
Will the loadout options on the CFTs change?
For the AI F-15E, you can control each indivdual CFT station. Will we get this option for the player aircraft as well?
That’s not realistic
2023 The wait for the Eagle
The year of video tutorials lmao we gonna be able to fly the plane in 24 December 2023
What happened to the: "Cold start video will be the last before EA"?
Will the module be coming out with LJDAMS in Early Acess or is that planned for later?
That's planned for later
When will it arrive steam ?
So gonna be a Freedom Eagle 4th release? Would be pretty 'Merica if you did!
I really hope for! no best date for an American icon to be released than 4th July! 🟦🟥⬜
Dream on they said the year of the eagle, I’d be willing to bet they’ll use the whole year
@Patrick Thornton previous video already said EA 7 23 but sure these studios appreciate so much negativity. Would rather a more stable launch than what previous modules have had
@@DoradoFever They also said 'months, not years' 4 years ago. The July date is nothing more than optimistic daydreaming, and since it comes from Razbam and not ED, it's incredibly unreliable.
@agostonbazmajer1100 a lot has change with ED too and requiring higher standards from other failed launches. The Viper should have been held back longer and with lessons learned from that the Apache was released in a lot better state. We haven't been this close before and it will be soon. You waited for this long, a little longer won't kill you.
No 9X's option?
whens the steam prerelease coming?
Why can the Lasercode be changed in flight by modules like the hornet, viper or the apache, but the F-15 is not capable of it?
In reality, laser guided bombs like Paveway, are changed PHYSICALLY by the ground crew by hand. But in DCS it depends on how each developer implements their module.
Some modules, like the Harrier and the Tomcat, DO model this correctly, by forcing you to change your laser codes on the ground.
Others, like the Viper and the Hornet, allow you to change the codes mid-flight.
Two weeks?
Either release it or give me my money back!! It's obviously good enough to release to the youtubers to show off, it's good enough to release.
When ED releases a module...that does not necesarilly apply for 3rd Party Devs
Damn bro
🥶🥶🥶
Please, release it!
in two weeks on all screens
release the damn shit
wouldn't it be cool if you could load weapons on one side of the aircraft, then click a button to fill in the pylons to match on the other side of the aircraft
[ ✅ ] symmetrical loadout
convenient, intuitive
and a time-saver
There's atleast one module I own that does symmetrical loadout not sure which one it was but it was definitely cold war mig21 bis maybe(like you put a bomb and it will add the same bomb on the symmetrical pylon on the other side)
I think the M2000c does that as well
@@ElbigEmo a lot of CW jets and warbirds in DCS do that automatically, probably related to the internals of the aircraft needing the symmetry (do not quote me on that)
@@coyoteeffect yeah, was thinking the same thing about needing symmetry
Damn is this going to be released before the F-35??? ED whatcha holding things up for???
Somone is gonna do a EX version sooner or later once, the MudHen is released lmao. wrapping your head around loadout limits, can be a little daunting, but thats whats stays true to the real aircraft
How if it’s classified?
@@RW-zn8vy by modding.
@@davidpaulsen2681 that’s not the same tho
@@RW-zn8vy kinda is, just without the classified stuff. Modded stormshadow. 16 or 20 spamraams, and maybe a ASM, to shoot down sattelites, just like the sufa.
In all honesty. I've been patient. I pre-ordered on the first day. Watching tutorials without the ability to test it on the actual plane feels like getting screwed over. And I can't understand how people praise a company for practices like that. I mean, people have gone nuts on battlefield or Ubisoft, just to name a few.
I ordered first day and am patiently waiting. I actually understood when pre ordering what that means, regardless if there are youtube videos or not. If you feel screwed over you need to look in the mirror to see who did it.
@@chipwillis good for you. I rather choose to receive a product when I pay money for it. They could have easily waited before going into presale. I am okay with a few weeks maybe a month or two.
@@ovuvuevuevueenyetuenwuevu and your point is?
@@chipwillis that this whole "pre-order" and "early access", "pre-alpha" bullshit got out of hand. Devs stopped caring about their product because people like you and me pay for it in advance. The only difference between you and me is that I actually speak up. There are hundreds of games out there that already paid off and devs stopped caring about actually finishing the product. My point is that a company has to sell a finished product. Or at least deliver it in a reasonable time frame. But you refuse to acknowledge that.
@@ovuvuevuevueenyetuenwuevu fun fact, I don’t look at it the way you do, and just because you are angry, doesn’t mean I have to be. So chill out and never pre order again would be my advice.
Can I just have it already? Bug n all, I’ll take it.
To thee guy talkingSo you werre stastioned at Nellis huh, you've flown over my house numerous times then, i live in las vegas rightbehind the base in the houses just off rnwy 03R.
What are you saying? Is there someone out there that has the patience and time to teach me all these fuckin acramins
In my experience "equally responsible" is the way to go. You're not gonna let some rando slot in there anyway.
Release this plane pls 😭
Please make it so that the f15e can equip the Turkey feathers in usaf skins.
STRIKE EAGLE WHEN???\!!!1
4th of july
@@crusader7478 or not^^
2 More weeks
Its getting annoying im ok with software launches but this is the way worse launch in DCS history
🫵🤌
i lost hope
How about you stop making videos and concentrate on finalizing the module!
Full price, half plane. Interesting!
