Cream of Mushroom Pork Chops in 20 Minutes

- Cream of mushroom pork chops is a simple and easy recipe. As stated in the title, the entire recipe can be done in about 20 minutes which makes it a great midweek recipe. Your entire family will love it, and it will be a hit with your dinner guests. It is one of my favorites.
The recipe involves pork chops seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. They are fried for 6 to 8 minutes then set aside to rest. After that, some cream of mushroom soup and chicken stock are added to the pan and brought to a boil. The pork chops are placed back in and the dish is allowed to simmer for a few minutes.
When plated and garnished with fresh parsley, the dish is simply out of the world.

Great recipe Dave, rich and creamy, i actually like to add extra mushrooms to the pan while the chops are frying before adding the cream of mushroom soup, it's a winner.
Adding mashrooms was the first thing that came to my mind. Maybe chopped onions as well fresh garlic

Fixed this for dinner tonight and it turned out amazing. Everyone loved it, even my hard to please family members, lol. I didn't have cream of mushroom soup but I had cream of celery so I used it instead and sauteed mushrooms, onion and garlic and added them to the soup. Will definitely have this again. I made this dish, but I used the champignons cooked in the pan with some slices of onion and spices and made the mushrooms cream with the minipimer, wonderful result!!

I am not a big fan of cream of mushroom soup. However, I tried this two different times, first making it with Cream of Chicken soup and added some sliced button mushrooms.
The second time I made it using Cream of Celery soup and added the sliced button mushrooms. I have to say that this was very simple to fix, went well with rice or potatoes, and was amazingly delicious!!

Try this: dry the mushrooms --> mix some olive oil and garlic --> spread over the mushrooms --> put in over or toaster oven --> toast till dark brow --> taste one! --> add to recipe. worth the effort in this situation.

If you are not fasting, you can do to pans at once, 1 with the pork chops and 1 with boneless skinless chicken breast or thighs. Just put them in some plastic wrap and pound them out to 1/2 inch or less. Then divide up your chicken stock and mushroom soup by ratio. If it's 2 chops and 2 pcs. of chicken that would be great, just 1/2 stock and 1/2 mushroom soup in each pan, it'll work, i've done that before, and they will cook at the same rate if you have the thickness of the meat the same.

Omg I made something similar, I love to come up with my own food sometimes , I used some mushroom soup and mixed it with chicken soup so it was very similar although yours was a chicken stock 😊 I added just a little bit of curry too ( my husband says he hates curry but always compliment the food he doesn’t know I add curry ) 😂😂 when I tell him he’s like okay make this again 😏

Most of my friends are afraid of Chinese curry powder and horrified of Indian curries. Sometimes I'll add touch of Turmeric [ the yellow i the curry ] to chicken broth when I'm adding it to a recipe and sometimes chicken soup. I have to be careful with balancing the spices when I use curry [ I go Chinese and Thai cuisines ] for company.

I avoid pork chops cause they are a bit too firm to chew and end up making my jaw sore.

Cook you chops less time. Then they will be tender and juicy. Our parents and grand-parents always cooked the chops to death. I cook mine to an internal temp of 140 f and let rest to come up to 145 f. Then they are tender and juicy.

My chops are tough. I have to saw through them. They're half inch loin chops. Room temp. Four to five minutes pan fried each side. They're like rubber. Tough and chewy. Any comments??
Oh no. It could have been the cut of meat or something like that. I always get mine at a butcher shop.
@@TheCooknShare Maybe that's it. Do you buy "loin" chops. I've used brine, but I'm not sure that's the best way to go. They seem to be so lean, like there's not an iota of fat in them for taste. Thanks for your reply.
Also suggest you use a thermometer and watch your cooking temps and times. Pork no longer has to be burn to old dried leather to be safe to eat. Look up the guide lines for cooking pork, you might be surprised.

Easy recipe. Here is a suggestion for the mushrooms. I always keep small cans of mushrooms on hand. Drain 'em and dry em. Brush with olive oil and garlic then put in toaster oven until toasted - dark brown. Really worth the extra effort and they go good in all sorts of recipes and will do a spectacular job added into this recipe. And I'm triggered ..... If I had the power, I would condemn anyone to the darkest depths hell buried in rotten shrimp and marinated in cheapest vile smelling fish sauce ever made for using the term Yummy!!!!!!! Ugh!!!!!! There are better adjectives to use. That's why God made the Thesaurus and Merriam Weber publishes the freakin book. Other than that, this is great simple recipe and please try my procedure with the mushrooms.
And here is an after thought, got soy sauce? If so, add a splash to the soup while its simmering.
