Nothing wrong with talking a lot but there has to be a balance between talking and 'action' or any visual context. It's not human nature that whatever he does is not good, it's just we would also like visual context while talking to attract our attention.
Thank you, I've always had trouble figuring out how power and elevation effect the curve. Now I need to get some practice in to get my masse more consistent.
Man the hate is abundant! How about we appreciate your passion for the game like most watching this video have or had at one point. Keep up the good work and continue to EXPLAIN AND EXPLAIN AGAIN!!!! I’m sure most of these people negatively commenting can’t make these shots and take it out on your channel. Like they say haters gonna hate. Keep it up bro and keep sharing the knowledge! PS if you don’t like the video buy a table buy a camera and record and post your own content that meets your standards on your own time. I’m sure you won’t so don’t knock it until you put in the work. This kid would mop most of you up point blank period!
Zip like that you actually showed us on the ball where to aim our cue stick. This is something I wish you would do in all of your videos. Many people are visual players and need to see the details of the shots.
Hey kid. Love your videos. Just a tip. When you're explaining the angle of your stick. You Need to know your degrees. You're saying 20-30°angle when it's more like 60° angle. 90° is straight up and down. 45° is right in between. So you have a good reference. Keep up the 👍 good work though. Much love RED
A guy tried this in the local Pool room growing up & he wound up ripping the S**T out of the Cloth on the Table, The owner had a fit & made him pay for the new Cloth back then it was apx $100.00 Bucks, Guess he must of took up Bowling, Because we never saw hin in the Pool Room ever again etc.
Maybe its something about him picking the cue, align the shot, then keep it back, talk more and then again pick up the cue and put it back again to talk more! Just do all the talking first and then go on to execute it!
I actually like the talk, probably for beginners is better, it gives time to really understand the physics of the spin you want to apply. Also, i really wish i could have a table i could practice onto 😢
Excellent! Would you please repeat the shot 2 or 3 times? It would really help me set up the balls just like you have them so I can practice as you do. Your teaching skills are very good!!!
i have always wanted to know how to execute these kinds of shot with effect.you are a super young man for sharing your talents. how can i pay it forward/
There are some really important things he's not explaining. I've watched a few of his videos. It's not because he doesn't want to share the info. He's making the shots, but there's a math to masse shots, for where to aim / hit the cue ball & you can do the shots he is doing differently, especially longer shots. He is doing exactly what he wants to do, but if you moved the blocking ball on him , he'd still make the shot. Masse is a great tool and takes a lot of time and practice to use effectively. I didn't use the word master, because I can't think of anything else that has more variables than a masse shot. Ball size, cloth, humidity, speed, your tip size and shape... Yes, this comes into play in all ways of playing, but masse is one of the most unreliable tools you can have, but there are many easy shots and he showed them. He did the masse after hitting the rail, that's a great one to learn. I've done jump shots off the bank / using the rail on the opposite side to jump over a ball. I ran out from the break one time down to the 8 and left the 8 ball hanging. A guy tapped his ball (played safe) and used his ball to block me and left me a straight in shot, but blocked by his ball. Kicking wasnt a great option because he had so many balls on the table. Cue ball was IDK 8 inches away from the rail at the other end and his ball was about 10. I hit the rail in the opposite direction of my 8 ball, jumped over his and put the 8 in. I did that another time and put my ball and the cue ball in. Busted a pitcher of beer behind me practicing lol
WTF is wrong with people complaining about the talking ?? It is a freaking tutorial channel. Just go and watch pro games if all you're interested in are shots !
mocheford because he’d explain the shot then line up the shot then go back to talking again and then eventually hit the ball, we want tutorials to be straight to the point. Explain it,demonstrate it and move on
@@eddieruddy3843 First of all, this is a video and you can't ask live questions. Live or video, you always want to explain what and WHY you're doing what you are when teaching and after it's seen you DO want to go over it. The kid is a good player. I think he should be talking more, because he's missing some crucial information. I left a AA 1st place team to be a captain for a team of people from work that had somewhere between 50 and 100 hours of pool in their life, but there was a catch. All 4 had to meet me on 2 off nights to practice & no matter how weird my lessons were, they had to follow them. In 3 months I took people that knew nothing about pool, got 2 of them running tables and we ended up taking 1st place the first and second season. If you want to get better at ANYTHING start teaching people, because everyone learns differently and will have stronger and weaker skills and this teaches you to think different;y and you will become a much better player. To just watch someone VS someone explaining things PROPERLY to help u learn makes a huge difference. If you don't know why and how I'm doing what I'm doing, it's gonna take you forever to learn. One of the most FOS words you'll ever hear is "Those who can't do teach" Trust me, I learned a ton from these people that knew nothing, because I never would have thought of all the different ways to get the cue ball where I wanted it, because this guy couldn't draw, but the other guy could and so on. I have trained over 600 people in many different things and when I taught people pool, they got skills in 3 months that u don't see people have in 3 years and I took MVP 5 years in a row. I was mostly self taught by one book "the 99 critical shots" which I've never seen a better book yet and one video I think by someone named Burnes. I went to work and from there I played pool at least 4 hours a day and for 3 months I never played anyone. I took 1 ball, the cue ball and a piece of paper and set up different shots with the attempt to land the cue ball on the paper. Best thing I ever did
Hey great stuff man. Keep it going. However I recently tried this on my own table but couldn't make it happen I think that my cue sticks are to big. Could you ( or anyone out there) please tell me what kind of cue sticks do you use and where could I find them online. Many Thanks
First off if your using a hard top it won't work as well you need a soft tip so that it can create more spin second 12.5 is the ideal size for masse because you have to put alot of stress on the stick so smaller sizes have a chance to shatter also it's recommended to use a carbon fiber shaft. Hope this helps wish I had more info but I'm still learning myself.
Now have a shot where you want to send the cue ball the length of the table in a straight line but then make it swerve ... Like playing from the D on a snooker table sending the cue ball in a straight line toward the pink spot and then watching the cue ball break to the left or right swerving around the pink ball? Basically a long distance late swerve shot? you cue it up as you did on the masse shot instead of striking at the back of the cue ball play it with as much top spin and you can without the cue ball running into the cue tip. Takes a lot of practice as the tip must get out of the way obviously for the white to head down the table. Try it it's impressive when you suss it out. So when looking over the cue ball from behind you'll be striking far right but the top of the cue ball rather than the bottom
Perfectly, evenly rounded. Your game can’t improve without a consistent, straight cue. The ones down the pub always affect your shot’s trajectory. With the slower shots its mostly okay, but the faster ones it throws off.
Or you can send the cue ball half the length of the table and stop it then spin it back in either direction to the left or the right, like a masse that grabs very late. All about speed and amount of spin, a good stab through the cue ball with power will see you master that shot.
Good stuff. It might help on future videos to simply take the billiards shot first, so we can better visualize the billards shot you plan to achieve, then back up and break it down, explain its component parts, and repeat the billiards shot again. I think demonstration should come before explanation. You could actually edit your existing videos to first show the successful billiards shot, then the explanation, then the same video shot of ... your billiards shot. Also, with another camera angle, show where your I-Queue is pointing. (Is it pointing to the objective ball, or the rail, or .... ) Keep up the good work.

Does it work with any cue, ball, and table? Or does it only work with a proper cue and a good table?
The closer to the center you hit the ball, the faster is going? Or it depends the force you hit the ball?
