You're absolutely right about being careful who you associate with. I worked security and I was training a new male guard. I could tell he was a good guy after working with him about a week. Then I get a call from my supervisor saying he's dead. Turns out he was hanging out with a guy that had problems with a gang. They were leaving a gas station and that gang rolled up and started shooting. He was shot in the head and the guy driving got nothing.

I think there’s always a chance for someone to beat a case, no matter how slim the odds are. That said, the fact that this guy included facts of the case that weren’t known to the public is really gonna bite him in the ass if he tries to claim that it’s just his “artistic expression”. Even though they don’t have him red-handed they still have a lot of solid circumstantial evidence that his own song corroborates, which certainly isn’t a good look.
I hope the family gets the Justice they deserve.

The only reason why I say there’s always a small chance to beat a case is because even if the prosecution has all the evidence they could still screw up the case or make a mistake that leads to a mistrial or whatever. Which I guess isn’t technically beating the case on the part of the defendant, but I think you get what I mean.
