I am familiar with the case due to having known one of the victims. It's super sad. Misty (the first mother discussed) was a business owner. She had young kids. She was striving to be successful. She held it down for her family. This happened so suddenly and left everyone absolutely shocked. Sad part is that it was only a matter of days or less before the pieces came together and everyone knew what the beef was over, yet no real solid arrest of the perpetrator was made years later.
They targeted her at her place of work. She has posted an image of her son (the rapper) on her IG , where she tagged him. Her ig account was her business account, so it had the address and location of her salon. That's how she was targeted.
All these events are related. its a chain of people getting killed and getting back at each other. So sad.

Where I grew up was pretty poor, and a bit of gang activity. But I'm real thankful that no matter what color, no matter personal issues, for the most part all the parents kept it out. Nobody was friendly to that shit. If the kids had a real problem, it was hands and nothing else. I seen my 3rd grade bully when I was 16 and he was still doin the same shit, he was the same size and I was just graduated from a military school, 6'4 and 200lbs.
