- Bonnie Raitt live in 1976 singing "I'm Blowin' Away" written by Eric Kaz.
Personally, I always preferred Bonnie's version over Linda's. I love Bonnie as a singer, as well as Linda, but I felt Bonnie was always better :)
Hardly anything can beat a young Bonnie Raitt or Linda Ronstadt.
This song, and her effortlessly soulful rendition of it just kills me.
I've seen Bonnie raitt 18 times over the years... every recording of hers. There is no one I'd rather listen to. Thank you Bonnie. ❤
Just a stupendous song sung by one of the finest female singerd
I have seen Bonnie like 4 times live. God I wish I can do 10 times!!!!
Superb. I bought her first album because of this song after watching her on Whistle Test.
This song makes me think of my sister. I lose her 20 years ago. This song is all about her life. love you Susan.
This was the first song I ever heard Bonnie sing, I loved it then and still love it now, in fact it reduces me to tears. Still love Bonnie & Linda. Bought all her albums as they came along, all down to this stunning song, thank you Eric.
Eric, this is indescribably beautiful. If this was the only song you ever wrote, a monument should be built to you. A million thanksyous foir your beauty.
This is a lovely version, but the killer is Bonnie with Linda Ronstadt. Until the next comes along!
I agree...who is this guy Eric Kaz?...this is stunning..he also wrote Love Has No Pride
Best and only singer of this song XXX
Cmon reallly?
Joan Baez does a great version.
how did this great song did not get more recognition?
sue robinson . It did when Linda Ronstadt recorded it.
I rate Linda Ronstadt very highly, but in my opinion, Bonnie nails this song in a way that Linda doesn't. When I first heard this, I rushed out and bought the album Home Plate on which this appears.
Homeplate is my favorite album of all time ❤
There’s a video here on Tube of Bonnie and Linda singing this as a duet at a benefit for Lowell George. The audio isn’t great but their singing together is absolutely stunning.
This is Bonnie's song, but "Love Has No Pride" is Linda's. 😊😊
Bonnie and Linda duetting this song is awesome.
Thanks for writing this amazing song, Eric! I love Bonnie's version!
Love her-this song especially-many memories and many years ago!
I didn't know this beautiful song, Eric, until I watched Bonnie and her father sing it in the video from their Boston Pops performance. It made me cry. I like Bonnie's version best, too, but love the one with her father. I miss my daddy, who died way too young. Thanks for this lovely, sad song.
such a class act
❤ let me cry friends, 😊 Bonnie and Eric
So amzing. Thanks Bonnie.
❤️ the basis for a musical call to my younger soul, this is and this still is
Most intensive song Bonny. Who are you, making such a song. Angel to me, warming my heart ❤️ thank you. Alexander.
Lovell sisters did a cover of this song and they were amazing
Roger that !
Great song!
Have always loved this soul-touching song. Thank you for writing it.
Wow.
a favorite. so glad to find it here. thank you so much for posting it.
Bonnie I love you❣️ this song is my favorite!
"But love is blind,
cannot find
me"
I prefer this version -- Linda too often seems to be belting songs that shouldn't be belted, and this song is one of those. Beautiful song, Eric Kaz. Her duet with her father makes me cry. I miss my dad.
Gail Williams . Bonnie’s version is weak. Linda put this song on the map.
This is a quiet conversation/ personal retrospection song, and Bonnie's interpretation is 100% right.
This was filmed in 1976, pre-dating Linda's 1979.
the best
Her version with Linda Ronstadt is a classic
Love this song
Love this but her duet with her father even more.
I saw her in Manchester about ten years ago . I was desperately hoping that she would play thus but she played predominantly blues numbers
my moms favorite
Linda for me!
Cher did a great version as well in the mid 90s
I saw this on the Whistle test
Still prefer the Linda and Bonnie version.
Linda was Great on this, but I think Bonnie owned it. js
Is that Warren Zevon on keyboard?
I wondered about that also.
I was scrolling through the comments wondering the same thing.
graig doerge
make that craig doerge
Agreed. Bonnie Raitt's version on "Home Plate" is way better. The instrumentation on LR's version is very weak. Bonnie's phrasing is way better, too. Great arrangement on B's version.
Frederick Aiese . Bonnie’s version is weak and boring.
Plus it has Jackson Browne and Emmylou Harris on backup vocal
Linda and Bonnie duet absolutely nailed it
UwU❤
Softer, tender... Louise from her is better than linda's too.
Bonnie is sui generis.
I prefer Joan Baez's version over others
