I listened to this is how you lose the time war, and I think that was the wrong way to go into it because I don’t feel I full grasped what was going on.
Can’t wait to read one flew over the cuckoos nest.
    Great video as always 💕

I struggled at the start with all of the sci-Fi (borderline magical) nature and abilities of the two protagonists and the whole world. I kinda gave up trying to work the logic out and just tried to enjoy the tone and the mood. It shone then.

Beautiful spot! I love the outdoor format. This is my first time visiting your channel - MJ sent me! I will return! Best of luck on Booktube!

@@BeyondBooks-wt5il Hey, thanks a million, the outdoor format may not be sustainable once I get past what we call summer here in Wales 😁

Great wrap up. Rebecca is one of my faves and I absolutely loved The Trees. Going to check out some others of your recommendations 😊

@@Maeve_Ever_Books thanks, I was pretty lucky with my choices this year, I suppose a good starting point was reading things that plenty of people have said was good. 😊

You should check out Sometimes A Great Notion, it's a much harder book to read than Cuckoo's Nest because there is a lot of stream of consciousness and it's chunky, but it's his masterpiece. It was my favourite book when I was a teenager.

Cuckoo’s Nest was my first Kesey book but I’ll definitely go for another.
By the way, on your recommendation I’m about halfway through A Morbid Taste for Bones. Really enjoying it, good shout.

Excellent list mate! I really need to give Slaughterhouse Five a re-read. The only Dickens I ever enjoyed was A Tale Of Two Cities. Rebecca has been on my tbr for ages, need to pick it up one day. One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest is another to seek out, I loved the movie. Nurse Ratchett is a chilling antagonist. 📚📚

Thanks man 😁 Louise Fletcher as Nurse Ratchet really is one one cinemas best villains. She just exudes a calm malevolence.

Thanks mate and commiserations. It’s been a hell of a tour. Rugby is so much more interesting when the northern hemisphere teams can compete with the southern. Let’s see if we can get revenge on the kiwis in November 😁🤞

@@TheBookThing Absolutely! I do think we were well off the pace in the first half and that we need to make use of our opportunities. Ireland Defense was immense and translated pressure into points which was the difference, in my opinion. Good luck in November. I do think Ireland need more depth to be a force to be reckoned with.

@CliffsDarkGems hey, with a country our size and Rugby being the 4th or 5th most popular sport it’s amazing to me how much above our weight we’re able to punch.
