@@bhanwarlal2007 lemme give you explanation. These are few points why airtel xstream is best for now-
      1. It's google certified box. So you can get play store and casting features.
      2. It has has better ui options. Also it is true hybrid you get to watch live tv so it's more production ready not like half baked product.
      3. I am using Airtel xstream wifi also so my monthly rental comes around 1300 rupees which gives me 3 TB data at 100 mbps(which is enough to watch 2-3 full hd video simultaneously without buffering).
      3. To use app you need to have active dth connection. So there is 1300 plan for one year where you get ncf (network capacity fee) covered. Now monthly rental gets around 1412 rupees.
      4. You get Amazon prime and lots of airtel xstream content free of cost.
      5. You can easily install any live tv app and watch live tv through internet.
      6. It has google assistant. This one is major differentiating factor.
      7. It's and android tv os while jio setup box is android aosp based.( Search internet for difference).

    This video should be updated.
    1. My TV+ app has lots of channels as I can see, most of channels are there what people watch nowadays.
    2. Now it has Netflix and Amazon prime apps
    3. There is a setting to set 1080p now.
    4. Jio fiber plans provide 3300 GB per month not 100 Gigs, not sure what kind of plan you had for this video. I don't think people would run out 3.3 TB a month even with STB if played at 1080p.
    5. It also provides movies and shows not just live TV.
    6. Live TV seems not needed at all as the most channels are there in TV+ app.
    7. Now the remote has dedicated buttons for Disney+, CZcams, Voot and Netflix.
    8. Voice search is okay and works pretty fine.
    9. Jio store is still has very few apps, however a bit more than showed in this video. It is still restricted.

Yes, in Chennai too, Hathway and ACT are cost worthy than Jio comparing the speed and data volume. It has to be pointed out that Jio TV+ (plus) app they've given is actually Jio TV- (minus) because it doesn't show live channels as Jio TV app on mobile does. The set-top box cannot be considered as a great gift just because it's given free. It is rightly pointed out in this video that it is a data "consumer."

@@ManasChachra yeah that's the downpoint. It's only for those who want to save some money and at the same time compromise with the easiness that DTH provides. Btw currently I pay rupees 500 per month for Airtel digital TV and watch only news and English HD channels... and I'm planning to buy an LG oled TV and get a Wi-Fi connection of minimum 60mbps... So now my plan is after buying a new tv ( as my current one is old sony bravia led ) and getting the broadband connection I'll remove the HD channels from my Airtel DTH ala-carte and leave only the free news channels for my father to watch ( that way I think maybe I can reduce my monthly dth bill to 150 to 200 rupees from 500) and at the same watch those HD channels from some OTT app. So can I use both DTH (only for news for my father) and Amazon fire TV (for me to watch hd movie channels) at the same time ? Will it be a good decision? Thanks.

    • @ManasChachra

Go for it , u wont regret it.
U wud be amazed by how much content u were missing since all these days. But my advice is if u are getting a new tv. Then consider getting an android tv, that way u wont need to buy firetv stick.

Sir just a request, in today's 2020 there are so many players in the market like Jio, Airtel Xtream etc etc and common people are highly confused regarding their features, the differences and similarities so if u can make a video comparing all the major options available in the market like firestick, Jio Setup box, Airtel Xtream etc it will be a boom to the public in making a correct choice! No proper systematic video is available on youtube regarding this as of now!

@geekyranjit Amazon Prime video, Netflix, Sony LIV, CZcams and YupTV are working flawlessly on my Samsung Smart TV (2015 model). I never faced any issues related to buffering and lagging. Although I have a 100Mbps connection but hardware also matters. We can't accept performance like Smart TV's with these 'cheap' hybrid set-top-boxes and fire sticks. If these set-top-boxes do what Smart TV does then who will purchase Smart TV's?
They are like 'Maruti 800 mai BMW ka engine lagana' 😅 CheapHardware

A box has more space to put in high end components compared to a TV. Set top boxes are only relevant because they allow you to watch TV channels. Smart TVs are expensive because they have a display which costs more than a plastic box.

As of today I can confirm that voice recognition on tv works really well. They have added amazon prime. They have quite a few live channels as well. If you don't watch a lottttt of cable yv and are interested in ott or you watch a mix of both, this one is for you. Aldo their data cap has increased considerably but the thing is they can chnage that whenever they want like they did with jio sim cards
