A box has more space to put in high end components compared to a TV. Set top boxes are only relevant because they allow you to watch TV channels. Smart TVs are expensive because they have a display which costs more than a plastic box.

Although I have a 100Mbps connection but hardware also matters. We can't accept performance like Smart TV's with these 'cheap' hybrid set-top-boxes and fire sticks. If these set-top-boxes do what Smart TV does then who will purchase Smart TV's?
They are like 'Maruti 800 mai BMW ka engine lagana' 😅 CheapHardware
A box has more space to put in high end components compared to a TV. Set top boxes are only relevant because they allow you to watch TV channels. Smart TVs are expensive because they have a display which costs more than a plastic box.
Jio set top box is useless if you have a good Smart TV. Flimsy plastic remote and trying voice recognition feature is like talking to a 100 year old granny who uses hearing aids
"That" is your favourite word. Thaaata
Thaats correct 😀
To cut the long story short: it is KACHRA! Please pin this to the top so people can save their time. Thanks Ranjit.
Lucky I saw this video, I was assuming it's a replacement for cable/ dish tv connection and was about to disconnect act fibre net cnxn in Chennai.. 🙏🏼
Thop TV installed on my android tv is a proper replacement of cable tv.
brother thanks a lot for this video,
ACT HYDERABAD is good,
I thought I would replace 3 floors TV for 3 family WiFi jio broadband
, its BIG NO to jio,
Mister AmbanisJe has to implement his jio mind according to Indian family standards not American standard setup.
Idk which version is of setup box he has ,, the one i have is older and also plays cable TV channels .
And i can say that its worth it
Sir Your Reviews are always Unbiased. Best review on Jio fiber. Thank you Sir.
Thank you very much for this video. I am feeling glad now that I surrendered my jio optic fiber connection.
amazon fire tv stic is best , where i use two apps for everything like live tv , movies , series , THOPTV , OREO TV
Since how long are you using these two? Are their any security vulnerability? And any chance of damage in fire tv stick?
Firestick is the top notch. I have the Chromecast 4k, Android TV 4k and Firestick4k. Firststick is best in quality and sound. HDR and deep blacks are simply superb . Even Chromecast not upto that level.
Fire tv stick is better
@@narutokunn me is apk ko 3 months se use kar raha hu apne mi smart tv me aur kaam chal jata hai hd channel hai acha experience hai use karke dekho
I removed my jio fibre connection as the range of wifi was very weak
you should by good router.
Thanks for the video - a very honest review - just one question - if there’s a smart phone and Chromecast - how much more does the set top box offer - because whatever apps it’s playing are all Chromecast compatible - then what different is the set top box offering ?
Bhai tv meen Kain sare apps chrome cast se nahi chalte 😂
Is Jio giving only home internet as wifi modem ? Without the TV part.
Yes
As of today I can confirm that voice recognition on tv works really well. They have added amazon prime. They have quite a few live channels as well. If you don't watch a lottttt of cable yv and are interested in ott or you watch a mix of both, this one is for you. Aldo their data cap has increased considerably but the thing is they can chnage that whenever they want like they did with jio sim cards
Which plan have you opted for? Whats the data cap they are providing?
But it's very expensive .... 😢
I don't think so🤔
@@dhruvdesai1910 it's above 1K per month and 200GB Per month
@@ShivamSingh-bw9rt yup. With Subscription membership also. You can forget to count this in prize
@@dhruvdesai1910Do you have connection of it?
But you'll get member ship for one month only and lots of content already available online.
No Netflix, No Amazon prime you also can't side load apps.
Only hotstar have good content other apps are of no use.
I have jio sim also so watching jio TV is not a big deal for me.
It eats data in good qty
200GB data isn't enough people also connect their mobile phones these days software updates are of 2 to 3GB.

jio fiber launched new plan of 399 they say its truly unlimited is it? or not?
Fire TV stick
With JioTV + ThopTV
Is an replacement 😂

In Amazon fire stick I can watch all cable channels for free with file linked and app store and I can watch jio TV Airtel tv apps and other app also
How?????
Can u elaborate about Airtel tv and jio tv
I have Smart Three Smart TVs. Which one should I go for? Jio or Airtel DTH? Understand Jio with one package covers only one TV. As in provides only one box which can operate one TV.
*Very Expensive!* 😔
3rd class jio fiber plan's
Better buy Airtel xtream and take unlimited data plan.
I cancelled my jiofiber connection, they came and took the box few hours ago. Subbed for a local broadband now.
Why.... Explain please
I'm working for Reliance Jio
If personally I'm saying - One day it's best in the market because company continue works on it believe me
And I'm unsatisfied from company
Because there are too many presher etc
Can you tell me when can we get the cable connection? I already have a tatasky set top box. Can we maintain both of these at the same time?
Aliance broadband have good unlimited plans with no data cap rather like jio fiber even you will not able to watch a full match in hd with the data cap they have.
I have a doubt since you connected set top box to a smart tv (oneplus). So what is the process of turning on of device. I think first TV boots up then we need to select set top box HDMI port or does it completely remove TV UI
Excuse me sir did you just connect your smart box with your modem using ethernet cable
Plzz reply bro
Absolutely bang on analysis. Thanks Ranjeet.Superb and honest as always.
Is there any additional benefit in running set up box via ethernet or wifi ?
Much needed explanation... this product is not worth the money right now
Hello sir, I've two queries regarding ACT Fiber connection
1) does ACT fiber broadband provide Open NAT type for online multiplayer gaming
2) do they unblock common ports so that a web developer can host a server?
And if possible please do a review of ACT Fiber connection.
Wonder how you liked the remote
