Wisconsin woman Alana Hadley adopted her kitten Ares from a local Door County animal shelter in early 2018. But, alas, something just wasn’t right from the start. Indeed, no matter how much Alana tried to comfort the little kitty, he would meow all day until he finally dropped off to sleep at night. Before long, though, the human mom had a feeling she knew what her boy was trying to tell her…
Alana works as a photographer and lives with her partner, Nathan, in the small city of Sturgeon Bay, WI. In fact, at the time of writing, the couple are expecting a baby together. But in January 2018, they decided to expand their family early. Already acting as mom and dad to a dog called Sisko, they set their hearts on a feline companion. Consequently, the animal lovers took themselves across town to the Wisconsin Humane Society Door County Campus rescue center. That is where the Hadleys met a little ball of fluff called Ares.
The four-month-old ginger kitten had been taken in by the animal shelter with his gray sister, Aphrodite, after the strays had been found in late 2017. Initially, a smitten Alana had wanted to scoop up both kittens and take them home. Sadly, however, this was not to be. Aphrodite, it turned out, had already been adopted and was just waiting for her new parents to pick her up. So Alana left the center with just Ares. Nonetheless, she was delighted with her new kitty.

Always ask if a cat has a sibling or best friend...They really grieve like us...
100%
Could not agree more. In our infinite wisdom (animal lovers) to get them all adopted, i beg you, please don't overlook this.
@@torim1233 , Thank you ♥️. I can sense your deep feeling on the subject. I feel that people will still overlook this subject, because when they “buy” a kitten, or a dog, they’re using their emotional brain, not their rational mind. It’s going to take some serious human evolution, before ppl understand. I really do think ppl are looking for a toy to provide them entertainment, rather than a true life companion. They don’t fully realise they are dealing with a living, intelligent, sentient being. I get pi$$ed off seeing all the sad videos online, of ppl ‘tormenting’ their cats and dogs, under the guise of ‘playfulness’ for entertainment purposes. And my other bugbear is the commercial pet food industry, which churns out tonnes of toxic rubbish, under the name of pet food. It mostly contains unnatural carbs, the entrails of slaughtered livestock, and remains of euthanased pets, with toxic chemicals added for long shelf life. The ultra high heating process ensures that toxic compounds are created as a result. And ppl wonder why their pets get fat, acquire chronic diseases and chronic pain, prematurely. In my opinion, feeding animals all that rubbish, is abuse. If ppl fed their kids the same way, they’d be put under investigation for neglect. It takes determination, intelligence and courage to feed your animal companion correctly, according to their biological needs. Nobody needs to be perfect of course ! We all struggle through life in one way or another, however we DO need to make time to do our due diligence, and research . And also, great pre-prepared products are now available in specialty stores, to provide our animals with great nutrition. Thanks again 👍
@@ucanleaveyourhaton
Yes that is correct and I do agree with everything you said but those safe products are usually very expensive
People who can afford it *usually* barley ever pay attention to their pets at all and would basically have someone else take care of it and the people who can't could end up giving up their pet just because of that reason
Either way it could still be painful for the pet
@@ILovePanta123 I disagree with your comment. "people who can afford it usually... [don't] pay attention to their pets. First of all this is an all encompassing remark. Do you know everyone who "can afford it?" You're watching too much Paris Hilton and the like. Not everyone with money does this. What is really the true statement, and this yell is for all stupid humans out there, poverty-stricken and rich, DO NOT GET ANY PET UNLESS YOU HAVE PLANNED IT AND HAVE TAKEN TIME. You must see if you can afford it, look into the costs of an animal medical plan. Make sure your home is safe and ready. Consider if you have children. The list goes on. But to blatantly slap a label on people who have money is just rude. And this is coming from a disabled vet with low income and I waited 2 years to get my kitties.
Awww! This had me in tear's! I am a twin adopted at birth too. And my parents were the only ones who said, "Yes, to twins". We were on a long list of people who wanted to adopt only one child, not two. The Agency said to my parents, "if you don't adopt the two babies, we will have to separate them!" My parents said, "Yes, we are able to adopt both children, please don't separate them!" And they did! As I got married and had children, we went down to the animal shelter and went to save and adopt a kitten. We found out that the kitty we fell in love with, also had a sibling! I said without hesitation, "yes, we will save and adopt both, we will absolutely not separate them!" It was a beautiful feeling to unconsciously "DO" the same thing that my parents had done whilst I was a baby! Please, never separate siblings! Xx
Still there is people who says that animals dont have feelings... They have no clue! Animals DO have feelings!
The ones who say that have feelings, but BAD feelings
Those people are blind or crazy,lol.. Dogs have as many emotions as a human..more even then monkeys I think. Kittys too, Jelousey included, hurt feelings, and they smile !!
@@alisalauzon6454 how many monkeyd have you owned?
NikEdw70 A
+ NikEdw70: Mammals and birds have, but not the less evoluted animals (reptiles (including dinosaurs) , fishs, insects, etc...) , because affection depends on some parts of the brain they have not developed. (Nevertheless, they are able to feel well or bad, then you must not make them suffer.)
People don't realize the strong bonds cats form. It's part of their species.
Yep
I have a strong bond with cats...it's part of my species as well.
I have a cat named snuggles a tabby when we went to pick him up from the shelter I met his brother and the caretaker asked if I wanted him too and I said 1 is enough right now but I think today a year later if I should have but he was 7 months old and they did separate him so not to cause anxiety and he fits right in at my home great comfort for my wife who is suffering with cancer during the day he is with her and at night I’m playing with him till he gets bored what a life he has
So glad to know about this strong cat bond although it is too late 4 2 cats I rescued from the street
i bond with my 2 twice or thrice everyday
We went to the shelter to get a kitten, we ended up with two because they arrived together and didn't want to separate them
Karen Menard they’re called “bonded pairs”. Very common with strays from one litter but sometimes they bond at a later introduction. It’s a beautiful testimony of the nature of cats.
i ended up with "package deal" kittens from a "their mama kind of adopted ME" situation, and one of the reasons was they were already pretty bonded. (the *major* reason was that at the time we met, while they weren't *vicious*, they were so contact skittish that even the local feral crew were "unadoptable, plus everybody in the area with kitten fostering/socialization experience is full". that sounded suspiciously like "if you try to surrender BAD THINGS may happen", and i was "i guess i have kittens now". it took a while of babbling at them and letting them make the majority of the physical moves, but i get kitten snuggles now, so it was more than worth it.)
👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊God bless you💖
Karen Menard a
Total nonsense. You should NOT have been forced to do that.
THESE TWO SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN SEPARATED TO BEGIN WITH. THANKFULLY THERE ARE SOME SMART LOVING PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO CATS. A VIDEO WITH A HAPPY ENDING. THANK YOU!!!!
I always adopted siblings or close shelter buddies. The ones who sleep together and are always looking for their buddies. I adopted two brothers, but two years later the one brother passed away from congestive heart failure. I had a Veterinarian Cardiologist to check him out. The news was devastating. He was born with it. After a few trips to the oxygen tent, he was getting worse. I had to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge. His brother cried day and night, looking in every room and checking their “quiet space”. After a week, he was depressed. So, I went and adopted a brother and sister. The brother looked just like Dexter (they were both tuxedos). It took a couple days, but Dagan accepted them both.
So, yes, they know that someone is missing, and they grieve over the loss. I always said, “you can’t only have one cat”!!
I love tuxedo cats....they are so beautiful
I hope one day to cross the rainbow Bridge and see all my friends again
Did you see the video of the cat who cries piteously every time his owner leaves his house even to take the dog out..
It was such a heart breaking video to watch

I am so glad the kittens were reunited!
Five years ago my daughter got two kittens, each at around seven weeks. Those two boys love the hell out of each other. The younger is like the older ones' protector despite being only two months apart in age.. It's the sweetest thing to witness.
Update two months later: A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to find two grownup cats (sisters three years apart in age) at the local shelter. They had been there nearly a year. Age and shyness made them less attractive to most potential adopters. They live with me now, so I can remind them every day that they are perfect!
Shelter personnel needs to be aware of the animals needs and never separate puppies and kittens that are obviously bonded.
Last fall some thoughtful human threw out a pregnant Cat ,long story short I ended up with mama and four beautiful kittens !!! plan was to adopt them out ,one person wanted two and another ,one ,all fell through ,so i kept them all ,best thing i ever did !!! no way I could ever even consider separating them now ,watching the family bond and Love they have for each other ,well i just dont think we have the right to separate them ,such beauty is so very moving !!! Please people if it should happen to you ,keep them all if you can , and if you must let them go in pairs or more if possible !! PLEASE !!!! SO MUCH LOVE !!!
Jane Book I did the same thing when a Momma cat left her 1 kitten in our barn and she grew and got pregnant and had babies before I could get her fixed.now all are enjoying life on the farm happy healthy(fixed) and together.
Lynette Dundon: ever worked in a shelter? I have and yes, ideally, bonded pairs should be adopted together. In the real world, 'though, this just isn't always possible.
No, shelter workers need to help as many animals as possible get adopted. They can encourage siblings to be adopted together, but they can't always insist on it. Think what the alternative is.
I know, like DUH
Good job to you for getting those babies back together. The world needs more people like you to help critters of all shapes, sizes and breeds to live long happy lives. There is a place in the afterlife (heaven?) for people like you.
BEAUTIFUL!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL and wonderful lives to you all! GOD Bless You, rescuers! Thank You, Humane society!! I am a member and a sponsor!! Proudly! Happy to be!! Look at the miracles you do!!!! And GOOD PEOPLE adopting rescuers...That was GREAT Thinking and resolved the painful distress of TWO sibling kittens! Oh, but this destiny DID come about...Thanks to YOU
adoptive human parents! They are safe, loved... and the amazing FOREVER home is all happening for them... And as for the our third sibling.. the loving dog...that will all work out beautifully ...IN TIME!! What a happy family!!
Two, two is better than one ! Aries and Aphrodite together forever ! Love it! Cisco will accept them as they will him! Best of luck! God bless you Kitty's and your forever family !
They are just like humans just furrier and have bigger hearts and much unconditional love to give!!!!!!🐱🐱🐱❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾🐾❤️❤️
Thank you for adopting them night. Very kind hearted!
How could the shelter have separated these kittens?!
My two siblings have been together all their lives, and interact so beautifully together.
We currently have 8 cats. We had 4 and took in a straggly, skinny wet tabby one night. A month or so later she gave us another 4! Then as the babies were born, within a couple of months my eldest who was 18 passed away so we were 9 briefly but now at 8. All the kitties are still here as having birthed them, we couldn't bear to give any away (our children!). They all snuggle and play with each other all day long. They try to interact with their mum, even though they are now 3 years old, but she is having none of it. She cuffs them away as if they are nothing to do with her, poor things. All our cats are rescued/adopted. They just seem to find us somehow.
So glad these 2 babies were back together.
Can only imagine what your house must smell like. When people walk in the door, do they pretend not to notice the stench of cat feces?
@@MikeyPaper not if she Scoops out the poop twice a day and she has to have at least 4 Cat boxes and use Fresh Step clumping cat litter
Cats had the strong bonds of loves for their siblings...they felt sad when you parted them...anyway,those who loved cats should know about this.😎💯👍👌👃
Very informative animals do suffer from separation anxiety.
I wouldn't have been able to separate them. Glad they are together now💜 my cat Bowie passed away a little over a year ago and I miss him everyday he was the best male cat , he loved everyone and.it was mutual. 😢 Lost him a month or 2 after I finished chemo therapy I was devastated.
this story is heartbreaking then a happy ending love this story

Always keep family together.
Sometimes things are just meant to be. Grief or separation anxiety kittys need each other and people need each other. I'm grateful that the lady figured it out and was able to get Aphrodite. Really sweet. 🐈💞🐈
Awwwww, so glad they have wonderful human parents.
Beautiful story. Thank you !!
What a beautiful story!
As a kitten foster mommy for a reputable 100% volunteer run, no kill cat shelter I knew immediately what this story was going to be. Bonded pairs should never be separated. A kitten in general belongs in a house with another cat or a dog, at least. If you want an only cat get an adult. There are some adorable 1yr olds and up who need good homes, still want to play and cuddle but also know what a litter box is. A good adoption counselor will help you find a purrfect match. After all, everyone wants a happy ending.
If you're that experienced, you should know that 4 month old kittens aren't "bonded." He probably would have been happy with any other kitten.
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Depends on the cat. Some cats are loners and just don't get along with other cats no matter what you try. While some love every other kitty. And some are in between. Cats have personalities as well and we shouldn't make generalizations about what's best for every cat emotionally.
It's my goal to adopt a bonded pair of cats/kittens. 😸😺 =^..^=
Great advice! If only ppl would take it 🙄. I find that ppl are generally ignorant and selfish, when it comes to animals. I’ve been guilty of that too. The problem is that ppl don’t let animals be animals, and first ask the animal what it wants and needs to be happy and healthy. The animal is there, purely for the person’s entertainment. One of the worst things ppl do, is feed their animals rubbish commercial food, and then wonder why they get sick and have behavioural problems. That’s my 2c worth, anyway. 👍 Keep doing your good work ♥️
Awwwww this is amazing! I have three cats, and this almost same thing happened with two of my kittens! We adopted two of them and not the third, so they were kinda depressed and mean. We adopted the third one a day later, and they have been happy since 😊
I had a pair of cats ,brother and sister that used to cuddle like they were in love and constantly playing then at some point they began to fight each other and the male ran away never to be seen again. The other cat that stayed with me lived to be 22 yrs old which is unheard of.
Years ago I obtained a Ferrell cat. After He was about 2yrs old My Wife and I left for 4 days. Previously never been away from Him. My Daughter fed and looked after Him. When we pulled into the driveway and stopped in front of the screen door. He looked up and seen me (us) and was overjoyed. It was the first emotional event that I knew Cat's had emotions and memories. The conformation of a Soul as well. The ignorance of the Church's and forced beliefs I experienced growing up were brought to light. It, from then on changed my perspectives. Thank God gor opening my Heart and Eyes!
So adorable. I myself have siblings. Two boys and two girls and they are thick as thieves. Loved the story.
Jenny Puckett cool! I also have 2 siblings...Prince & Bowie...both girls. They were a litter of 2 kittens, I had never seen that b4! I truly think that they could have thrived separately, but I am the one who couldn't bear to give them away...together OR separately!!! They r heaven sent & have brought much comfort & joy to my
life!!!
thank you thank you thank you

such a perfect pair. glad you got them back together and you can be assured their happy, gray area with puppy LOL
I had three cats but had to put one to sleep for health reasons. My other two began acting strange. Called my vet and found out that they were in
Morning for the friend that had lost.
In "morning"? Rather than in afternoon?? The word is mourning
Awe
When I've had to put down a cat, which has happened 3 times over 67 years, I always bring the dead cat home so the other (I always adopt pairs) can see it. Animals understand death. They don't understand "missing". I've never had a cat "mourn".
MOURNING
@@veralenora4033 Yes, and no. It might make it easier but they can still mourn. One of my cats fell over dead on the floor in the living room. The other cat we had saw it. Was well aware what happened. Still cried for over a week and eventually died herself as well. Vet is convinced the second cat died of depression because there was nothing physically to point to for her crying the preceding week, though she was fairly old
So cute I have two of my own and there not related but they love to play with one another and sleep with each other on my bed sometimes but mostly they just like being with each other
Awwww poor baby glad they are together
This so sweet with cats. I have some of my own and they have become friends. I think one died from drinking something it shouldn't have. Cats find a way to survive in different ways. They follow each other to see if someone is feeding them . Now I have 4. They come in each night wanting to be fed or find food in the yard.
That one cat that died probably drank chocolate milk and chocolate is bad for cats and dogs
That sweet timing for both kittens. nice story.

They both have matching M on their foreheads. Too cute.

We could learn a lot from our pets.
So very true!!
Thaks to the new family They should never have been separeted, It has happened even with children, how cruel.
Such a sweet story. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Awww! This is almost exactly how we ended up with our wonderful pair of feral rescue girlie cats, Oskar and Lexi. Even down to being told that Oskar wasn't available, and then at the last minute finding out she was free. And, they cuddle and play and do everything together! ~ Btw... the part of the brain that controls emotion in cats is almost identical to the same part of the brain in humans! Dogs and other domestic animals aren't even close, but for some reason, it is in cats. ALWAYS adopt shelter kitties! And, it's best to adopt in pairs, it's better for you, and life changing for them! Two don't really take up any more room than one does, and costs, especially for 'indoor' kitties, really isn't much more. . . . It gives them a companion for when you aren't home, and I've found out how critical to their happiness that is. Just leave your web cam on when you leave some time, and you'll see the separation anxiety a single kitty goes thru, the moment you close the door and they're alone. It'll break your heart. The benefit of adopting in pairs is priceless ♥
Best story I've heard in a long time!!!!!!!! Thank you for the happiness💕
Before watching the video i was going to say the kitten was probably trying to tell them to remove whatever they had put up its ass. Then i actually watched the video. I am glad they had a happy reunion and i got to see that happy ending.
Such a sweet story,and I'm happy they were reunited.😍😍
God Bless their hearts. Thank you to their human mom for being so kind and sensitive to their needs.

I am soooooo happy that those cats had a good ending........I still wanna hug and love them, animals have cool personalities too. Nice story made me feel happy
Awwww.Thank you for rescuing them.I have always tried to help kittens and cats.I adopted 2 ferals.I fed about 20 of them where I use to live. Poor babies.I am happy now with my two but one day I will adopt another.❤❤🐱
I remember these 2 from love meow. Sooo cute!
Years ago, my daughter and I were at a PetSmart. As it happened, there was a cat adoption event. An adoption volunteer was trying to explain to a man that the kitten he wanted was bonded to the other kitten in the carrier, and would he please take them both. Adamantly, the man refused. I said to my daughter, “it’s not about what he wants. It’s about what the kittens need”. With that, I took the one kitten from the carrier and handed him to my daughter. I took the other kitten from the man, turned to the volunteer and queried “how much and where do I sign”. Her instant response was “Here and here please. $140.00”. The man exclaimed “Hey! You can’t do that!” My reply, “Just did”. Loki and Capone are still enjoying their lives together in their loving forever home.
These are not “pets”. These are companions to us and one another.
Oh Happy day - the brother and sister again forever.HOORAY - God Bless
Aries has an eye infection. Poor kitty. I noticed it was very red n now in the last picture it is closing. I had a kitten that was born in the wild n he had a time wih eye infections but finally got the right antibiotic. U r good to have these sweet animals. Glad it worked out that the kitties got back together. But, please get Aries eye taken care of. These eye infections need an antibiotic.
Dee Ann dogs reunited with owners
@Easter Bells ridiculous...if it had an eye infection when they adopted it then the shelter was likely aware and therefore so was the owner. Vets so check them out asst the shelter before they are allowed to be adopted out
I hope they got that eye some medicine
I have a brother and sister combo! They were feral rescues and the most loving cats I have ever owned. So glad they are together.
What a beautiful story an a beautiful ending thanks Gary smith from England United kingdom
What a wonderful story. It's so nice to hear a happy ending. Thank you for sharing. Maybe your dog Sisko needs a friend too???
Sisko might be better off by himself
One of our 4 cats crossed the rainbow bridge 10 days ago. The remaining 3 have been searching and crying to try to call Miss Gray home. They search the front and back yards every day and don't want to come into the house at night. Boo has a need to be near one of us humans when we do force her into the house. She cries until at least Bluebell agrees to join her in the house. Boo and Miss Gray shared a sleeping rug. When Bluebell's original human mother my sister Krissy passed away in December 2015, Bluebell cried for her for a month and constantly watched outside the windows when it was time for Krissy to return from her daily school bus runs. It was so pitiful to watch. Animals are much more aware than they are given credit for.
God bless you and reward you for your effort 👍🏾😻💝❤️💞
Sweet story yes they have a bond with one another like they do with us so no wonder lil guy was crying for her!! A divine intervention brought them back together may they Never be separated again and live long healthy &Happy lives
OH MY GOODNESS
I LOVE THAT YOU DID THIS!
Animals are better than many humans. There are humans that are angels.
Wonderful Story❤️
I love that they were reunited
Aww, So sweet! Glad the kitties got reunited! I love happy endings and for sure made me smile!
He looks just like my kitty, Whiskey. He got ran over when he was only 4 months. I still cry because I miss him terribly. My gr.son named him Lucille (we thought he was a she at first) He could only scoot with his back legs for the first two months. I brought him home with me (350 miles sway) and renamed him Whiskey. His legs got better and then he followed my big cat outside and we didn't notice. My husband found him a short time later and had a really hard time with it. He loved him so much for such a short life. I hope God allows them to be together again one day. God love them.....
Two different people dumped an adorable kitten on me to babysit. A week later another lady asked me to "watch" her baby ferett. I never saw any of those humans again. The two sweet creatures bonded and became brother and sister. I fell in love with both of them. We loved to play chase around the pool. The ferett loved to swim. Miss those days! I still have my kitty, but ferrets don't live long, 9 years at most. She was with us 10. Miss her so much!
Such a sweet story. Siblings are the greatest friends. May these cats have an amazing life together.
This is such a beautiful story. I'm so happy the two were reunited. Thanks for sharing.
Friday Dec 8th, 2017 we saw a small cat in our yard. As the weather was getting colder we put a box with some old towels in it for shelter and fed the critter. We have three cats and I have allergy problems so we weren't looking for another cat, however we wanted to help. Saturday (9th) I noticed the cat in the box and gave more food. Wife and me decided the critter had to come in as it was gonna snow (5") that day and get freakin' cold (wind chills below -20) the next week here in upstate NY. Using a brush I suckered the bugger onto our back porch and shut the door. Long story short, we had the Vet over (yes we have a housecall Vet) Tuesday the 12th and kitty tested negative for FELV/FIV and given shots. She is a black and white long hair and was 7 months old. Our kitten's name is Gracie. Next came spaying!! We never saw any signs posted for a lost black and white kitten in our neighborhood.
It is almost one year now and all four are getting along rather well considering Gracie is a BIG pest. She's become best buddies with our 8 year old (19 pound) male, Spookie. Was not at all a bad way to start the new year of 2018. As we'd say in Brooklyn, Fuhgeddaboudit!!
I have had a cat that mourned once and it is a horribly pitiful thing to live through and watch. :-(
Elizabeth ... I can't even imagine. I'm sorry you had to experience that.
Why didn't you get another cat so the cat won't be so lonely?
We Love Kittens.
It is hurtful to watch Bubba cry out like he does!
After two years our cat Lou still looks all over the house every day for his bonded mate Basil who died. He hangs out with the other cats we have but it doesn’t stop him looking.
Great story! Beautiful pup, too! Beautiful kittens and beautiful couple of humans who had room in their hearts and home. Hope their human baby is healthy and happy.
God bless and protect them all.
I agree. Always adopt family members. I adopted a brother and sister when they were 2 months old. That was 11 years ago. They still sleep together, clean each other, look out for each other. I wish more people would adopt and stop buying pets from breeders. Too many in shelters need loving homes.
What a beautiful story with a very happy ending.
Aww a cute kitten 🐱
glad the babies are happy
Thats why when you go to get a baby animal you should take a soft toy and rub it in their cage or bedding so it has a familiar smell. It helps them to settle in the new surroundings.
THATS COOL.. ITS GOOD TO GET THEM USE TO WATER TOO
SO TO GET IN AN ..(BE CLEAN ALWAYS..)
My neighbor's cat had 4 beautiful kittens. I planned on adopting 1. When they were a few weeks old, I started to bring them over to my house for a little while each day so my adult cat could get used to them. He started missing them when I would take them back to their mama. I decided that I couldn't bear to separate them so I ended up keeping the entire litter. They never had to go through the mourning like this poor little boy. Watching videos like this assures me that I made the right choice lol. Now I couldn't imagine life without all 5 of my fur babies.
beautiful story!
Thankyou..for caring God bless
I wish humans would listen to animals more. these are beautiful people!
When we adopted our last kitten we had a one year older pair of litter mates who happened to be from the same two parents as the kitten. Smoothest transition ever. Of coarse their mother recognized the scent of her earlier kids and marked the carrier inside and out. We figure she was sending a note from home that this was their little brother
We had the baby quarantined but his big sis insisted that we let him out with them. They have since become the most loving family of cats ever. The youngest and his sister are the closest and look like they should be the litter mates. Exactly the same size and faces.
If possible, I would try to adopt a pair that came into the shelter together. They already have the bond.
He must have been separated far too early, the poor little mite. So glad you were able to get his sister.🙂
I always advise people, whenever possible, to adopt bonded pairs of cats / kittens. Cats are more like lions - they do form bonds and when feral, gather together in communities - just like prides of lions.
With two, they keep each other company while their people are away. Our cats are just as attached to us as they are to each other. TY Alana for giving these sweeties their forever home 💖 Luck to Sisko.
Several years after our senior cat died, we went to the shelter to get ONE middle aged cat. As we were walking past cages and trying to make a selection, a paw reached out and tapped my mother on the shoulder; turns out it was two sibling kittens, one boy and one girl. Needless to say we fell in love and adopted both of them.
I can truly understand animals that were together should stay together seperation is not very good due to behaviors so keep them together let the happiness be happy

My nephew, a fireman, found 3 abandoned kittens this summer while at work. I had thought I would get them healthy, then find good homes for two of them. From the first time I saw the kittens, I saw a very strong bond between them. The girls were afraid of being apart from food, water, but mostly each other. My family think I’m crazy for keeping all 3, but I couldn’t separate them! So now, I have a 5 cat household, 🙀 but can’t imagine life without my 3 little sweethearts!
My cat Shay mourned his dog Buddy for days. It broke my heart to see him wander around and meow mournfully.
Over a year later I adopted 3 kittens and he grooms them & loves on them like he is their mother. He's such a precious boy.
I had the same experience with my twin sisters Lilly and Blanca. When we had gone to the shelter to look for a kitty we first met Blanca and wanted her right away. She had a twin sister Lilly that was hiding behind a trash can. Then a tiny little black orphaned kitten jumped on my shoulder bonked me with his head and started purring. We went home with both kitties and my little boy Spiccoli settled in right away playing exploring and snuggling and eating like a champion. Blanca laid on the floor in the spare room and howled inconsolably. I called the shelter back and asked if her sister was available. They said yes and I went back for her right away. The minute those two ladies saw each other they instantly greeted each other and began to play and explore. They never cried like that again unless they had to go to the vet.
I have two pets like this. One time when me and my mom where traveling we had our cat and dog with us. We had just started our journey when my dog started whining and pacing the car. I did everything to console him. I gave him attention. Gave him food and water. Nothing worked until I had an idea. My cat was on the floorboard asleep under some blankets. I lifted the blanket and put my cat on my lap so my dog could see. When he saw the cat he immediate became quiet and content. Also if my dog is at the vet or for what ever reason not at home. My cat would go crazy trying to find the dog. I think that is so funny.
Me too...the cat resembles my cat a lot, named Oyen. Brown/orange cat indeed is the cutest funniest cat you'll ever had.
Cats REALLY love another cat to play, cuddle and just comfort each other!😊 So glad this worked out so well!😊
I'm a softie. I cried almost the whole way through
these 2 babies look like my babies,, I got my babies at the same time , they play together all the time ,, along with my other kitty who is 9 years old ,, this is a sweet story
I love this story. Never separate siblings please! espcially if they came from a difficult situation and have a strong bond.
