Holy crap! Thank you for sharing this story. I was a Flyers fan living in Orlando at the time and followed the Lightning as well as the Flyers. I always wondered what the heck happened with that deal. Nice to hear the whole story. There's no hanging your head for getting clipped. You do it enough and somebody is going to get the better of you. The true warriors get up off the mat and do it again. Thanks for the little clip here, I'll go watch the full interview.

Roy is a good guy hope he is enjoying retirement.. When Arron Asham KO Jay Beagle a guy in Pittsburgh made up a shirt of Asham it said âAshams Exit Light Enter Nightâ on it.. The guy actually met Arron Asham I believe at Rivers Casino đ° he went up to Arron and said âI know you apologized for this but I got you something.â He gave Asham the shirt he chuckled and the guy got a picture with Asham..
Philly has loved Torts, including me, but his antics lately have been outta pocket.
Iâm not sure about on the ice but off the Ice Torts is a good guy and so I Mike Sullivan. Got to know Sully personally in NY and he was a stand up guy. Tough but cool. As a player I have no idea but I donât like players whining like that. đ€·đ»ââïž
I have a good friend who worked for the Rangers when Torts was coaching. Not one player liked him. He played mind games and if he didnât like you he let you and the rest of the team know it. At one practice Brandon Dubinsky (who Torts hated) was on the ice warming up Torts came out started yelling at him for some unknown reason, then told him to go home and that he was being scratched for the age that night. At the time Dubinsky was on our 2nd line and an important player.
Torts is the man!
He shot himself in the foot when Torts originally asked him to undress. He disrespected his bosses order! I get he was pissed and frustrated and wanted revenge but the boss who runs âthe teamâ made a call and he didnât listen! That is also being disrespectful.
Why is it always the mid role players and snobby high end talent have problems with torts. If you donât like him you donât like bettering yourself
that is beyond disrespectful

This explains why Mike Sullivan will never have a tough player on his team. The GM got Ryan Reaves for the Pens a few years ago⊠Sullivan had him traded.
Like all bullies, Torts is nothing more than a coward out of his depth.
