that backpack is the cats pajamas or should I say dogs pajamas......lol.... Mable seems pretty stoked about it.... glad to see you on the mend... that snapping turtle is huge... reminds of the family farm we always had a gopher turtle who would always return every year and find its hole in our yard.... it would drive the dogs and cats crazy watching this turtle walking across the yard... the cats would even hop on its back for a free ride... good times... dang, that IV PIC line really did a number on your arm... hope everything is well with you and marty and the furbabies...be safe !!!
I have a different pack that does't have the lumbar strap, so I find it uncomfortable for my pug. How long was your walk with Mabel and did you find it hurt your traps at all?
Just ordered mine for my new puppy. A blue Merle miniature American shepherd. I’m hoping he will still fit when grown. I have a long two month wait until I get him but I’m so excited I’m already buying things! Lol thank you for the video
As much snow as Wisconsin gets, I was surprised you have turtles in your area. There are no turtles here in northern Maine, though the southern part of the state does have some turtles.
Hahaha, I get CHEWY boxes all the time, and they have cat food, cat litter, dog food....OMG, when I saw you hefting that box, I thought, oh man, I hope her doctor isn't watching this.....hahaha Great little pack for Mable..... :) Boy, that was one big snapper! Also I live in Texas - the weather is pretty hot in the summer how well ventalated is it? I am looking at the k9 sports sack as well but I like the new g-train black v2 and considering purchasing. Same as the red one but worried about motorcycle rides and ventalation
Yes, I do as long as your mini schnoodle wears a harness and you secure it to the lanyard inside. The lanyard is placed such that it won’t allow a dog to climb out of the backpack. Also, before you take your schnoodle out for a ride, I’d do a couple of test walks around the neighborhood with him/her. That way your dog will get acclimated to the backpack first (especially if he/she hasn’t been carried like that before.) As for ventilation, there are side vents and the opening where the dog can stick his/her head out. The side vents work as long as you’re not carrying water bottles in the side pockets, otherwise the vents are blocked. I got to test the ventilation yesterday as it was 90 degrees here. I took Mabel out for a 15 minute walk and she seemed just fine. Me, not so much. I thought it was too hot lol. One other thought, lighter colors are better in summer. Darker colors will absorb more heat. Good luck and hope this helped.

I regularly take Mabel in the Kurgo backpack on hikes lasting over an hour. I haven’t had an issue with pain in my traps.

Yes, she does. She sometimes lays down but mostly she likes to sit with her head out and one paw hanging out.
Ours has two stabilizing rods and I can only find the two at the bottom but not the top. Did you see this?
