There are NGOs, law firms, banks, politicians, cops, etc. who are instrumental in enabling & defending crimes. We're in Gotham City.

    • @Thabang-st4bw
      @Thabang-st4bw Před 5 měsíci

      Truly.
I request people who think doing away with human rights is a smart idea to contemplate the following:
Does gotham city need a batman who just punishes criminals or a bruce wayne who has the institutional power and resources to change the systems that make gotham what it is.
If you know comic books then you must know The Flash. Compare the way he approaches protecting Central City to the way Batman deals with gotham. Why did the writers make their approaches so different? Why did the writers make Central City safer than Gotham.
People who adore batman tend to think poor people are inherently evil and must eradicated. The batman is a rich persons fantacy.
In the context of south africa these problems will never go away untill the root causes are resolved.
My question to you is does the PA want to deal with the root causes or does it want to satisfy the emotions of disgruntled south africans by using unsound solutions (imo)
      On rights and responsibilities:
You have it wrong. Responsibilities come before rights. We have many responsibilities to provide, protect etc etc. To carry out these responsibilities we need certain freedoms. For example the government has the right to take people's freedom and a right to state violence because it has the responsibility to protect its citizens. I argue that the lack of human rights is what leads to crime. If you create an environment where people do not have rights and thus cant effectively carry out their responsibilities, then crime will happen (not all crime ofcourse)

I have a question about the land thing. As a white person, I was never given land or a house. I amn52 and have never been able to afford to buy my own home. My husband and I are desperate for a piece of land where we can build our own house and do small scale farming. We have lived all over the world and have never come across a country where people just get given land.
It is our belief that the "commons" belong to everyone. We shouldn't have to buy land and get permission to build a home yet all human are subjected to this all over the world.
How do we in South Africa change this so that every citizen is eligible for a piece of land that they can call home?
I look at some of.my friends from the the Eastern Cape or even Malawi and Zim and they get given land by the local chief. How can we develop an equitable access to land policy that doesn't end up being about history but rather focuses on adding value to every life in SA?

    • @FictionHubZA

@@MrLechesa But, we should also make a clear distinction in qualifications. The average DA voter is closer to a doctor or a lawyer in education. Their median income is also higher. The average EFF voter might have a degree, but it is usually not as good. They're more likely to get social studies types of degrees. They are not as educated as they would like to believe.

BMW? Why not Toyota or a cheaper option?

It's a question worth asking for future. My assumption would be speed and efficiency, especially when chasing criminals in fast cars. But still worth an ask.

Because although our criminals steal Toyota’s !,They also steal Mercedes and BMW’s too!,so it’s better you have a BMW to catch a Toyota then a Toyota to catch a BMW!,its that simple!😂

      Cheap Cars for what?
I blame the ANC for creating an image of a substandard, slow response and poor State. And now people think that's the norm.
In actual fact, serous states across the world have the best of technology, best of cars, intelligence, IT, and even Guns.
You can't expect government to compete with Cash-In-Transit using Toyota Corolla, Bicycles and slingshots.
This Cheap things mentality is ANC creation.

@@balenidumisani296 bro, never said anything about Corrolla. There are multiple Toyota models.
In addition Toyota is a utility car, BMW is a luxury car. Toyota is cheaper and you can put more equipment in a Toyota, that a BMW.
Also why follow what other nations are doing buying luxury cars, what can an expensive BMW do, that a cheaper Toyota can’t do?
Utility> luxury for government use my guy.
