    • @ogodisengmphoko8433
      @ogodisengmphoko8433 Před měsícem +9

      It is not an engineers job to fix or operate machines, that is not the question here. And yes the principles are almost the same, I don't disagree. But the thing here is, you cannot know everything, hence we have specialists. I am junior mechanical engineer in a mining sector, If tomorrow I move to energy(eskom), eskom will have to train me bcz they appreciate the fact I don't know about electricity generation. The minister has no background in electricity generation, distribution, we have a crisis and we don't need someone to learn on the job. We need someone that specializes so they solve the problem now. Maintaining a power station is different from maintaining buildings, roads.

    Beautiful episode. MacG interrupted a very important part of the history of Load shedding. Many people do not know. This problem was predicted and timelines were given. However, the minister was getting to all of that and MacG cut him short. It’s his platform but many people would have learned a lot about curtailment and how that works. Which areas have capacity and which do not and the why. As much as it’s for fun and views, there should be something important that we learn from these guys.
    Beautiful episode again. This man is working and if you detached him from ANC, he would be a good president. He knows how to deliver. Very smart.
