SaMASZ Insights #4 - quick change module design

The SaMASZ safeGEAR quick change module design - any good hay mower should have quick change modules, but there's also a lot of variables in module design between different brands.
For example, SaMASZ have a keyway breakaway inside their module, so if an object stops the disc from spinning, this keyway is the first this to go. Other brands have different designs, one being a 'roll pin' breakaway inside the module, which from feedback we've been getting, this can wear out over time and fail. Another design has a breakaway inside the module, and if this is damaged you need to replace the whole module.
Regarding the SaMASZ one, the keyways cost less than $5 and along with this, the bearings inside the SaMASZ modules aren't brand specific, you can get these off the shelf and rebuild a module if you need to without breaking the bank - on that note, a complete SaMASZ module is only around $500, so compare that to any other brand and you'll see who comes out on top for pricing!
