I think it is kind of hard to judge the CVT sine you never got it above 35 mph
I only started looking at the Integra because the Honda Accord came out so ugly this year. The Acura is so much better looking. Prices aren't so bad either. Great review as always.
I just got the manual (my 5th Honda with a manual in 38 years of driving!). I haven't driven the Si/Integra CVT as yet, but I've tried previous Honda CVTs and it sounds like the experience with every previous CVT Honda model. The Integra brand would have been far better served with a non-CVT auto, something like the TLX. (Not that I'd buy one, even if it performed better: I enjoy a standard trans far more.).
how does the seat comfort and suspension on this compare to a Honda accord or kia k5?
If Acura MUST use a CVT, they should've used the 2.0L hybrid eCVT powertrain seen in the Accord. While it's not any more exciting than the current 1.5T CVT Integra, at least you could argue it's quicker than the A-spec 6-speed MT.
I heard some people had issues with cvt but I had none drove v6 Altima for 5 years. Really enjoyed it too. Nissan did have electrical issues after 130k miles so had to get rid of it.
Looks great, but too sluggish. A real shame they couldn't find a way to wedge the accord powertrain in here, that would make a really nice base powertrain with a CVT
It didn't look like it has the ELS stereo system in the technology package. That's a must for me, or I would not get it. Everyone has their color preferences, and mine is the Apex Blue Pearl with this or the black interior.
I like that they offer optional black exterior emblems and the body kit, I would get, no carbon fiber.
The exhaust sounds good. Some have put aftermarket exhaust, I wouldn't change it.
I was hoping for a little more excitement...guess ill continue my efforts to the BMW 230i coupe...
I just got the 2024 A spec technology and I love it I used to own a 2001 gsr 4 door which I loved and I just sold my 2003 EP3 which I owned for 3 years and was a blast to drive I test drove a 2020 ILX A spec and It rode too rough for me the Integra handles way better the ILX was barely faster and too cramped inside these cars are not made for racing
What sucks is due to health problems a manual is just out. My joints just can't do it. I absolutely love the Integra and it sucks the CVT just doesn't sound like a option.. Might look at a used TLX instead among the other cars I'm considering
Does the rear seats fold down flush with the rear cargo area bruh?
My car is identical, same color seats too, I’ve got the tech package tho.
I think the Civic sport touring is a fair option for this car. Especially if you are going CVT. No question Civic if getting anything less, than A spect w tech. You loose the LSD and then it really is just a Honda with a simple 20hp hondata tune.
2024 Acura Integra A-Spec 1.5L Direct Injection VTEC Turbo 4-Cylinder CVT Continuously Variable Transmission FWD Sportback!
I bought 22 ILX Aspec back in Dec 21 for 36G... been 2 years since and its still drive like new. I could of wait months and buy integra but the main reason I bought ILX over Integra is that the size of engine 2.4L its mid size engine on civic basically and super simple except that its not touch screened and old info system😅 Not much changed if you owned ILX Aspec. I would just wait, saved up and upgrade to TLX
I just got a preowned 2019 ILX with 18,000 miles and I agree it's an excellent automobile. It doesn't have the stupid CVT or a turbo which break more easily. I just saw a video of someone who has almost 240,000 miles on the motor and it still runs like the day he bought it. It's unfortunate that Honda/acura got rise of the 2.4 liter K24 motor but at least we are owners of a great and reliable car!
@@michaeljosephs6439 Nice getting preowned its a bargain with low mileages. If you want a daily car but somewhat less common, this is it! Like I don't mind not having HUD, full info screen systems or any latest techs like it's not the end of the world and you can still enjoy your android auto/apple car app. Just went to dealers in Bethesda for oil changes and so far so good. I'm just gonna pay this up since I owed under 20K left from this car and then change to TLX type S. Have fun driving!!
Not a good car if you have a small wiener, you'll have to find something faster to compensate for that. If, however, you aren't ashamed of your size, the Integra is a fine, dare I say nice, car.
Nice car❤
Great 👍
Nice
I test drove this…it was a slug, plain and simple…this car needed the 2.0 engine from the Accord in both automatic and 6 speed…and to be priced correctly…
Integra only make sense at base price. If you start paying more you're paying luxury price for civic engine. Basically engine is what makes a luxury vehicles more expensive but these day government is pushing efficiency so power is so much much harder to come by at lower prices
Integra is basically IL. But actually worse. Better body than ILX but worse tran and engine
I know, learn to drive.
You went from 2nd to 3rd gear almost instantly with very little RPM change and then thought at 33 MPH, you needed to be in 5th gear. That doesn't make any sense...
Car is really not worth the money they are asking. Is it ok yes its ok but just ok. I tested the A spec mid trim. Ride is more comfortable than ILX but not enough to upgrade. I didn't care for the fake leather interior. My ILX has real leather. I paid 28k out the door for my top trim ILX now its pushing 40k Head unit is terrible in lower and mid a spec trim maybe top A spec is better. Visibility was good and around town its a comfortable ride but price is not justified to me. Acura badge is not prestigious enough to over pay just for the logo. Car felt strange accelerating on the highway with that CVT transmission. Eventually it moved but just not satisfying.
Nice looking car but will not upgrade my Acura ILX to this😂. ILX is faster, unkillable engine, DCT and sounds better. Will go shop elsewhere lol. Good review though👍
Integra is more efficient and it’s a move pushed by the government so ILX performance will be better. They did make integra more roomie and modern to have something to offer over ilx
Agreed ILX is actually Better accept the look and it’s not hatch
Good
CVT should stay in motorcycles
Ben Hardy looks like the skinny, metrosexual, version of Al Borland from Home Improvement. 😂
Love your content! ❤
Good chick car
#Acura put a CVT in the all new Integra….. why… wtf….. whyyyyyyy
1.5L Turbo Direct Injection with the notorious oil dilution problem, no thanks. Honda needs to stop making that engine. Automatic transmissions in a car should have gears, CVTs are good for snowmobiles. Nice looking car body but that’s it.
I wish CVT’s didnt exist at all
Even Toyota is not all in on it. They’ve back tracked with the new transmissions making first gear a real gear so it starts off more easily.
CVTs can be useful in other smaller motor vehicles, like snowmobiles. But using them in cars has proven to be lackluster
I drove a cvt in a v6 Altima for 5 years it was totally fine. I had 0 issues with it
132k
@@c0348whn it was time. It had some strange electrical issues I really like the car . I’ve owned all kinds of models and have learned that even so called reliable brands can be expensive to maintain 120k mikes. Everything gets old
This will disappear in few years just like the first time around. No reason for its existence.
CVT is not belong in entry-level luxury car.
