i love the fact that these vests allow u to experience real pain. my ideal VR would allow the user to experience true pain without real world injuries. its realistic. i'd play pavlov much differently if getting shot actually hurt

I loved Arashi back but Quest 2 was upon me and better controls moved me away from psvr1. Very excited to bring it to my Quest library. Last I played it, you didn't need to block attacks, you could just dodge and prepare a blow. Otherwise, full of nice tactical weaponry. It's interesting that Endeavor One are the ones who ported Iron-Man to Quest and now received a helping hand from Skydance.
VR presence being smaller than previous years is a little worrying. VR is finally breaking away from a lot of its older limitations but I feel like the quest platform and the mobile experiences people experience on it has been a big part of peoples’ dissatisfaction with VR or seeing it as a gimmick. As much as the 3500 price tag of apples headset seems ridiculous and it’s clearly targeted as a luxury product, I’m hoping that will revitalize the industry because when apple makes a new product like AirPods, Apple Watch, iPad, new competitors follow in suite.
My issue with the vision pro is simple... The should have started with an earpods like apcahe gunship style AR monocyle alot like Google glass but around $100 and work well with android and windows and do basic AR things by being an Apple watch in your eyeline that can play games and so you apple maps over places... Like that is the driaction they are headed but with a $3.5k Lisa like Mixed reality device where they have not shown it do the VR thing other then closing off passthough. But yeah I think the Quest 2 took VR into the main steam because it sells better then the current gen Xboxes so it's done alot to grow VR... But yeah people really need to stop making Quest exclusive as their is no reason to... Like don't want to pay steam then yuuse Itch.10 instead...

Cheap VR headsets are leading to forgettable VR experiences and VR even has a negative stigma from the metaverse shit that fizzled out, which is why you can see apple deliberately avoid the word VR when talking about the vision pro. There’s no way to make a good vr experience for 100 yet, they’re going to start like the Apple Watch started, a luxury product with cutting edge displays and tech then gradually make cheaper headsets as that becomes more feasible economically.

I am so disappointed in VR games right now. Sure if you like horror games there are plenty of options I guess but I personally want a fun lighthearted game with lots of action set in an open world. The Owo suit looks awesome but I don't think it is compatible with Population One ☹
I don't know about feeling pain, but having used an EMS device before I feel like it could be a great medical device for relieving pain as well as athletic training.
the platform game gave me an idea. Someone should release skylanders to VR and have you play in a living room with a TV size of your choice and all the sjylanders to choose from so you can "physically" grab them without actually owning the skylanders since they are expensive. Could also do this for Disney infinity, and any other toys to life game

Haha only upper body. It could be dangerous if cranked up to the max. My friend looked like he was being tasered during his demo. His muscles completely locked up and he toppled over []-/
Really disappointed to hear that the OWO was not recommended by bHaptics. I had the vest and it didn't really work for me as it felt like vibration rather than an authentic sensation. I ordered the OWO when it was first put up for pre-order late last year and it's now gone into production. I've been looking forward to it, but your review has left me wondering if it was worth the purchase. I guess I'll find out soon. Thanks for the honesty in your short review / overview of the OWO though.
Owo keeps CLAIMING that their vests can be used to simulate gentle sensations like raindrops and being touched and spiders crawling over you (TECHNICALLY gentle, if extremely unplesant!) and the sensation of feeling dripping blood speaks to that, but then all their demos are "WANT TO GET STABBED IN THE GUT?" It feels like they're doing an absolutely terrible job selling their product. Sure it's great that it can simulate with that level of realism but what most people want is the gentle stuff. Feeling leaves brush against them as they walk through a forest. Shoulder-taps as other players alert them to enemies around the corner.
As someone who uses a TENS machine (which is basically what these vests are) for pain management, I don't buy that it could ever feel like something lightly brushing against you. Maybe if they're nettles. Lowest setting always just feels prickly.
I'm so tempted to get the PSVR2 but I'm worried that it'll collect dust if there's not enough good new games on it. I'm not particularly interested in what looks like a large library of hastily developed gimmicky games VR seems to attract.
Hi, thnx for the video. I've got a bit of a side question wether you have one of your videos or a place where I can learn to setup my HTC Vive VR, old one, with 2 additional trackers. ( Since I sold my EVGA 1080ti in end 2018 I did not own a good GPU since the start of this year. Namely onboard GPU and later GTX660ti and I still had to hold back buying RTX2060 because I just refuse to pay 1000 or 1200 for a GPU ) I hope you, or someone else can help me with that. VR is going slow but being out of touch for that many years I need some help to get back in. Thnx
I gain and lose weight every now and again, so that skin tight vest is just a no go. Also, not sure I actually need _pain_ for immersion. I'd be happy with some rumble motors. The rumble-vests tend to be very flexible in terms of adjustments as well. At the end of the day I'll probably end up with neither.
Btw, is that white haired dude in the photo the over-memed old guy with a coffee cup in an office with a sleepy smile looking like he's just holding his s**t together? 😂

Vr FPS don't have to look like 90s pixel games. We can have decent graphics and good gameplay. Flat to vr mods have shown this. HL2 vr mod is the best vr game since Alyx. And even though its from 2004 still looks better than 90% of vr games.
No driving or flying games... that's just sad... everyone who ever went on a shooting rampage had long term exposure to shoot em up computer games...you should bear that in mind when you review and recommend these types of games!!.🙏❤️🇺🇲🇺🇦
I'll only really dive into VR after open world MMOs are plentiful. All these single player scripted campaign games are all the same. The haptic vest is incredible but without a great game to incorporate it in, it's pointless. The hardware is getting amazing though and allowing for a lot more. We just need game developers to follow suit with improved graphics, massive multiplayer, and larger worlds.
