Lady Bay, deep water on the rising tide. 7 Oz leads to hold bottom. Beef up the terminal end 30 main line. Cast out to 10 on clock and get the tackle to settle in front of the rods. Strong currents and weed can be in bucket loads.... Got a 14 lb cod from here years ago... A gaff is needed for on the rocks 😅.

Have you ever fished the south coast? Our local spot on southsea beach in Portsmouth. We go at least twice a week and I know there’s good fish out there just got too get through the whiting and dogfish! Occasionally we get a nice smooth-hound, bass or ray but never land a nice cod. Maybe a challenge for you in 2024 perhaps..

Pig is a old reference in shore fishing to a shore caught Cod 20lb plus or it was many years ago .. I guess some old shore fishers still use this term .. I’ve never caught a pig off shore though haha
