Hi I found one exactly like this equalizer for sale locally but I don't really know how to set it up. Will it work with a TDA 7572R? And will I need to get an amplifier to make it work?
I own this and will install it on instance with a 7294 unit and a couple of 6x9 altec lansing. Which amplifier and sub do you recommend to me? It is for a vw rabbit
The alpine 7294 is a nice headunit, Is difficult to give advice on your particular system, even a subwoofer enclosure type can make a sub sound different, but as far as Alpine I always liked type R and X series subs, even tho I prefer vintage car audio amplifiers they are very hard to find in good condition. So I would go w a never Alpine mono amp class D they are very efficient are much smaller and do not overheat.
hello, very cool. maybe you can help....would like to purchase an old school full-din EQ (ie - Sony XE's, Alpine 3339) or anything with a lot of bouncing lights....old school bouncing lights is the goal. do you have anything you'd be willing to sell? thanks
Hi the equalizers w spectrum analyzer are nice, mostly all of the equipment I own right now is not for sale, for me it is getting harder to find old school equipment in good condition but I hope you find the one you're looking for. Thanks for your comment

Hi Gride, I like the Alpine in my opinion it is one of the best it has excellent sound quality it was built w high quality parts assembled in Japan, I also like the Alpine because it has the BBE processor built it wich makes compressed music files sound better it adds clarity and restores bass. The Clarion models you mentioned are newer the specs are not bad but the 746 and 755 built quality is not as good but I like the 7V outputs. Both the Alpine and the Clarion models are older and discontinued but it is easier to find the Clarion models and are a lot more affordable than the Alpine ERE G180.

I'm using it with the Alpine ILX double din head unit. Does the Clarion give more output power with the 7volts making the music louder? Thanks!

I have had had 5 of these now. I love them. They come up sometimes on craigslist and I pick them up.
One of my favorite components of all time. They've been a staple in every decent system I've ever had.
I prefer the aesthetics of the Kenwood 6042, but the BBE function on these is a must-have for me.

Yes it will pair up nicely with the TDA7572R and yes this is a pre amp equalizer so it will need to be connected to an amplifier.

For the input side of the eq, what rca from the head unit goes into the g180?
It can be the pair of front or rear rca outs from the stereo they just need to be full range w no crossover settings
How can I fix my RCA plug, it works but goes off and on when it shake around.
sounds like a solder joint at the RCA to board needs to be resoldered

No the higher the preamp voltage less noise because you can set the gains of the amplifier a bit lower.
