  • This car was on my channel long time ago. I restored it half way at my workplace at the time, but I never finished it as my boss decided to pick a fight with the owner of the car and ask him to pick it up unfinished.
Fast forward a few years and the car is now at the Rusty Beauties shop so I can finished what I started.

The financial support to the channel doesn't buy you anything special. There is no such thing as early access or VIP content here as I don't want to take away from those who can't afford it. The financial support is your way of saying thank you if you feel like it and you can afford it. Just being here, watching, liking, sharing is also a big support and I appreciate it.
    THANK YOU!

Looking forward to you working on your early rusty beauty resto project, I'm sure you'll get satisfaction when you complete it, considering the drawn out history with the car.

What a great story Elin, I can appreciate why John didn’t want to offer the business back to your old Boss’s place but John clearly respected your position has now changed for the better. (I’m with John on that 😁)

I’m lucky to have met Elin years ago when I was selling his boss a windshield frame for one of his TR 6 projects Elin was working on. I got to watch and learn as Elin kept tearing my TR6 apart, First it was in for a frame repair and now after he,s rebuilt the Engine and every other part of this car we all get to watch him rebuild it, all the while keeping us entertained and teaching us in his unique style. Enjoy!
      !

Hi Elin, fantastic that you can continue the work on this old Rusty Beauty project! And I'm looking forward to a video series on the completion on this TR6 - with my own project I am not in that stage yet (just finishing the front wheel suspension) but I am sure that the videos will contain valuable material for me (and others, of course).

Ha, I often wondered what would have happened to that car. I remember you driving the chassis without body many years ago. I didn't remember that it got painted, however. Looking forward to seeing another beautiful TR brought back to life! Thanks for filling in the details on what happened to the car and good luck on the final restoration.

Yes I too remember John and the car well. Glad to see that you can finish it up during times this winter, maybe the GT 6 too,as you promised yourself years ago.

Who else can save John's triumph if not you. I think it's really great that you're doing this.

Triumph (or MG) owners will always seek you out because they can see you will treat their car like it was your own and do the work properly. I watched you from start to finish on this car, in fact I think I started watching your channel from when you made those motorcycle panniers so god knows how long ago that was!

Malcolm, I’ve been watching since the beginning as well! I can’t wait for spring, when Elin rolls it out. It will be the first “customer” Rusty Beauty to come off the line. I can’t wait.

I remember it well Elin. I often wondered what happened to this lovely example of an early TR-6 and thanks to you & owner John we all have the benefit of seeing it fully restored and back in one piece.

@@johnmalone407 Indeed John.. You have a lovely early example of the TR-6 said by many to to be the best of the affordable British sports cars of that era. . You couldn't have a better man than Elin Yakov bringing the car back to life. I'm enjoying watching the process of it's resurrection.

Off topic question for you. I have my own "rusty beauty" a 1970 GT6 and I need just one steel wheel, you may have an idea where some might have just one wheel.

Elina I have a 74 tr6 that needs trailing are repairs. Is there any way to repair without removing body

    • @RustyBeauties
      @RustyBeauties  Před 9 měsíci

I’ve seen it done but I don’t think that is the proper way. It is a very important structural part and needs to be welded properly. Having access from everywhere is critical in my opinion.

Boats are females, and now Elin is showing that cars are females as well.
That's why they give me so much trouble.
