Thanks for making great instructional videos! Please consider removing background music, standardizing its volume, or adding CC so users reasonably mute the video :)
I have 2 Silverback Bikes.. Dual suspension and Hardtail both with huge upgrades from drive train to dropper.. Lyne Components more expensive than some online or other brands.. how ever.. never had an issue.. been almost a year.. from hard riding to some weekly no riding due to work.. freaking amazing parts..👍👍👍
The two Allen key procedure might be my answer! I was only using one to tighten the lever barrel nut. My cable would not spring back after i actuated the lever. My lever was sticking!
It is a well produced tutorial and very useful. I want to make one point to make it better. When I look at the sketch regarding the cable lock nut, the bullet shape drawing is confusing for an novice installer. It took me several viewing and matching to realized that the bullet shape thing is not relevant and non-existent.
My V2 dropper came with a cable end nut, but the lever assembly didn't need it (different from the one in this video), just needed to pinch the cable with a pinch bolt.
@@lynecomponents7373 Yup, I searched youtube and founded someone did it , but with a sram lever. My is shimano GXR I'll figured it out . Thank you for your response.

Even a 4 year old can do this! Great tutorial.
Thanks for watching!
And i took this comment personally.
Installed this dropper and it seems to do the Job... will take it out for a ride soon.. one of the few droppers made in 27.2 config...
Where did you use the masking tape?
Ha ha well spotted!
Call me crazy but it seems to me that cutting the excess cable and installing the end cap should happen after the function check.

How did this product hold up over time and use?
how much is this?
Thanks a lot because apparently you can't rely on CR to include some good instructions with their dropper posts....
No Problem!
It's possible to used the front derailleur shifters on a road bike to dropped the post. I'm thinking of go with a 1x so want to used the fd shifter.
Hi, we have heard of people doing this successfully, I believe you need to remove the ratchet somehow so the shifter only pulls.

Turn the annoying music off!!
Nice video. Music way too loud and distracting.
That barrel adjuster is super ugly, is it possible to not use it?
Were rubber gloves really needed. Lol
That music is so annoying
