Hard difficulty.
All player units start with 0 Str/Mag and have 0 Str/Mag growth. Enemy units are normal. Everything else is unchanged.
Only source of strength/magic is weapon might, supports, statboosters, promotions and metis's tome
Ironman challenge (no loading saves/resetting, dead characters stay dead, run's over if I lose)
Everything else is fair game if needed

People don't mention this but Vanessa was the MVP on this round as she saved Ross which was the one who saved the run.
Vanessa flew so that Ross could walk on water.

Your window for feasibly training growth units is limited. For some units in some games, such as Fir in FE6, it's literally just the same chapter you get them.

The fact that an enemy picked neimi over a phantom, the penultimate enemy prioritiser tool, is extremely funny to me.
It makes sense. The enemy will prioritize the weakest thing it can, and a flimsy incorporeal being of unsubstantial presence is definitely weaker than a phantom.

What an interesting run to show off the different tools and approaches to FE8 played mostly straight. It really feels like playing out a desperate struggle against undead beings like the narrative implies and calls back to the first war how the demon king was surrounded by the dead before he finally fell.

I loved they way you covered everyones strength as you recruited them, such an overlooked detail most playthroughs
The best part of this run was finding out you weren't even strong enough to crack some eggs

This was the first Fire Emblem game I ever played and loved the heck out of it!
In these days I have found myself in a bad place. The winter chill, some health problems, and the day to day tedium, activities where I used to pour my energy and creativity seemed pointless and exhausting. You could say I have had zero strength as of late.
But hell, if a country boy with zero strength can single-handedly turn the tables in the fight against an immortal demon king, there HAS to be hope for me too.
