To my mother in heaven now ...only in her 50's when she died from breast cancer ..but she was amazing and wonderful so blessed to have had a good one ...so kind..mom I am emulating you with my children ..I remember all the love and teaching...To the good amazing mothers out there....

Wow! This song really says it all doesn't it? It does for me. I heard it for the first time today on the radio and I'll admit it brought tears to my eyes. My mom is the best you could ever hope to have. My best friend. The one who ALWAYS has my back. The only one who can read me like a book no matter how hard I may try to hide those moments of pain life brings us all from time to time. She was definitely the best mom anyone could ever wish for. She's been gone 2yrs now and I still catch myself pulling her up on my speed dial sometimes. She gave the absolute best advice and was ALWAYS there for me even when nobody else was. I'm not one to share my feelings with others easily and it's for good reasons mostly from bad experiences. We all have stories to tell and my mom knew mine better than anyone. She was the only one that I trusted to open up to. I do feel fortunate that I spent a whole weekend with her along with my younger brother two weeks before she passed. We had no idea that her time was short due to it was a brain aneurysm that took her. But it definitely gives me comfort knowing that she was so happy that my brother and I surprised her with our visit. She cried when I walked through the door and she saw me for the first time in what had been way too long. I admit I was surprised by her reaction because she let out a little scream when seeing me and she hugged me so tight and I felt one of her tears on my face as we hugged. We get so busy with our lives that we sometimes forget who and what is important. My family is so dysfunctional and fractured and I've always tried to remain neutral which made me shunned by both sides of the family and my mom always would tell me how good of a man I was and that I had a good heart even still with everything that I had gone through and she always said to never change that. I was also lucky to be at her bed side in the hospital after she had the brain aneurysm. The doctor's said there was nothing more they could do for her due to the severity of the aneurysm. As she was leaving this world I wisspered in her ear that I will try my hardest to remain a good man and I told her how much I loved her and would miss her. I have never told any of this to anyone before now. I guess it's easier to get things out this way because it just feels like I'm writing it down on paper instead of telling someone in person. I doubt that many people, if any, will even read this because of how long it is which I'm surprised myself. But once I started writing I just poured it all out I guess. Also Mother's Day is three days from now and it's most likely why I heard this song for the first time today. The part in the song that grabbed my attention was, "As long as she's alive you're not alone." That's so true.
For those of you who read this that mother's are alive I hope you hug them extra hard this Mother's Day and tell them how much they mean to you. Also show them love and how much you appreciate them not only on this Mother's Day, but all the year long.
To all you mother's out there I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day and remember mother's are like real super heroes with all the things they do for us. I have a saying that I always said to my mom and that is she was "Mommy Strong!" Mothers make the world go round. Amen!!!👍

I don't know what to say I tried to send a text earlier I have two adults a strange children pretty much since my divorce in one and they just continue to spend more time with their father and the other woman which was a friend of mine and I have cancer for the second time is terminal and it seems like I was a very good mom but it seems like they don't even recognize that and I think it's because they couldn't handle the change because he was a a hole and screwed me financially he still has a home did I designed and we built together and that's where they go for all the holidays yes I have said things about their father that aren't really good for a mother to say but I've been so hurt and I'm all alone and I don't know how much I can take so I'm going to send this to them and thank you Sugarland I've always loved all of your songs ❤️

And mine was fantastic to the first two when the Gross Household product was a small number, but as the wealth grew, her ability to be distracted by her desires outside of the home, she didn’t have time or desire for the bottom two. We received the message still to this day. God has kept her from following her one husband’s footsteps into heaven. She is still figuring out the Lord saves the best for last.

She got a David, a King, but she was small minded and sour puss jealous in the window when her husband came home with the Ark of God and women scantily clad were falling at his feet in joyful celebration. David looked up and saw her mean and ugly face and never looked upon again. He left home as much as he could to tell everyone about God. (Not to sleep around with adoring women.) Nope not an ounce of joy in that woman. I blame the Catholic faith.
